While I ordered the replacement battery for my garage door opener from ReplaceUPS Battery I first checked with the garage door company that installed our openers. "Battery did not meet spec's, unusable. Company asserts that the problem was that I don't know the positive terminal from the negative, although in fact the geometry of the battery was wrong. Customer service suggested that I "bend terminals," although safety issues aside that wouldn't have solved the issue. Did get an RMA authorization from them, but after paying postage back I'd've netted no more than a couple of dollars refund if they'd honored it. Tired of dealing with them so I just ate the loss and took their battery to the recycler.

I have ordered other UPC batteries over the Web, but with a heavy item like UPS batteries you take your chances. I rolled craps with these people, maybe you'll be luckier."
