"BEWARE - THIS COMPANY IS RUNNING A SCAM!!!
I ordered direcTV service from them and was told that the installation was free. They then sent out a local contractor who said that because of the location of my TV receiver down stairs they could not install the cables. This company than refused to refund the amount to purchase the equipment from them. Talking to my local DirecTV installer he confirmed that they get many complaints about Rapid Satellite as they are only interested in a sell and will not tell you that you can end up paying hundreds of dollars for installation once you have made the purchase and then not refund your money!

"I dont have an invoice number because they never showed up. 2 Days they did not show up!!! They refuse to give me a refund and kept me on hold for over 30 minutes. They are not a reputable company. Go thru directv-directly!!!
I still never got my money back, nor did I get any help from directv, rapid satellite or circuit city. do not use this company under any circumstances.

"4 stars to Rapid Satellite!!!
Great price on new HDTV Direct TV Tivo HR10-250.
Nobody has them in stock..Delivery in 10 days & free
install on 11th day.
The only minus is thier customer service..
The day before I rec'd the unit I called & was told it would ship in a week. The next day it was delivered?????
So, I would definetely deal with them again.
But, they should get a better order tracking system

"Avoid this company. They have 2 promotions where you would get a free dvd player and rebate on shipping. I sent in both a month and a half ago and haven't heard anything. I also checked the referer to see if he got the referal fee of $60. Nothing. I call customer service and all they can say is it could take a long time to process promotions and that I can re-submit the paperwork if I want to. I then asked them about the referral fee promoted on their web site and they said I need to Call Direct-TV. What? Avoid this company. If you want to get Direct Tv I heard eXpert satellite is much better."

"This co. sucks. First, I paid an extra $19.95 for 3-day shipping. Item took 7 days. Since you are required to let their installer install the equipment, you're at their mercy. The installer is supposed to call you in 24 or 48 hrs. If they don't call after 72 hrs. you call them for an appointment. My installer never called. I tried to call them for 2 days, no answer. When I did get an answer, I was told he would talk to his installer and get back to me. He never called. I called him the next day and was told that he would have the installer call me that evening or the next morning. No one called. I called rapid(my ass) satellite office and asked for someone who could help because I was getting nowhere with this installer. They put me through to the installer again. Thanks a lot. This time he wants to call his installer and call me back and I told him not to bother just send someone to install it. Then he tries to give me his installer's # and I told him to send someone to install it. An hour later his installer called and we agreed on an instalation in 2 more days. This sounds like crap too, but we'll see. Anyone's best bet is Dish Network. I had them for 9 yrs. and never a problem."
