"Order the Canon D320 copier online for $149. Got a confirmation charging me $249 on my credit card without my authorization. Called Quill & was told there was a price mistake on the copier. They would not honor the $149 price. Which is fine, but what about fraudulently charging my credit card for $100 more is an criminal act because I never gave them authorization. They should just canceled my order. But they choose to just charge my card more. When I have a order confirmation showing $149. I will never do business with Quill. They will use unethical means of selling there products and also charge your credit card without your consent."

"very degraded merchant. Can do anything to do business. Do not add any useless items to make bill above some limit in order to get some rebate. They will ship useless items and never ship main item saying price mistake. you will end up with useless items."

"They had an external USB drive on sale for a very good price, combined with a $30 off a $100-order coupon and free shipping, this was a terrific deal!

I have read all the negative reviews of Quill, but decided to try it anyway.

I did have an initial problem--the coupon I used expired over the weekend, which is when I placed the order, so by the time the order was actually processed the following Monday, the coupon had expired and was not applicable. Nobody mentioned this to me, and my credit card was charged for the full price not reflecting the coupon savings.

I called the billing department, who at first did not want to honour the coupon since they didn't process the order until Monday that effectively set the time of the order, meaning the coupon was expired and not applied. After not accepting that answer, I was transferred to the customer service department who were very helpful and just manually credited me the $30, remedying the situation.
Overall, notwithstanding the fact that I was not notified of the coupon being rejected, I was pretty happy with my purchase--I got an awesome deal, and the customer service department were able to rectify the invoice issue. The order was shipped promptly on Monday and arrived the next day, Tuesday. I would purchase from them again.

"They have deals they don't honor!

"I had ordered a Cannon D340 digital copier recently for $149.98 which was supposed to be free after MIR from cannon--TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, RIGHT?. That's what it turned out. Quill just informed that they have cancelled the order after taking all my credit card information and showing me order confirmation. They will send this copier to me if I now purchase it for 299.98.

Now that I read everywhere about them I realize that they are a fraud company who do not have Verisign security present on their website. They have done this "Cannon D340 copier scam" quite a few times in the past--you can check it on the internet what others are saying. NEVER DO ANY TRANSACTIONS WITH THEM--SEE THE RATINGS HERE AS WELL.

"I found out about quill.com from a message board. Everyone was warning against purchasing from them. I knew that they are owned by staples so they won't be one of those rip-off companies that take your money and sell and send you something different than what you ordered.
Most of the complainys were about orders being cancelled. They had the Canon XTI kit for $624.99 and they had a 20% off coupon and two coupons for free pop corn and cookies. I figured that the worst that could happen is that they cancel the order. So I went ahead and placed the order on saturday. It was scary because the order total did not indicate the coupon discount. The confirmation email did not arrive except until monday. It showed the correct price of $499 (20% off of 625). On tuesday, I did receive the camera, with everything as expected, I also received a box of delicious cookies and a bucket of pop corn that I am yet to try! Overall excellent experience. Thumbs up from me!

"Purchased a VX Revolution and a couple of days later without any notification I was wondering what was going on with this order. I checked my account on their website and my order was canceled without any explanation or any notification. My credit card is still being charged the full amount and I wrote an email to them asking for refund for the full amount. They seem to have good deals but what's the point if they just cancel your order without even notifying you or without an explanation. I'm never buying anything from here again."

"What a Joke! I ordered 5 mice and got a call from CSR stating 1 per customer! Quill should update their software, when checking out no where did it state 1 per person! It actually allowed me to order 5, then the dreaded phone call from CSR! Next time the Quill guy comes to our office I'm throwing him out on his A**! "

There are many consistently dependable suppliers in your area of activity which will stand by the prices that they publish - and take the responsibility for what they say rather than simply ask the customer to accept the consequences of your error. You can be certain that I will no longer order from your company. In addition I will add my rating to your already extremely poor rating at resellerratings.com, which I should have consulted before ever placing an order with you.

"Twice, I have ordered an HP printer direct from their website. Twice they have emailed me the next day cancelling the order as quoted:

"We are sorry, we are unable to fulfill
the order that you placed today. The
promotional offers you requested were
sent to a limited, select group of
customers and we are unable to accept
requests from customers outside of this
group."

They discriminate unethically and do NOT honor the deals and discounts listed on their own website. They only want large corporate orders of whom they can put on a pretty good "smoke and mirrors show", ship what is convenient and profitable, then cancel or backorder the balance for an unreasonable time.
Vultures do NOT change their ways. They acted this way 30 years ago when I was a purchasing manager of a mid-sized corporation, and they still act in the same unethical way today.

Best advise is to stay far, far away from Quill!

"Rep came by offering a great price on copy paper we use. When presented with the order ticket it showed three product numbers. I asked, why three numbers and was told “that’s how I need to place the order to get you a good deal but I promise it’s the same paper”. I was skeptical but since the price was so low and I was being billed later I thought what the heck. Email invoice came in with the names of the product and sure enough it wasn't the same paper at all. It showed three boxes of what I was sold and the rest a much cheaper brand.
This company lies and scams plus their prices are high once you really look at it. Be careful and tell them to get lost when they show up at your office doorstep. Was quoted $21 for a case of hammermill paper when we pay $38 but their real price was $52!
Called their main number and told them what happened and they made excuses for their sales person. Was told “they do that because they work on commission and she was just trying to get you the best deal”. Sorry but that’s called “bate and switch” and it’s illegal. If you have already ordered something from them and have seen the same thing just call their main number and scream “bate and switch” and they seem to listen to you after that.
