Great Prices and customer service

"I read all of these horrible reviews about pro winds and I’ve had only great experiences. I’ve ordered three saxophones from them and it’s always been easy. Easy financing and Dean gives great customer service. I’ve bought a Reference 54 Tenor, Yamaha 875 soprano and the new Selmer Signature Tenor recently. Called up on Black Friday and he gave me a great deal on it and had send out on Tuesday. Horn came in perfect condition and set up beautifully Thanks Dean appreciate it. "

Good price; Good service

"After reading a lot of reviews stating the service and delivery times were a problem with Pro Winds, I regretted ordering a Tom Crown trumpet practice mute from them. However, I emailed them with my concerns and asked whether the mute was in stock and would be shipped in a timely matter. Dean emailed right away to say the mute would be shipped out the next day and that I would receive a USPS tracking number. Within 24 hours I received the tracking number and 8 days later I received the mute. I was impressed with the great price which is why I ordered from the Pro Winds in the first place, the prompt reply from Dean addressing all my concerns, and how quickly I received the product."

A model of how business should be done...

"I have been dealing with Dean, the manager since 2014. Back then, it was just for a mouthpiece. I received it under 1 week without incident. Fast foward to May of 2020. I wanted to purchase a very high end Alto Saxophone. I purchased it on the Website and received a call from Dean the very next day, explaining because of the pandemic, there is going to be a delay and doesn't know when it will be in. Without me asking, Dean said he was going to leave it on order, and refund my payment, and when he gets word, he will contact me. Three weeks later, Dean called me and told me it's on the way. Now, after I ordered the sax, I saw many scathing reviews that just had me scratching my head.. I recieved the sax the very next week. All along, Dean was in contact with me along the way. I never brought up the bad reviews, but I was puzzled. I own my own business and I have a keen sense of reading people. Dean was always in communication and extremely honest. So, 3 months later, I bought a very high end Tenor sax and received that without any issue. Three months later, I purchased a very high end Soprano sax and once again, absolutely no issues what so ever! And just last month, I ordered the final piece of the Yanagisawa Bronze Elite collection, the Baritone and received it just yesterday. All of these horns were purchase through Dean of Pro Winds without any issue at all. Dean was always in contact with me. I have spent 30k on saxophones with Dean, and lot's of accessories. I never has a worry or concern. Dean often offered very good technical advise. I truly believe that any negative reviews or comments, must be from competition or from people that are conditioned from the 2 day shipping from Amazon.. Most of the horns Dean sells are made to order and are for the serious player. Pro Winds has earned my trust for any future purchases."

Excellent sax case, fast shipping

"I purchased a Protec MX340CT case for my son at a price $40 cheaper than other sites. The case is perfect, and it was shipped quickly and arrived within 4 business days - including crossing the country during Hurricane Ida - and the shipping was free! I'm VERY pleased and will definitely order from Prowinds.com again."

terrible experience

"I ordered a sacophone ligature from this company. Was not happy with it and sent it back for a refund. No refund. Emailed them. No communication. Called them. This guy says he will check on it and get back to me. Nothing. To make a loooong story short I had to file a claim with Paypal to get my money back. I wasted a lot of time with this company that has no customer service and no communication at all. I should have read all the reviews before ordering anything from them. Don't waste your time just to save a few bucks because you will pay for it in the long run with all the time you waste trying to get your money back if you have to return it. "

Top Notch / Very Underrated!

"I've been dealing with Prowinds (Dean for 4 years now). I've bought 6 saxophones, numerous boxes of reeds.....any and everything related to saxophone. Dean is always in close communication every step of the way. In cases that an item was backordered, I was fully informed up front, with ETA. All delivered as promised. One-stop-shop here, no need to look any further!"

Very Positive Experience!!

"Ordered high end trombone working directly with Dean over the phone; for personal reasons I won't disclose, I decided to return the instrument, availing of the Pro Winds very reasonable return policy. While I was a bit skeptical of how it would turn out because of several poor reviews, Dean & Co. came through immediately with my full refund! I was not out a dime- Pro Winds covered the return shipping, everything!
I often find unfavorable reviews that are poorly written, with misspellings and obvious skewing of the facts due to customers being too angry or overly emotional to give proper, objective reviews. Here, Dean/Pro Winds deserve due recognition for being top notch customer service-wise. I would return to this fine company for any future musical purchases!

"Ordered 5 Backun mouthpieces from Prowinds to try. I placed my order with them specifically because the website said that they had all of the mouthpieces in stock. I placed my order April 28th.

After a few weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything, I called to check on my order. They only had two of the mouthpieces in stock, and were waiting to get the others shipped to them from Backun. They told me that it would take awhile because Backun had to make them before they could ship them to Prowinds (not sure if this is true), as they claimed Backun didn' have any in stock.

I waited a few more weeks and still hadn't heard anything. Then I called to see if they could at least ship me the mouthpieces they actually had in stock. They did that.

After waiting another week and still hearing nothing, I decided to send all the mouthpieces back. I didn't like the ones I tried, and who knows when the others would be coming.

I called and told the person that I would just like to cancel the rest of my order, and send back the mouthpieces I had tried and didn't like. The person was very rude about this and said, "You don't want *any* of them?! What are we supposed to do with all those mouthpieces? Now we are stuck with them!" I said, "Okay. I'm shipping them back to you."

I sent them back and the shipment was signed by someone at Prowinds on the morning of June 25th. I never received a call or a refund for my $2,000.

I finally called Prowinds again sometime around July 15th. I spoke to someone who said that he would check the warehouse to see what was up, as he didn't see any notes on my account about this matter. I waited a few days and then called him back because I hadn't heard back from him. This time he told me he left a message with the warehouse, but that the guy working there was gone that day, so he would email me the next day.

Now it's July 24th, and I just called Prowinds again. No one answered, so I left a message. I 100% do not expect them to call me back, so I will call them again in an hour.

I will never, ever order anything from this company again, and I would advise you to never order anything from them again. They have had my $2,000 for three months now. I would like it back.
