"I've used protectmeplans.com for the last 3yrs(phone and tablet). Customer service was great when I bought the protection agreements. The reviews on the company were all great and they had the BBB logo with a "A+" rating. However, recently (Jan 2013) I had to file a claim for my broken tablet. This was the first time I had to file a claim. Customer service line was always busy or they never returned my calls or emails. After an entire month of trying to get a hold of them sometimes 5-7 calls per day-I left at least 10 vmails and emails. I never heard back from them. I am a full time student and I used my tablet every day on campus, at work and while I'm at home. This last months have been the worst with out my tablet. Now is just waiting to get fixed, and after spending $600 on the tablet and $149 for "Insurance" I feel as if I just threw away that money. Upset at myself and at Protectmeplans.com I decided to file a claim with BBB.org. But even BBB could not get a hold of them, and they also tried several times.
So this is what I have to tell you about Protectme, THEY ARE A SCAM, IF YOU PAY ATTENTION, EVERYTHING POSTED ONLINE ABOUT THIS COMPANY IS AT LEAST A YEAR OLD.
THEY ARE NOT ACCREDITED WITH BBB.ORG.
IN FACT THEY ARE RATED "F".

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET INSURANCE FROM A MORE TRUSTED ESTABLISHMENT. FOR EXAMPLE-BEST BUY, WITH PROOF OF PURCHASE, WILL OFFER INSURANCE IF THE DEVICE WAS BOUGHT WITHIN 30 DAYS.NEWEGG.COM WILL DO THE SAME.

"It appears to be a good program. I have not had to use the warranty service to date but enrollment was easy. It offers advantages over the Apple Care Plan which make it a good bargain.

"Protectmeplans have customer service that responds on a timely manner your questions. I value their price point as well as what they cover. Insuring an iPhone is absolutely important. I lost mine 3 times since I bought it on March 25, 2011. It's just so simple for one to change the chip and voila, their iPhone is up and running. I got my sticker which allows us an option to recover if found. I believe the data is more important. I'm glad ProtectMePlans is able to service what I have been looking for, protection."
