"I bought a digital camera, Canon s230, on December 4. On December 7, when I went to check the status of the order, the website said my account didn't exist. Ok, I call them. 35 min. of hold later the operator says my order is there no problem and it will ship shortly. My credit card has been charged on Dec. 7, it is now the 21st and no camera.
No way to get ahold of them either. The customer service portion of the website gives a "File not found" error to all inquires, email is not answered, and I haven't been able to get them on the phone since the 7th of December.

"I cannot recommend this company for purchasing product. I attempted to order a Sony DSC-S85 digital camera. Every website, including PriceIt4Less’s indicated that this item was in stock and available. I placed the order via their online ordering system (through AOL’s shopping). The next morning I called to confirm the order and the availability. After waiting on hold for an unusually long period of time, I spoke to a representative. I asked if the order was received, and it had been, however, the sales pitch started for memory cards, cases, etc. He didn’t give me a “hard” sell, but it was the typical BS type stuff. Of course, I didn’t order any of the high priced accessories. After all of this, he finally told me the camera was on backorder, and would not be in for a couple of weeks. I told him I needed it sooner than that and cancelled the order.

The whole order and confirmation seemed to be a bit questionable. Multiple websites state that they have the product in stock, however, it would seem that if you do not want to order all the high margin accessories, these types of companies do not want your business, or try to make it extremely difficult to do business with them. I will never attempt to order from this company again. However, they are in no way worse than the absolute worst company on the internet – Broadway Photo. Be wary, very wary, of these companies and go ahead and pay a little more with a reputable company. You will find the security in your ordering much more valuable than the 5% price difference. And by all means, STAY AWAY FROM BROADWAY PHOTO.

"I dealt with a rep. called "Mitch". He was knowlegdable and quite friendly. I indicated that I needed the camera (Nikon CoolPix4300) A.S.A.P and he said the it may take a couple of days to ship out. It turns out that he got it out the door for me that day and I received it at the end of the next biz day. That was nice and the price was good too. A+ on this order. Thanx to Mitch and PriceIt4Less.com"

"What a scam... I just cancelled my order after over 2 months of waiting. I called this company at least 5 times to check the order status. Each time, the PriceIt4Less website, as well as Cnet.com, showed that the Sony DSC-F707 Digital Camera that I had ordered was IN STOCK and AVAILABLE (side note: price of item kept dropping each time I checked the website). However, each time I called, the representative told me it was on backorder, and told me the new shipment "should arrive about Thursday or Friday." After participating in this charade for over 2 months, I have decided to pull the plug on my Price It 4 Less experience and pay a little more to deal with a reputable company."

"Watch out for companies like priceit4less.com that claim to have a popular item in stock... and weeks later still haven't shipped your purchase.

I had a bad experience at PRICEIT4LESS.COM. Their website and their sales representatives said they had the Nikon Coolpix 995 digital camera in stock. I ordered the camera on their website and called them the next day to reconfirm the order as required by them. They tried to upsell me with substantially overpriced accessories/additions and then offered me a 25% rebate on these overpriced items. I respectfully declined to buy any other items and was told that everything was OK and that I would receive an email after the camera had been shipped. When I called to inquire about the delivery dates for my purchase about a week later, I was told that it could take another 5-10 days before the camera was shipped because they had to ship over two hundred orders for that camera ahead of me.

When I still did not get any camera from pricit4less.com four weeks after I placed my order, surprise surprise, they finally claimed that the camera was on backorder and they could still not give me an exact shipping date. That left me with no alternative than to cancel the order after having wasted a month because of their deceptive ways to conduct business.

I strongly suspect that priceit4less tries to attract clients with great prices for popular items. After the client has ordered, they try to upsell at outrageously high prices. If the client is not interested to add these overpriced extras, then they just don't ship the order, and you don't hear from them anymore.

Priceit4less.com still displays the "Gómez.com certified" logo on their site despite that it should have been taken down by March 31, 2002 (just click on the Gómez.com logo to find out more):
"The Gómez Merchant Certification program has ceased operations as of March 31, 2002. Merchants currently certified under the Gómez Certification program should remove all references, logos and/or images of the Gómez Merchant Certification program displayed on their sites or affiliate sites by March 31, 2002."

"Purchased a Sony VX2000 camera from this site. This company didn't have the lowest price on the 'net, but it can be dangerous to shop like that online. I needed a compromise.
I followed a recommendation I saw on a DV message forum to this place, and they seemed to be on the up-and-up. And, they didn't seem to be soaking you for shipping. Pretty much what the carriers charge, they charged. I ordered the camera. This is when things get a little weird..
I ordered an extra's package with this, but not the "Delux". No extra warrentee ("Extended Warrentee? How can I go wrong!?" - Homer Simpson). About an hour after I placed the ordered, I received an email verifying my order. 2 hours after that, I received a call (it was expected), to both reverify my order, and try to up-sell me more stuff. I declined the stuff, and asked when it would ship (I put it 2nd day air for shipping - ordering Friday, should arrive Wednesday). They said they didn't actually have any stock, but (talking quickly here) "it should be to you in 10 days." Okayyyy, says I. Now, to go on a tangent for just a moment, I once worked for one of the computer companies that went through the Internet boom-to-bust. They are not in business, but can still be found on these pages somewhere, still smelling fishy from all the rotten deals they did. At this point, I got more than a little nervous. But, I figured ... we'll see. So I let it ride.
About 4 hours after that call, I checked my order status. I'm compulsive like that, even though I figured it would be in Processing, or some such nonsuch. Instead, it said "Shipping". And there was a tracking number....
Okay, Priceit4Less has a policy that says they don't charge your card until the thing ships (which is why I went thru them). Now I got really nervous - am I going to get my camera, or is it going to be a box of "extras" that I did order? I finally dug deeper into their site, and saw that on one of their Policy pages, a statement referring to themselves as ZeroDelivery.com. I punched that into my browser ... and saw the EXACT same page format appear. Products were different, and there was no numbers given for contact info - but format all the same. Now I got really really nervous - but I had to wait it out, now.
So, I sweated it out for the next few days (when you're even slightly compulsive/obsessive like me, ordering by mail is TORTURE) - but to make a very long post end - the package finally came. Inside, EVERYTHING. Including camera, in perfect working condition. Haven't had a problem in the month I've had it.
I gotta say, I'm VERY pleased with this company. Do-business-with-them-again-pleased? You better believe it.
