"This is one of the most disappointing merchant I have used. I placed an order for a DVD for a gift, and received a confirmation and tracking number. The "tracking" feature on the site is poor, and for the next week whenever I tried it I was told my order was open with no shipping date. Interesting since when I ordered I was told that orders usually go out in two business days. Finally, a week and a half after the order I checked their site again and was told that the item was out of stock and my order was cancelled. If they are going to provide such poor service, the least they could do is reach out to their customers to proactively give bad news."

"I don't recommend ordering at playcentric if you want good customer support and product availability. First, their website is very poorly done. The product database is not connected to the website. That means that you can add product that are not even in stock to your cart to learn a week later that it's not available. If you see a product that is out of stock, it's because someone at playcentric manualy updated the website. The product I ordered was out of stock but it's still not updated on their website! Last, don't expect to have reply to your email. It's clearly written "You will hear back from us within 24 hours" but it's a lie. I never received any reply to my email"

"Very bad experience. First, they sent me the worng item. Then I found out the only way to contact them is via e-mail so I had to wait a couple of days for them to respond. They told me to send the product back to one of their warehouses in Canada, so I did. I've now been waiting for a month and somehow they say that they haven't received the itme yet and that they'll refund my money when they do... Let's just say I'm glad I didn't get anything expensive from them, so i can write this off as a small loss.

Update(May 8th): After over a month since sending them the return, they sent me an e-mail this morning saying that they had jsut received my return and will refund my account within two days. I'll cross my fingers...

"Playcentric rocks my party. Very low prices especially with the present sale, and it is very easy to order on the site. I bought two cds by looking at the top 10 ranking system and love the ability to hear every song on the album. The ONLY downside to them is they charge more than media mail and first class ACTUALLY cost. "

"Three weeks and still haven't received anything. Waited past the time they gave and contacted them. They would only tell me to wait some more. Refused to give a date when they actually would do anything about the missing order. Won't even provide any proof they actually shipped it. Avoid!!!"

"Order a DVD from them on 12/16/02, they charged my credit card that day, one month and 2 emails (12/31/02 and 01/08/03) later, I only got computer generated email messages saying that they will check into the order. My order still shows as "Processing." These people have no clue how to take care of their customer. It's unethical that they took my money, and one month later, still haven't deliver the goods (what are we, still in the stone ages ?) Totally UNETHICAL !! It's a pitty that I did have a previous good experience with them. You can only be sucker once before you realized they don't care about you. You can just roll the dice, and try your luck. and then maybe you'll be in my situation chalking up another bad merchant. Btw, I called my credit card company and requested a charge back on these people."

"Preordered Six Feet UNder Season 2 DVD set. Once again Playcentric had a great price and free shipping. The order shipped out promptly and I received it in 3 days after it was available (they now seem to provide you with a USPS tracking number). It arrived in exellent condition and was this time in a USPS Priority Mail box instead of a bubble mailer. There was no packing materials used the boxset was just moving around freeing in the box. The packing could have been better, although it did arrive in perfect condition. So far its 2 for 2 with Playcentric. "

"There was only three other reviews so I thought I'd take a gamble ordering from these guys...

VERY HAPPY! WILL ORDER FROM AGAIN! I ordered 3 single DVDs and 3 3-disc DVD sets (6 items in list). They were BY FAR cheaper than everybody else on all the movies I ordered plus they had a special coupon savings on up to five DVDs. Their shipping price was good and the shipment went out the next day after ordering at midnight. Ordered midnight on Thursday, received next Thurday so it was very quick (january 1st considered holiday) - 3 business days!! All of the movies arrived in excellent condition in a sturdy cardboard box. The only thing about the order was the "Back to the Future Trilogy" DVD set on their website shows it as the english-only version and the one I got was the Canadian version which includes French Dolby Digital. Since both versions are identical except mine with the extra french track, I didn't care. KUDOS TO PLAYCENTRIC! I will be making another order within a month.

(Only thing is I wish there was a phone number to contact them if I needed help)

"TRY TO GET A REFUND FROM THESE GUYS! I purchased 3 DVDs and a PC game from them on 8 December. A week later I received a package from them. When I opened it it contained 2 DVD collection sets for movies I didn't order although the invoice inside the box listed the items that I ordered. Simply mistake I thought, just e-mail them (they have no phone number) and explain the situation. They replied that they would resend the order but never did despite numerous inquiries. When it became apparent that they were not going to ship my order in time for Christmas I asked for a refund since my order was never sent. For the last 2 weeks they have been "determining" whether my order was resent. How hard could this be? Apparently this is too difficult for PLAYCENTRIC to handle. Run don't walk away from these guys unless you want to risk this type of hassle. "

"Great price (cheapest anywhere) for NHL 2k3 on XBOX. Emails to customer support were answered within a day... and I emailed more than once. Ordered on a Sunday night and received it (standard air mail) 5 business days later (as advertised).
