"NEVER AGAIN!!!!
We have been so frustrated with our shopping experience at PlasmaBay, we would NEVER NEVER order from them again. We contacted Customer Service on 5 occasions to try to get information about our orders' progress. The order was listed on their site as "to be shipped" for 2 weeks! Customer Service reps were rude, gave us inaccurate and misleading information, and seemed to want to "get us off their backs" as quickly as possible. They seemed to give us information just to get us off the phone, and stop answering questions. Our credit card was charged almost a full 3 weeks before we recieved our merchandise. When our merchandise finally shipped, the tracking number and the shipping company were totally incorrect. So as we tried to track our package, we kept getting an error message about the shipment. Our package arrived on our doorstep via a different carrier, and different tracking number!!!! Price was good, but I wouldn't trust this company again after this first experience.

"*WARNNING* DO NOT BUY FROM PLASMABAY.COM!!!
Before placing the order I asked atleast 2 times if the order is in stock, each time I was assured. The television was being discontinued so I needed to act fast. I placed the order... and waited ... and waited.... and waited. I checked the website for my status, "processing." So, 4 days later I call and asked whats up. "Oh, the item is out of stock." YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! So, I told them why didn't you call me?! I could have bought it elsewhere (the TV is now longer available all SOLD out!). So he tried to tell me, "oh that tv wasn't good anyway, blah blah" and trying to sell me another. VERY DISATISFIED!

"I bought a TIVO TCD540080 Personal Video Recorder
with 80 GB Hard Drive for $289. When I placed the order their website claimed that this item was in stock. Checked my order status 3 days later and saw "In Warehouse". Sent and email to customer service inquiring when this item would ship. Got no response after 3 more days, so I sent another email requesting the shipping date. Neither emails generated a response from PlasmaBay. Finally, after 10 days from the order date, I called. After a very short hold, I was told that the item was "in the warehouse" but would ship the next day. To my surprise, the order arrived 2 days later.

"Horrible! On line, says item is in stock, ordered on line. E-mail from Plasma bay said NOTHING about item not in stock, nor that item was going to be late, and I ordered the DENON 380 as a Christmas gift. I had a bad feeling, so I called customer service, and only then did I find out that item was not in stock!"

"horrible customer service, won't return phone calls or emails didn't deliver merchandise but charged my credit card. hang up on you when you call to have them cancel the order and credit the credit card I have to go through visa to take care of this I don't recommend this site to anyone. they put there phone on a message saying they are closed when they are indeed open. Don't shop here!!!!!"

"These people are another fly-by-night .com outfit that probably stocks nothing, but lie when you ask if the item is in stock.

I selected this outfit because of their Epinions “Trusted Store “ rating.
Based on my experience, this raises all kinds of questions about the value of such a rating
and could it be, that all those positive reports are generated by them?

My story is that on Tuesday, 1 Jun 04, I placed an order for a Samsung HDTV model LTN 1765 and specifically asked if it was in stock.

They answered in the affirmative and would ship in 2-3 business days and email me a tracking number. Curiously they insisted on my credit card number first before they even asked for my name.

On Thursday , 3 Jun 04, after receiving no tracking number I called and was told that the unit definitely was in stock and would ship that day or Friday.

No dice. I called today Monday, 7 Jun 04, and was finally told the truth, they do not have the unit and that some warehouse says it is backordered.

What they are unaware of is, that this unit has been discontinued. Which is why I asked if they had it in stock in the first place. I then cancelled the order.

The customer service people were always polite and answered the phone promptly and so far have not billed to my credit card..

I will now have to extend my no buying zone out to a 50 mile radius from New York City. (They are in New Jersey)
