"Philips support is non existent. I was promised help re a product I intended to buy. However, after sending emails to their support I was ignored. I have since purchased another brand and will not be purchasing from Philips in the future. I also know of quite a few people who have purchase Philips products and have had no support whatsoever when the product became faulty. TRUST ME NO PRODUCT IS WORTH PURCHASING WITH NON EXISTENT SUPPORT"

"Philips currently is selling a home theater system through Newegg.com. I purchased one 4/10/2013 and found out that they substituted it with non working generic cheap remote. I returned the unit and Newegg shipped me another one with essentially the same thing. The remote is brandless "3 in 1" which I was told by Philips USA representative did not work well with the system. The subwoofer also lacks the Philips insignia or logo. The representative suggested that the logo just came off! Don't look for it anywhere in the box. It came off before it was packaged.

I contacted Philips was told that the remote was back ordered for weeks. I guess that's the reason for the consumer rip-off. To get a Philips remote it will cost 40% of the package value. I complained to Newegg for potential fraud and got Newegg apologizing and issuing me store credit for failing to check the second shipment. Probably because of Newegg's actions, I was subsequently offered a remote by Philips USA. But my questions about extended warranty was not answered. I ended returning the unit for refund.

I think substituting cheap parts for brand named parts in "refurbished" product is fraud and unethical.

"Bought a set of 2 Philips Sonicare brush heads with $5 rebate. Sent the filled rebate form with UPC and purchase receipt to Philips. Today I checked the rebate status, and found the rebate was rejected with reason "not receive UPC". I sticked the UPC on the filled rebate form, so it can be easy to find and cannot be lost. If they received my filled rebate form, they must have received and found UPC on it. Another funny thing is that the title of my $5 rebate is displaying "Sonicare $15 Rebate" in their system. Only explanation to me is "Philips is lying"."

"I purchased a RCA DLP from etronics. I also purchased a Phillips "48 month Ext. 5 year DOP" warranty which obviously translates 48 month extension 5 year date of purchase. We did a major remodel on our house and somehow the warranty document got packed away somewhere never to be found, but I do have the original invoice. TV needs service about 4 months before the end of the 5 year period. Called Phillips, they claim to hve never heard of me. Over many many e-mails finally they that I was in their system but if was for 4 years from the date of purchase. I send them the invoice. Then they claim that the retailer never paid them for the warranty. I got the retailer involved and they stonewalled them. Phillps just keeps changing their story and will not honor the warranty. Retailer has agreed to refund the warranty cost, but that only gets me to about 30% of the repair cost. I would NEVER buy another warranty from Phillips. They are thieves and will lie to get out of honoring their obligations. I rate them ZERO."

"Ordered the 42" 1080p LCD flat HDTV (42PFL7422D/37B) from the Philips Outlet. Got a quick email confirmation of the purchase and shipping confirmation w/in a week. TV was delivered by EGL Freight without issue approximately two weeks after order was placed. TV is in pristine condition for a refurb and works flawlesly. TV was packaged well and all accessories were included. Very happy and would recommend this seller to others.

"DO NOT BUY FROM the ONLINE STORE! My TV arrived (50 plasma for $999) completely destroyed, I guess dropped in shipping. It is now 8 days later and at least 15 calls (to India) to get it replaced - impossible! Just get sent round and round... Bottom line is I can get my money back after a 7 day investigation determining that the TV I refused to take delivery wasn't my fault, but they won't replace it. They do not offer any replacement on online purchases, only refunds once they determine fault. so yes, I get my cash back but I am frazzled in trying to do so and now it is $500 more then last week. Buy a Panasonic like I am about to! Dave"

"BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT Buy a TV from Phillips Outlet unless you want a large piece of junk sitting in your living room collecting dust! I purchased 2 - 30inch flat screen tvs from Phillips outlet in the past. They work great- no complaints. I recently purchased a new home and bought the nice 53" flat screen Phillips tv to hang over my fireplace- nice, huh? WRONG! The TV arrived 4 months ago- DOA. They have sent me to their authorized repair shop- which has been out to my home to "fix" my tv 6 times. Last week they decided that they needed to bring the tv into the shop. It was delivered back to my home yesterday in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday. I was all ready to watch the big game with my 30+ guests and the tv won't even turn on at this point. Their customer service is NOT helpful and insists we go back to the repair shop. The TV is a lemon. They obviously can't fix it and I'm tired of having to take off of work to let them come into my house to tear my tv apart again. It's Thanksgiving eve- I've spent over $1500.00 on a tv that doesn't work and no one will help.

If you see a "deal" for phillips outlet, take my advice and don't even look. It's not worth the trouble. Several months and lots of time and time off of work later- I still have nothing to show for it except for a large credit card bill. Any suggestions for our next course of action would be much appreciated.

"I received a laptop via a rehab program that was supported by Philips Priority Service. The system ran fine until recently when the wireless NIC failed. I turned it in for warranty work and the repair company was unable to fix it as it was a mother board problem and the MB was no longer available.
I have now been waiting more than two weeks to be contacted about whether it is to be repalced or what is happening. Evey call I make is shunted all over and I cannot get any satisfaction as to what is happening with it.
If you have a Philips Priority Service Extended Warranty have fun getting anything done by them.

"I was supposed to receive a "Factory Renewed" MP3 player. I didn't see anything renewed about it. The player was dirty, had the prior user's songs, and also had a heavily scratched display.

When I called customer service to request replacement due to the scratched display, I was told that minor scratches are acceptable for used items (it is buried in the minutia of their website). When I explained that the scratches made the player difficult to use in daylight, I was told that I needed to call their support hotline.

Philips support told me that a scratched display indicates damage and they therefore wouldn't replace the item.

This was among the worst online shopping experiences I have ever had. Never buy used from Philips!

"Ordered 2 TVs, one 32 and one 27. The 32 was advertised to have an HDMI input. It did not. The outlet store would not exchange, only return, and then only with the packaging, which was destroyed by the delivery guy for ease of delivery.

I guess it's true, you get what you pay for.

"** PHILIPS PRIORITY SERVICE PLANS **
A warranty service division of Philips Electronics.

Purchased a 5 year extended warranty from them for my notebook. Although the warranty certificate expires 3/27/06 I WILL NEVER process another claim with them again. It is CHEAPER to fix the thing myself.

They won't repair anything till you talk to tech support first. That was a 50 minute hold time and 20 minutes with a tech who confirmed what I alread knew. The hard disk was dead.
The Warrant Certificate indicates ON-SITE! On Site for Philips is - we send you a box with return shipping UPS GROUND (not priority). They told me they I would get it back within 7 days.
It has been a month and STILL NOBODY CAN TELL ME CRAP! There is an 800 number for the certificate claim, another number for tech support, and another number for status. Status people have to EMAIL A SINGLE PERSON at another COMPANY (only point of contact I am told).

DON'T BUY EXTENDED WARRANTIES FROM PHILIPS!!!

"I just purchased a Philips AJ3980 CD alarm clock through J&R Music World.

On Philips' website, it states that this model has a Gentle Wake feature in which, and I quote, "The minimum and maximum alarm volume can be set to your requirements."

After much experimentation and a long call to customer service, it is now quite apparent that the volume setting for the Gentle Wake feature are, in fact, NOT adjustible. In addition, the Gentle Wake feature cannot be turned off, and the fixed maximum volume setting is not loud enough to wake me.

I have filed a false advertising complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am returning the item.
