"Ordered a vacuum almost 5 months ago and it still has not been sent. When I emailed about it they said they could not get it and for me to pick another. I emailed back and instructed to cancel the order and refund my credit card. The company still has not responded or refunded my money. If you try and call they do not answer the telephone and they do not publish a mailing address, although I believe they are located in New York."

"I ordered vacuum bags from Vacuums of America which appears to be a front for Payless Vacuum. The picture was for genuine Miele bags. The product description was for genuine Miele bags. The check out cart and invoice were for genuine Miele bags. Even the packing slip on Payless Vacuums was for genuine Miele bags. Unfortunately the bags received were cheap knock-offs.

The company claimed they don't carry Miele bags. They said it was an Amazon Marketplace error, yet their own packing slip showed Genuine Miele bags. They easily could have contacted me by phone or email to query the discrepancy but chose to just send the wrong bags.

It was impossible to get in touch with Payless Vacuum. They never answeer their phone live. They sometimes call back if you leave a voicemail but it is days later. They respond to emails days later if at all.

After much phone tag I finally spoke to Scott who claimed to be the owner. He had provided me with his personal cell phone number which still was never answered live. He was pleasant and tried to be helpful. He also tried to tell me the bags were made by Miele. He then tried to tell me the bags were better quality that Miele. He agreed to take the bags back but shipping would not be refunded.

I paid with Amazon Payments (like Google Checkout). I took the matter to them under their A to Z Guarantee and got a full refund.

I can't recommend this company because they were so difficult to contact and they were less than truthful in their dealings with me.

"Horrible Experience.
Poor Communication.

I placed an order on April 7th, 2008 for a Vacuum Motor. My credit card was also charged on April 7th.

There was no email confirmation or any confirmation whatsoever.
I sent an email for a status update on the 8th and received a reply on the 9th.
They told me that they would basically look into it and get back to me.
I sent them another email on the 9th and 10th.
I even called them 3x during this fiasco and all the calls went right to voice mail.

Their website continuously said "Processing" during this time even though the credit card was charged and cleared through my credit cards website.

After hearing nothing and being unable to get through to anyone on their phones,
On April 14th, I decided to email them to cancel the order. I then initiated a charge back on my credit card.
Within 2 days, Coincidently, Payless Vacuums issued a refund.

Naturally I ended up ordering the part from a different company.

To sum it up, I sent these people 5 emails and called 3x.
This clearly classifies as poor communication.

Only 1 email was ever sent to me. They never did let me know if there was a problem with the order and what the holdup was.

It would have been fine if they just let me know what the status was....Was it in stock(their site listed it as in stock), is it on backorder, was their site having problems, etc?

Based on my experience with them, I Cannot recommend Payless Vacuums to anyone.

Use them at your own risk.
