"I ordered a couple of scsi parts. Due to a backorder, the order did not ship until 3 days later (not bad). Fedex Ground delivered in 2 days from MO to GA. Shipping seemed a little high for Fedex Ground but since they use Fedex, I'm happy! Products are as advertised. Very good prices on some items. Somewhat limited selection. Will use again for my scsi needs."

"Package was damaged, apparently in shipping. PC-Pitstop immediately sent a replacement when I informed them of the matter. They did not jerk the customer around as so many others in the past have done with RMA & the month wait in the "tech department". PC-Pitstop treated me like they would like to be treated.

This was the best customer service possible.

"purchased items on 3-12-04

reviewed previous posts about this vendor and read favorable reviews.

decided to order a external scsi terminator, external scsi 1.5FT cable, and a 9-bay hdd tower since hypermicro was selling a comparable tower for much more.

sent my specs to paul haley and he replied to all my emails within 4-12hrs and was very knowledgeable about scsi configurations to ease my mind about purchasing from his store knowing i was getting the correct items the first time.

partial order was sent from his location and a call order was sent to the hdd tower manf. to ship the tower from them. his order came came on the 3-17-04 and the tower came the next day.

website qouted one price but pricewatch showed same item $20 cheaper. paul gladly refunded the difference without question, rare person/store indeed that honors and old pricewatch listing that was dated 2 months old.

all parts worked and nothing was dented when unpacked.

customer service is 6 stars out of 5. i place his store right next to newegg. will order again from him whenever i need anything scsi related.

update:

after getting my new case, i inquired paul about the scsi id switch cables and come to find out the manf. installed the wrong cables. we sent emails back and forth for about 1 day, and paul finally understood what i was trying to explain. paul gladly shipped out the new correct cables.

"I am VERY impressed with PC-Pitstop. I placed my order from a couple of obscure SCSI drives at around 3:00pm EST for overnite delivery. I expected a day to ship, then another to arrive. To my suprise, the drives arrived the next day!! I had to request an RMA (my fault completely, not theirs) and they have been WONDERFUL to work with. Paul replies to emails almost as if he's at a PC 24/7. If you are considering ordering from PC-Pitstop, I highly recommend them. This is what customer service should be. "

"I started using this company about 3 years ago because they were involved in a local computer show presented by BlueStar Shows. I came to him and he beat everyone's price on what I was looking for, but most importantly, he was local to me. Everybody else was more than 200 miles away. And it helps that he was very cordial and customer oriented.

I have built many systems with parts that I purchased from him and he stands behind every part that they sell.

If you have a question about any item that he carries, they are extremely knowledgeable about it. I have never had a bad experience when purchasing from them.

"*Update 2* They sent me the part priority. Good stuff.


*Update* Got over my laziness and sent them an email. There was some error regarding my billing address and credit card company. I "should have received an email" but it must have "gotten lost in the shuffle." Close to Christmas so I will give them that one.


Ordered a laptop to IDE hard drive converter on 12/8. Received the confirmation email with order# and the usual information. Didn't receive any shipping notice and hadn't received it after two weeks so I began to wonder what was the deal here. I checked my credit card and haven't been billed for it as of 12/28. Since it was only $12 I'm too lazy to check up on it but I won't be ordering anything in the future. Did they lose the order or something? An email saying it was out of stock would be nice if that were the case. Oh well, bought a new one for $14 at a local PC shop.

"Fast shipping and good customer service.
But beware the "white box" items.
I purchased the 3WARE Escalade 7500-4LP white box kit (http://www.pc-pitstop.com/ide_raid/) which is supposed to include:
- 7500-4LP RAID card
- four 3-position 80 conductor PVC insulated flat ribbon cables
- two Y-split power extension cables
- manual
- drivers & management software on CD
- 3-year warranty

When the package arrived, I only got the 7500-4LP RAID card. After a quick to e-mail to customer service, I got a nice apologetic e-mail response saying that the missing items will be sent Priority Mail. Well, a few days later I received the 4 Ultra ATA cables, one Y-split power cable, a burned CD-R with the software.

I also purchased the Cremax MB810-AKF which arrived just fine.

"I did a search on pricewatch for Vantec Stealth 80mm case fans, and saw that PC Pitstop had about the best price advertised. When I checked their website, tho, I found their price to be higher, so e-mailed them about the discrepancy, and asked if they'd pricematch their pricewatch ad.

I received a nice e-mail from Paul, who said they'd honor the price, and refund my c/c the difference, so placed the order.

After 5 days, I still hadn't received any confirmation of my order being sent, so e-mailed them, asking about it.

Paul responded again, and said they were temporarily out, but expected some in, in about 2 days. He also added that he would upgrade my shipping from Fedex ground to Fedex 2 day, at their cost. :)

It's customer service like this that will cause me to go back to PC Pitstop and shop again. No hassles, no blowing me off, just quick answers, and friendly customer service!

They're also supposed to be implementing a new shopping cart program that will allow shoppers to track future orders.

"I bought XP Pro from them and was very pleased with their price...the lowest O've been able to find. My only slight complaint is that it's pictured and presented to be in the actual retail box. Instead, it's the "distrubted with a new PC ONLY" thing...I guess that's no biggie though. I haven't gotten my PC finished yet to test it...but I'm sure it's fine. Anyway, it shipped really fast and arrived right on time. I would buy from them again...and have already recommended others.

**Update**
The XP software works GREAT and so I ordered some rounded internal SCSI cables from them and they arrived very quick and exactly as ordered! I'm VERY pleased with this company and their customer service. I will definitely use and recommend them again!

"Wow! I must say. I found this reseller using Google. I was trying to find some hard to get 50 pin (narrow) SCSI II cables in the round format. I ordered from them on the 14th and later reviewing all my orders I realized I forgot one cable out of the set (The floppy cables) so I emailed them. Same day they responded and said no problem to adding in the cables to the same shipment. That was Friday, today is MOnday I get a knock on my door, its the friendly FedEx man. That was a suprise, Fed Ex's web site said not until Wednesday, which is reasonable. So I have the cables first out of the entire computer setup. I rate these people A+++ !!! Not bad for a company I found off of Google with no clue how good of a company they are. Would definately buy from again!
