"This is the worst experience I have ever had when shopping online. When I first called them to purchase a new digital camera the sales person was very courteous and helpful and he was very knowledgeable about the products. Everything seemed ok until he said he was going to guaranty the prices he was offering if I give him a good rating in this website. He even said how to fill this survey, he told me even how many questions they were and that I should rush through them marking the excellent option in all of them. It seemed a bit unfair to have me fill the survey so I could get the prices he was offering but since so far the service and products were very good I didn't mind. He even explained I was going to get the email from "resellerratings.com" and I would have to activate it. The problems started after he had made sure I gave him a good rating. As soon as he saw my review he said "thank you for your good rating, I will make sure you get your products on time and at the price we agreed and by the way, the camera you are buying is refurbished". At that moment I discover how unethical this salesperson had been. He saved this "little" detail until I had given him the rating. In all my experience of buying online the last 15 years I had never encounter no salesperson so deceiving. Unfortunately it only gets worse. I hung up and was so upset that 10 minutes later I called him back to cancel the order and he said he felt bad so he was going to keep the same deal with a "new" camera. I was not happy but I accepted. I received my package and with the exception of the camera, everything else I received is not what I had been offered. I also ordered a media card for the camera, a battery charger and a carrying case. None of the 3 items sent was what he offered when he made the sale. I figured since he had to send the “new” camera he had to downgrade everything else to still keep the price he had offered. I researched and all prices on the things they sent where lower than the ones I have originally bought. Being even more upset I called the place and asked to speak with a Sales Manager. When I explained what had happened, he quickly tried to get me of the phone by saying “we only made $30 profit on your sale, I will give you a credit” and it gave me the impression that this things happen all the time. It has been 2 weeks and I am still waiting for that credit. I will make sure nobody I know will ever shop in this place. When I selected this merchant to make my purchase it was because it was so highly rated by other consumers. It is really sad you find out now why their ratings are so high, it is because they make sure the customer completes the survey before they send their merchandise and they cheat and mislead customer to do a good survey. "

"just want to say the customer service was really good. i went to another website and when i called to confirm, i felt a lot of pressure to purchase other things. but when i called and talked to frank, he told me what my options were, and didn't pressure me. i ended up buying accessories and feel that i've gotten a really good deal."

"Had to call and confirm my order, which would have been okay if only they wouldn't have tried to desperately push further deals on me. I only found out right before placing my order that the product I was ordering was refurbished. This was listed nowhere on their site. I would not recommend this company."

"These guys are sheisters to the highest degree. Avoid them at any cost. It has been almost 2 months since my order was placed, and they still continue to ignore me. I have called them half a dozen times concerning my order, and they have never done what they promised to do to fix this. I sent them my final email on 4/13/2003, and they ignored it.

They initially came on very accomodating, and said they would priority ship it if I left positive feedback for them here on RR.com. Stupidly, I did as they asked, and posted before I got my shipment. This is their shady tactic, and how they get positive reviews. You should take their reviews with a LARGE grain of salt.

I purchased an Epson Photo 2200 from them. They suggested that I buy some ink for it when I called, so I said "sure". I also wanted some paper. I ordered 13x19 paper and a full set of 7 cartridges for the printer.

When I finally get the shipment (came several days late of what they promised for which they promised another extra set of ink -- I never got it) they sent Generic refurbished ink! The pictures looked like sh*t, and I wasted several sheets of expensive paper on these prints. NEVER was it suggested that they were sending substandard parts in our conversation. I immediately called them and asked for EPSON brand ink (as if you should have to ask!). They were extremely rude and refused, and even lied about the ink saying "it is better". After several minutes of stating my case, he finally conceded that he would send me epson ink. I called several times, and they never sent it. Disgusted, I went out and bought my own ink elsewhere, and sat down to print a 13x19, but looking at the paper something struck me as wrong. I got on Epson's site, and the paper pcvideoonline sent me wasn't even for my printer!! (was for the old stylus 800 and 600 models).

I wrote them an email (since calling didn't seem to work) explaining this. They never responded. So they have saoked me for about $100 (us) worth of ink and paper that I can't even use with the printer they sold me!

Do yourself a favor, and STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS. When I get the chance, I will be going to the BBB to file a complaint. They flat out LIED to me *several* times over, and kept my money.

"Summary: This company REQUIRED me to give them a good rating exchange for customer service.
This company LIED to me about shipping my order.
This compay OVERCHARGED me on my order by $26.63.

Let me tell you my story. I ordered a Cannon G3 with a Sakar Step Up Barrel Step Up barrel on March 4, 2003, I found this company through pricegrabber.com and it seemed like a good deal (538 for the G3 13.99 for the step up). They required a call to confirm where they spent the next 20 minutes trying to hard sell me on more accessories. I held firm to my order although I upgraded my shipping to 3rd day from ground. Then I waited.... By the 14th I had not recieved my camera so I called them. They had no excuse for the failure to charge me or ship my order. The customer service person then told me "I will ship your order overnight NO CHARGE if you give us a good review at resellerratings.com". Wanting my camera I said yes but wiith reservations. The custoomer service representitive was actiley checking my rating online while I was putting it in. How do I know? He told me so and then tried to walk me through the site. 3 working days later my camera came in UPS gound (not over night) and they overcharged my Credit card by $26.63. The total bill was $575.37 and change and they charged me $602. I have requested a
refund which they agreed to but as of 03/24/03 I have not yet recieved it. I intend to file a report with the NY Better Business Bureau.

"With the negative comments posted here I decided to place my order with a live PCVideo sales rep. I was assured the digital camera was in stock and would ship the same day. There was some gentle pressure to buy accessories but I kindly turned them down. The sales rep got disinterested with real fast and hurried through the rest of the process (shipping address, CC number, etc). [I got the sneaky suspiction I will never see my order]. I confirmed the order number 3 times, and confirmed it will ship the same day.

The next day I called to get the tracking number. I talked to 5 different people, on hold for more than 60 minutes, got disconnected 3 times. In the end no one can find my order number or any shipping information. My CC was charged but do you think they shipped it?

"NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

HERE IS MY STORY:

I placed an order yesterday night.

Today I got a call from them "to confirm my order". The guy started to yelling at me and insult me and called me "stupid" just because I did not want to pay $975. I did not wanted to do it because during checkout order page stated 775$.

I said cancelled the order and called again asking another rep to make sure that order is cancelled and my personal info is removed from their database. They are caliming that thay can not remove my info from database since they do not see it without a new order.

Now I have to call my credit card company and ask to send me a new card :( .

I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSSINESS WITH THEM

The Sales Person (Louis) was extremely helpful.
He was pleasant and very helpful by telling me
that I was buying a reconditioned Lap Top that
had never been used. He gave all the purchasing

"I ordered sony digial camcorder and toshiba laptop and I recieved a day late as they are at new york and the past week there was heavy storm ... over all I'm satisfied as I got great price .... by the way they are not angels thus they know what they are doing .... I got my memory upgrade at a good price and my waranty at excelent price .... for people who complain about this company ... they are dreaming as I'm sure they have never bought anything from the net before ... I will rating this company as very good comparing with many companies on the net ... by the way I've been trying to buy my camera at this price or cheaper from about 8 other companies and when they know I don't need any thing they tell me we don't have them now ....call back I spoke to one of pcvideo sales rep. and he confirmed he has them and gave me the price listed ... and with a free case
net companies are playing a lot of games and this company is one of the least ....hey they have to make money
I will do bussiness with them more in the future ..

"I ordered a Canon Powershot G3 from these guys on a friday (early in the morning). I called in and they told me that they had the camera in stock and ready for my order, and that they would ship it to me by monday or tuesday with my 2nd day air shipping plan. So I made the order online, and a minute later, one of their representatives call me to confirm my order. But then he start to flush me with all these "great" deals they have on accessories and warranties, but I turn him down since I have most of the accessories I already needed. I guess that is when they turn ugly face on me. By Tuesday, I still have not seen my shipment yet. So I decided to check my status online. It turns out, my order have been kicked from "ready to ship and receive in 2 days" to BACKORDER!!! I was furious. So I decide to call in and cancel my order, and those operators just pass me around through all their agents and keep on putting me on hold. I was finally able to get a hold of one, and cancel my order. I guess if you're not one of their big spender customers, they let you wait awhile for your stuff. This is my first and maybe my last bad experience with these FRAUDS!!! My advice, dont ever trust these guys! or those stars ratings when you search through CNET or PRICEGRABBER (I mean they're good search engines, but the ratings can be tainted or misleading sometimes) I find that ResellerRatings give GREAT and ACCURATE ratings to retailers. You should all check a websites ratings before you buy. IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE!!!"

"Watch Out! I think these guys are into bait and switch tactics. I ordered some 2.4 ghtz phones and when I had to call to confirm the order I got the hard sell to upgrade to more expensive items. They tried to tell me what I ordered was not what the web site had stated. Basically the salesman said it was deceptive! Don't trust them. I would rather spend my money at a reputable place and pay a little more for the certainty."

"I purchased a Sony Camcorder and many accessories with the camcorder. The product arrived on time with all the parts I ordered in good working order except the 4 year extended warranty paperwork. I was pleased with the delivery time and the camera worked fine.

When the warranty arrived I found it was not as good as advertised. It didn't cover everything and required shipping, and the company backing the warranty was a shop in New Jersey. When I called to ask for my money back, I was given an extra $50 off the warranty price to make it "at cost". I agreed, but was not happy and am now concerned that I was mislead in other ways.
