"I am not happy with this company at all. It took them two weeks to ship my order after calling them about 7 times and almost everyday. And because they shipped it to the wrong address, I had to drive one hour to the near city to pick up the package myself. And it was two days late of due delivery date. And when I opened the package, the Case Fan that I ordered, was not there and I had to call them and they shipped it to me. It took them two weeks to give me tracking number. I don't trust them any more and won't buy from them any more.

"Great E-Company, Spent $665 on what then was top of the line: P4 2.4 400mhz fsb, asus p4s533, 512 ddr 2700 333mhz ram, cpu cooler, shipping was cheap only $15, great prices (again back then)...the prices drop so fast now you can get everything here for under 400 now!!! so shop around. Everything came fine. The only thing I was mad about was on the site it didn't tell the FSB of the processor. I assumed it was 533mhz, but I was wrong...only 400mhz. If I would have known that I would have purchased the p4 2.53 which does have the 533fsb,... I need fast fast fast stuff. Other than that company. Will def. buy again. I recommend to everyone!

"On July 27, 2002, I placed an internet order for 2 sticks of 512MB PC 133 sticks. With the benefit of hindsight, I was dumb and did not have it insured.

You can see where this is going. On July 27, I received an email saying my order was received. On July 31 I received an email saying that my order was shipped, and that I should receive it in 7-10 days.

Two weeks later, I sent an email saying I haven't received anything and requested some assistance from them. No Response.

As of today, (Aug 21)I still haven't received my memory or a response to my emails.

I know USPS in not without fault, but I can't imagine the one product I order without insurance happens to be the USPS lost. I am a lawyer, and we mail important documents all the time, and they never get lost in the mail.

It wouldn't shock me if someone at PC Boost is hijacking some of the "unisured and nontrackable" deliveries. I hope I am wrong, and if so , I will post here what happens. BUT MY ADVICE IS TAKE THE INSURED OPTION B/C I DON'T BELIEVE THIS COMPANY IS TRUSTWORTHY OTHERWISE

"I ordered 512mb of PC133 generic RAM. It came in working condition in reasonalbe time. The company was very easy to order from and easy to deal with. The only problem I had was that the shipping seemed a bit sluggish it took 8 days to get my product compared to neweggs 3. That and the way they packaged my RAM was just in a small antistatic bag in a bubble envelope. Seems like it could have still goten broke easily. Besides from that, I got my product, and I got it at a good price."

"I purchased an AMD XP1800+ combo. I recieved the correct Motherboard but the Chip was a 1700+ it was a good thing I looked before I opened the package. On the invoice it has an 1800+ listed and double checked by a supervisor. I will have to wait 10-14 business days to get my part back that they made the mistake on. To me they should have overnighted me the part that was supposed to be shipped in the first place and I would send them the wrong part back to them. I will not order from them again since I did notice they had false advertisement on Pricewatch.com too."

"So far I have only ordered from PC Boost once but I am very pleased with their service. I ordered a motherboard/cpu combo and a stick of ram. I paid for 2 day express delivery and it took exactly 2 days for my parts to arrive. The parts were packed very well and they were exactly what I had ordered. The only complaint I could have is that they wasted a day of delivery time because by not reading the instructions in the extra comments section they provided on their order form. They emailed me about the problem and I called them the next day and they straightened it right out. The girl on the phone was very friendly as well.

After a very disappointing experience with Accubyte I would highly recommend PCBoost to anyone wary of Pricewatch companies. I will do business with them again.

"I ordered a stick of Standard Grade-Major Brand PC133 512 MB RAM on Saturday. It didn't ship until next Wednesday. I got the RAM last night and it was shipped in a padded envelope. To cut it short, the RAM didn't work and WinXP crashed right after bootup. Moving the RAM to different DIMM slots didn't help either. Obviously, the RAM is not compatible with my system. I have a Asus A7V, KT133 chipset. FYI, ASUS is a reputable MAJOR brand. I was quite disappointed and had to mail the RAM back for a refund. At the end, I lose the 15% restocking fee and the postage for returning the RAM. PCboost should have better inform their customers which MOBO and chipsets their RAMS should work on. This is the first time where I buy something online that doesn't work. I would not buy from PCboost again."

"Ordered a Anthlon xp2100+, was promptly recieved.
I had ordered a new MB at the same time so when the item was recieved and the system was tested it would not start.

I called them at PCBoost told them of the situation, that I needed to have this item returned and tested to determin wheather the proccesor or motherboard were at fault.
Followed there RMA instructions and I soon had the proccessor back that they determined was good!

Good dealings with this business.
Had an odd ocurance where Dirrect X is reading my CPU model as an XP1500, but with raw values of an XP2100+, Updated my MB bios (which helped in many ways!) DX8 is now reading my CPU as an XP2100+.

"This is the 3rd time buying from seller. This time I am NOT Happy with my buying experience, like the last two. I had no problems before this order.

Cost: First off, their prices jump over $30 in the same day. Shipping was practically nothing, which if you think about it.. 1st two times I order shipping was ~$10 which is high on memory, this time it was free + insurance cost. They adjusted the prices to make shipping look free.

SHIPPING: Previous times I ordered if I order at the start of one week I would get it the start of the next. NOT any more. It took them over a week just to process my order. Then they shipped it. According to fedex it will be another week an a half to get here. Doing the math on that it now takes them almost A MONTH to ship an item, so if you want the product right away forget this company.

Customer service: I contacted them two times about an order and it took two weeks to contact me back. I got three emails and two of them were NOT POLITE. I would atleast expect a dealer, that gets my repeative business and my help(found a few problems in the memory selector) to atleast treat me with respect.

"I ordered 3 sticks of memory and 2 CPUs from this company. First I ordered the memory, and then a few minutes later realized that their price on CPUs were good too so I placed another order for the CPUs. I immediately wrote to the (like, within 5 minutes, and this was at about 9 pm) asking to have my two orders collapsed into one order to save on shipping (whatever box was to include the CPUs could certainly hold some memory sticks as well). I didn't receive any reply until a day later when they wrote to tell me that they could not consolidate the orders as they were already processed. It didn't seem to me like it would be that hard to collapse the orders - they were two consecutive order numbers, so it would seem to me that whoever is filling them ought to be able to notice that they were going to the same person and at least make an attempt at collapsing them. But whatever, it was my fault for not ordering the memory and CPUs as part of the same order, so I don't really blame them for that. They just missed out on an opportunity to impress with their customer service.

I had been ordering lots of parts from several different resellers on that day and the previous day and PCBoost's performance was the worst of all of the resellers. There was the aforementioned inability to collapse my orders, which I am not really going to hold against them. But aside from that, they were not very friendly or helpful in the emails the sent me in response to that problem, or in the questions that I asked about shipping dates. I was on a tight schedule and PCBoost wasn't able to give me tracking numbers for my orders nearly as quickly as other resellers. It took PCBoost several days to get a tracking number to me for the memory order, and several days longer to get the tracking number for the CPU order. All other resellers I had dealt with had gotten tracking numbers to me on the same day as my order, or the day after.

In the end, my memory came on time, and the CPUs technically also came on time, although several days later than any of my other orders. It was not shipped UPS ground as I had paid for, but instead Fedex.

The conclusion that I must come to is that PCBoost will take your order when the item that they are selling is not in stock. They must then acquire the item before they can send it to you, which can take days. Then they send it out to you via UPS Ground (if they got the part that you ordered early enough) or Fedex (if it took longer than they thought and so has to be sent via a faster shipping method to get to you in time). Either way they make money on the shipping as they charge fairly standard inflated shipping rates.

That is just my theory of how they operate based on my experience with my two orders.

So in the end, my orders were completed as promised and were delivered on time (although not as quickly as other resellers), so I can't complain about PCBoost's service. And their prices were the best that I could find on the memory and CPUs that I was ordering. However, all of the issues that I have mentioned have meant that PCBoost doesn't shine nearly as brightly as other resellers who give their customers much more confidence in the fidelity of their ordering process.

I would say that if you are willing to deal with some shakiness in the delivery process, and want the very best price, then PCBoost may be a good reseller choice. But if you are at all nervous about the ordering process, or are on a schedule, then you might want to order from a reseller who will make you feel more confident about the ordering process.

"I got a little worried reading the last several posts but have to say that I am more then pleased with my Service. Ordered a motherboard, CPU, RAM, Harddrive and video card. I recieved the order within 5 days and everything is perfect. The shipping was the the part that got to this site. Most by the time I added all the stuff that I ordered was about $70 for shipping. How much more is it to throw in a stick or RAM into the box that has the motherboard, Harddrive etc, but at other places the shipping went up $10 to $15. Not here! I installed the system yesterday and all I can say is WOW!! It ROCKS. I just wish they had an email address on there site to let them know personally how happy I am."

"I dont know whats going on with this company but they have gone down hill, fast lately. I haved used PC boost for about 5 years now and they used to be great now they suck. I ordered 2 1400 T-Bird
cpus and a stick of 256 ddr Ram.
I called them today, after eleven days and they said my order would be shipped today. WHAT are these people thinking. I told them if they wanted to play around with someones money they should play around with their own. I have two
high end machines to deliver and these people are shipping my order after eleven days. Morons.
This has happened twice to me in the last 6 months and I WILL NEVER
order from them again. Buyer beware.
