"I ordered my item over a month ago. It was charged to my debit card the next day. I have not received a shipping notification or the product. Cannot get anyone to answer the phone or return a phone call. Do not use this company!!!"

Never shipped

"Don't know why this business exists at all. When I emailed about a late delivery, they said it would be here in the next day or two. A week later and no item. Asked for tracking number or cancellation, they cancelled the order and promised refund. Of course I am safe with a credit card order but not a trustworthy site.

Mad at myself for not checking here first and wasting two weeks to get the item

"This company is severely unorganized. I made an order on a Thursday, and recieved my order confirmation that day. Waited until the following Wednesday and called because I had recieved no shipping information. They still had not sent out my package and was assured I would have it by that coming Friday or Saturday. Recieved no package and when I called on Monday I was told that they realized that they did not infant have that in stock any longer and that I would be given a refund that would take 3-5 business days. It's been a week and I called and they still had not processed my refund. This business is a joke. Horrible customer service. "

"I made an order on-line, received a confirmation. Was charged, a day later someone from the store(Named John) sent me an e-mail stating one item was no longer in stock. He also stated they would contact there supplier to have one shipped to me as soon as they could. Now going on one month nothing has arrived. been going back and forth via e-mail. been told things like "I'll check and let you know later today" with no follow up. worse customer service I have ever gotten. still not resolved. I plan on calling BBB on them and making a complaint. and demanding my money back plus any addition cost to get the items from someone else"

"I purchased a boat cover, paid through Paypal, received an order confirmation and was charged the full amount. 3 weeks later no delivery confirmation or communication from PBS Boat Store. Tried contacting by phone and email with no response. Opened case/claim with Paypal and within 30 minutes my order was canceled and my money refunded. I'm sorry to say the service was unsatisfactory but I did get my money back. "

"I ordered everything one day and got it the next. I called to add to the order and they couldn't do it, because it already shipped. Worked for me. They answered when I called, the lady was super nice. I sent a quick email to apologize and they got right back to me. Then I ordered more the following night and it was here without 48 hours. "Unmet promises...I placed a phone order on Monday April 21 due to difficulty with the shipping charges online. I purchased 6 gallons of resin, 2 quarts of hardener, and 20 ounces of wax. Adding the 6th can of resin to my cart online increased shipping from $60 to $90. When I called, he promptly told me he could ship it for $40(something to keep in mind if you do order from them, call and shipping may be cheaper). My decision to purchase from PBS Boat Store was due simply to cheaper prices. My total charge including shipping was only $312.56, which was about $50 cheaper than my local shop. Prior to ordering, I confirmed when it would be delivered and was told since it was before 1PM, that it would ship that day and I would have it by Wednesday or Thursday. This was very important as I was paying extra money($150) to have other stuff delivered Saturday April 26 and needed my order from PBS to make the extra charge worthwhile. My credit card was promptly charged on April 21. Having not received the order by 2:50PM on April 25, I called and was told it would ship right away. What? Excuse me? I was promised it by Wednesday or Thursday. Michelle was the one on the line. She became defensive(bordering rude) and said I would have to talk to the owner and he would call me back in 10-15 minutes when he got to the store. 50 minutes later, no call so I called back and was told that the owner was on the phone and she was busy with a customer in the store. She placed me on hold to wait. About 10 minutes later, the owner(I recognized the voice as the one who took my order) answered and said they dropped the ball and would ship it out right away and that I may have it by Tuesday. He said his packer couldn't locate one of my items, so the order just got left. He did apologize, but laughed at me when I asked him who would reimburse me for the extra money I paid to have everything delivered by the weekend. I could have ordered from my local shop before 1PM and would have received my items the next day. Of course with it being after 1PM, even my local shop wouldn't get the items until Monday or Tuesday. I elected to proceed with the order from PBS, but I'm not confident I will receive it at this point. I will not do business with them again. Hindsight, I probably should have canceled and just paid the extra to buy local."

"One of my worst online buying experiences ever. Ordered two oil bath hub assemblies; instead they sent me grease hubs. Packing slip showed both part numbers with no quantity listed for the ones I wanted, so it appeared to be an intentional substitution. E-mailed customer service and got no response. Called them and spoke to "Joel". He was very nice and apologetic, said they'd ship the correct ones out the next day and send a return tag for the wrong ones. The only problem is that it's now two weeks later and neither thing has actually happened. At this point I'll probably just use the grease hubs so I can get my boat back in the water.
Edit, 9/3/13: Roughly a month after I posted this review, PBS Boat Store did contact me and attempt to make things right. Based on that, I would no longer rule them out for future purchases but I would be leery.

"Buyer beware. I Purchased a tent online from pbs boat store and after three days became concerned because there was no email sent to confirm they had received my order. Later that day I found that my credit card had been charged the full amount of my purchase so I called PBS boat store and was advised that the tent I ordered was on back order and they didn't know when it would be in stock. Maybe I have high expectations but I've never done business with a company online that doesn't send an conformation email letting me know they have received my order and that the Item is on back order or at least a receipt showing me that my credit card had been charged. All the internet stores i've done business with would not have charged my credit card on tell the Item was in stock. I have canceled my order with PBS boat store, but still haven't received the refund on my credit card although I have received a cancelation email. I hope the company can resolve this Issue."
