Shipped used junk

"Ordered a new stereo for the boat. When it arrived it was used and water damaged. The wiring harness was cut and in horrible shape. I called customer service and asked to have a replacement overnighted. I was informed because we paid via PayPal we had to wait 2 to 3 days for a return shipper (it takes 2 days to make a return label?) Then wait for them to receive the return before they ship a new radio out. So i get to wait an extra week for the product ordered. "

Zero Stars: Do NOT Buy From These People

"It is truly too bad you cannot give them no stars, that is what they deserve. Absolute debacle trying to buy three new seats for my boat. Have since cancelled the order since they are on a manufacturer back order. Now fighting to get my money back, next call is to American Express.

Their customer service department is not good, and communication between departments is horrible. Web page to update you on anything is non-existent.

"Still waiting for my item to ship. I was told it was in stock. 20 days later I was told maybe in 2 weeks. I would have never ordered from this company if I knew this. Hope to receive the item this summer."

No email confirmation, so far 10 days past estimated date.

"I ordered a boat cover and was givin an estimated delivery date of June 3rd. I still haven't recieved my email order confirmation or any tracking number. I've called multiple times and they always have to wait so many business days. Still waiting on their response to find out what's going on since they have another distributor they have to contact. I would recommend buying from anywhere but here. I ordered the boat cover may 28th. I would pay more somewhere else for customer service next time."

Great Customer Service & Price !

"So I see a lot of negative reviews. My experience was just the opposite. Got great customer service over the phone and immediate answers and follow up to my questions. Tent arrived one day earlier then expected Not to mention of big discount code much better price then Amazon. Based on my first experience if they have another product I need to for my high trekking I will be giving them an order."

Where's my order!

"Order 2 hats and got a confirmation email stating it was ordered and I would get an update email when they shipped. I got 1 email for the one hat. They shipped it a week ago and still havent seen and the tracking # they gave doesnt show anything. So I called to ask about the other hat, the customer service person seemed confused and couldn't give an answer, he was thinking they were on back order but couldn't tell me. He would have to check with his warehouse I've now waited 3 days and still no answer back, I emailed them today and still nothing. How does a company not know what is going on with an order? When I ordered the hat there was nothing saying it was on back order. This company is a joke, with I would have looked up reviews first. STAY AWAY"

beware of overton's warranty policy, require you to paid postal on defective product

"Covermate 300 Trailerable Boat Cover for 16'-18'6" Fish and Ski, Pro Bass Boat price $100.00
I put this on my boat within 20 mile the cover was already ripped. and at 100 mile it because worthless as a cover it needed to come off beause it was flapping in the air damaging the seats on the boat. It come with a 3 year warranty but big deal, Overton's returns your purchase price but you mail the product back to them first which cost you $19.00. so the warranty is not so good after all. I will not purchase anything again from Overton's because of this issue of me paying to return the product at my own expense

Don't deal with a company like this that will not stand behind there products.
Here is what the company emailed me.

Thank you for your recent email. My name is Erika and I am happy to assist you today. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. This item # 321066,Covermate 300 Trailerable Boat Cover for 16-186 Fish and Ski Pro Bass Boat, is covered under a three year warranty. This cover can only be returned for a refund. If a new cover is wanted, a new order must be placed.
You are responsible for the return shipping cost, however, you can use any carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx) of your choice, just be sure to obtain a tracking reference for your records.

Great it only cost me $19.00 to give them back a worthless item. Never again will I purchase from Overton's

I'm glad I didn't let the bad reviews sway me...

"I was hesitant to proceed with my purchase because of the exaggerated negative reviews not just here on resellerratings but on another review site. But I needed a specific dock ladder and Overtons had it available at a fair price. All other boat supplies stores were selling it at 20% more than the published rates. So even though I was worried I went ahead and placed the order. I think more and more disgruntled buyers write reviews and the ones who do have good buying experiences are too content and happy that they forego the review process. It's unfair to sellers and consumers alike and it really doesn't help other buyers in making the right decision. I would be remiss if I didn't share how positive my transaction went through. I placed my order on Thursday Sept. 27 and it arrived Saturday Sept. 29 with FREE SHIPPING. The packaging was perfect. The aluminum ladder was high quality. All in all a fantastic buy. I will buy from them again. Don't be too quick to dismiss this store - give them a chance. Thank you Overtons.com for a pleasant hassle free transaction!"

Terrible customer service

"deceiptful return policy. Hidden in the fine print is the return exceptions. No where is there any indication in the purchasing procedure that certain items are non-refundable. This is clearly a way to deceive customers."

Still waiting on my refund

"I returned an item almost a month ago and they are "three weeks behind on returns" which mind you, they boast about their easy return process on their website. A. you pay for it yourself B. My guess is if I didn't keep hassling them, I would never get my refund (which I AM still waiting for)
Their customer service is pathetic and takes days to respond and their responses are just that they are behind on returns.
I'd like MY MONEY BACK.
