"Don't buy from these people, they outright lied to me.!! I needed some parts for my snow thrower, (I live in N.Y state and really needed these parts), did a Google search, and they showed up with the cheapest price. I called first, and asked if they had my parts in stock they said they did and would ship them right out, and since their shipping is supposed to be 3 -5 day shipping, I ordered them, on a Monday, expecting them Thurs. - Sat. I didn't even get a tracking until Sat., and that was a just a notification tracking number. I checked the tracking number all next week and it kept saying the post office had been notified to expect a shipment , but it never moved.
it was another week before I finally received the parts.
I believe they charged my card and then ordered the parts from somewhere else! Beware of these people!!

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE ! I placed my order for 2 items on Nov. 13th and the next day I received an email stating that one of the items was on backorder and I could expect to receive it in10-15 days. It is now about five weeks later and I'm still waiting for the second item. Whenever I called, they were unable to tell me when I could expect to receive the item. When I finally wanted to cancel the order for the second item and receive a refund they gave me a very hard time about refunding any shipping amount. When the parts department person got arrogant with me I asked for a supervisor and he was not any better. They did not want to listen to what I had to say and insisted that they were totally in the right and I was trying to take advantage. Since the cable they sent me was small and only weighed a few ounces I, wanted them to refund about 2/3 of the shipping price that I paid for the original order of two items. The item that they never shipped was 40 inches long and much heavier, so that would be the expensive part to ship. They did not agree with me when I stated that their website should properly disclose when an item is not currently in stock. I will never deal with these incompetent and arrogant people again. "

"I placed an order for a replacement hood and associated decals, for a 10 year old lawn tractor on November 4. The order arrived just 2 days later on November 6, half way across the country. Everything was there, just as ordered. Would certainly recommend this dealer to everyone.

"Needing parts for my garden tractors, I discovered OutdoorDistributors.com as a possible source.

Their prices are sharp/highly competitive and they have some parts that were not available on their competitor websites.

However, I noted some negative comments on this and other websites that were dated during the initial stages of the recession (2008-2010). Like many suppliers, I assumed that, maybe, this company had some financial problems during that period.

Since I was ordering with a credit card, I figured that if my order didn't arrive or was screwed up, I was protected by the credit card's purchase agreement. I needed the parts...I placed my order.

When my order was received, I found that one of the items was different from what was advertised.

After making a phone call to Paige, the customer service manager, and Bryan, the general manager, it was determined that
OutdoorDistributors.com, not the manufacturer, was responsible for the incorrect product description. To to their credit, the mistake was fully corrected to my satisfaction (you really find out what "customer service" means to a company, when you are having a problem/question on the product or service being provided).

OutdoorDistributors passed this "test" with honors and I will be ordering from them again.

NOTE: This "rating" was not solicited in any way. I, simply, believe that the "good" should be told as well as the "bad".

"Ordered 11 items for pre 1965 Briggs & Stratton engine on Mar 17 - all items received on Mar 24 - GA to WA. These people also had operating and parts manual for the engine.
I don't usually post to websites like this, but all the negatives concern me.
I DID check Resellerratings before placing order and was concerned - but OD was only website I could find with the parts I needed.
I also found out my local small engine repair shop uses Outdoor Distributors ....

"Do not use this compnay.
On August 11th, 2009, I ordered a part for a Yardman mower to ship to Japan. Their homepage said the part was available and allows you to select Japan as a destination for parts. I placed the order. About a week later I got an email saying "Sorry, we don't ship to Japan." At the end of the month, I found that my card had been debited as soon as I placed the order. I mailed 6 times without response. I only got a refund 10 weeks later and only after involving Better Business Bureau. I am sure they would have continued to ignore my emails otherwise.

"I ordered 4 items from Outdoor Distributors website on Aug 21-09. Got the standard confirmation email of order and stating all items back ordered. Credit card charged ~$85 for one item. I tried to call them Sept 7 to check status, just busy signal all day. Sent email Sept 8 inquiring about order and what was wrong with their phone lines. Stephanie replied to my email on Sept 16 and said to allow a couple more days. Finally got someone on phone Oct 13, said would be another week, inquired as to why my CC was charged, she said standard practice as noted on their web site - couldnt find it. Ordered items from Amazon.com-mowtown on Nov 3-09 rec'd them Nov 9-09. Cancelled OD order by email on Nov-3-09. Just rec'd Nov CC statement, OD charged for rest of my order on Oct 14-09. Going to call my CC company in AM (Nov 16) and try to do a chargeback or at least file a complaint. Will never do business with OD again! I suggest no one else do business with them either.

"I placed a small order on 9/6/09. Like other reviwers, I noted that Outdoor Distributors'(OD) web page said they were "swamped" but that most orders were going out on time. I place the order anyway. The e-mail confirmation I received told me not to call about the order for 7 business days as it would delay the order.
On 9/14/09, my credit card was charged for the order.
On 9/16/09, I sent an e-mail to OD asking for the status of my order. I received no response.
On 9/23/09, I called OD's toll-free number and, after being placed on hold three times, finally was connected to someone who told me that one of the items I had ordered was backordered and would take "at least another week to come in".
I requested that the order be cancelled and my credit card be credited back for the amount of the order. After yet another short hold, I was told that the order had been cancelled and that my card would be credited.
I had been on the phone for about 22 minutes.

"USELESS!!! AVOID!!! Waited more than a month for three parts. Called several times and were told parts were on backorder with no indication of ship date. Usually had to wait 20 minutes on hold. Eventually canceled the order (and they could care less). Then ordered same parts from mowtownusa.com and received them 3 days later."

"I placed a phone order in for a MTD chipper bag, the person stated it was in stock and it would take 3-5 days to ship, if I shipped priority mail. I paid extra for PM shipping...waited a week no bag. Called waited 10 mins on hold for a mgr, and then I was told it takes 3-5 days to process the order and then 3-5 days to ship. I asked if they physically had any inventory on hand or their own warehouse and she stated NO. They order from regional warehouse . Going to cancel the order today. Don't get baited in by a low price like I did. Service is horrible."

"I have previously ordered from this company with no problems.
I placed an order 8-14-09 and received via e-mail an order confirmation. On 8-26-09 (8 working days later) no shipping notice received. I called them to find out the status as their site says not to call for 7 days. I was told that they were awaiting parts from the manufacture. I asked when parts expected and was told by the end of week or Monday, 8-31-09.
On 9-2-09 no email notification of status or parts received. I phoned them and was told that parts still not received from manufacture.
I cancelled order, as other sites indicated parts were in stock.I was informed that it would be 5-6 days for my credit card to be credited.

"I ordered several parts from outdoordistributors.com because their prices would save me about $12 dealer direct. They stated on their Web site and in the order confirmation e-mail that they usually ship within 3 business days and that parts should arrive within 7 working days. Charges posted to my credit card on day two indicating that my order had shipped. After 10 business days I had still not received my parts. When I called and waited on hold for 10 minutes they told me that they were really busy and hadn't had a chance to ship my order and that it would probably go out next week. I told them to cancel my order because it would be another 7 working days before they arrive. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - THE SAVINGS IS NOT WORTH THE WAIT."

"I had placed this order without realizing that this store had been reviewed here at RR as it did not come up using the autocomplete feature when searching for a store.

I placed the order on 05/02/2009 and when I received the confirmation information, it states that you should not contact them to check on your order for 7 working days as it will otherwise SLOW down your order. There is also no way to check on your order status via the website.

I decided to wait the seven days and then called to check since I had not received anything. After sitting on hold for 20 minutes (I was asked to hold when I first called and 15 minutes later was told that I was next in the queue), I was told that they are waiting for my parts to be received.

When I asked why my credit card was already charged, it was explained that happens as soon as the order goes through the computer. I asked why I hadn't received any info that my parts were currently on backorder and was told that they are not. It was explained to me that they have 40 different warehouses across the country and were waiting for the parts to come in from there. The parts are then shipped from their central location. She did not know when they would get them, but told me it usually takes about 10 days for them to receive the parts.

When I asked why I never received any information about the delay on my order I was told that it was because I ordered via the internet and did not talk to a person. I've told them to cancel my order, which they said they would do, but that it would take about 4 days for the charge to be credited back.

As an added note, on Thursday May 7th, I sent an e-mail to their info e-mail address asking in general as to if I would receive any tracking or shipping info. I received an e-mail reply that I would receive tracking information once the parts shipped. That e-mail was sent to me on Wednesday May 13th.

This is totally unacceptable. This is actually the worst experience I have had with an internet order.

"I purchased a main pulley for a MTD tractor on 4/22 and no one at the company could be bothered to drop the thing in the mail until 5/1. In fact, They actually state on their website that if you call before your order is shipped, it may even further delay your order. Scratch these guys from your list of reputable parts dealers."
