"Horrible experience!, I ordered a radar detector on July 1st 2010. Order was processed and didn't hear anything till I called on the 11th. They said they didn't have any in, they should have at least told me so i could have order from some where else. They did however say they just got in the next model up that day and could get that out the door. I told them I wasn't interested and to cancel my order. She then asked if there was anything they could do to change my mind. I said give me the better model for no additional cost, since it had been 11 days and they still didn't even have my product in.. 7$ difference. She refused and dismissed me rudely. I don't write reviews often, but this deserved to be said."

"Ordered a Benchmade Vex Tanto Plain Edge, Black Pearl Blade [#059-10751BP], didn't receive any notification of shipment for 3-weeks so I contacted the company. The rep told me it was on backorder due to a US mil shipment (mil doesn't issue folding blades). Another week later, I still haven't received a refund of payment."

"Ordered a scope from this company on a Sunday, and received no update for a few days. On Wednesday I finally called to ask about the status of my order and was assured it would ship that day and that I would receive a tracking number. By Thursday I had received no such number so I called again and got the exact same response. On Friday there was still no tracking so I called and was told it had already shipped and I should receive a tracking number soon. No one answered the phone on Monday, a week after placing my order, so on Tuesday I asked them to cancel my order. I have never seen such a lightning fast response. Seeing as they were so quick to cancel my order and they never even charged my card, I'm assuming they never had it to begin with.

I would strongly advise against this company.

"I ordered a pair of Serengeti 5222 sunglasses from Opticsale.com on Monday, Feb 22, 2010 with UPS Ground shipping. They had the lowest price and shipped the same day. I received them the next day - I'm in the Chicago area so I'm local. I've been wearing Serengeti's for over 20 yrs so I was not surpised by the quality of the 5222's. I am very satisfied with opticsale.com and will probably buy from them the next time I need something they have."

"Be Warned: If You Like Getting Screwed, Order From OpticSale.com.

I ordered from OpticSale.com many months ago, and it took them almost a month to get me the wrong item. I returned it, of course, and have been trying to get a refund ever since. Each time they promise me I will get my refund, and each time I don't get it.

"On the plus side, Opticsale offers the best prices hands down on the sunglasses I tried to order. Their customer service however is absolutely terrible. I called twice last week to ask why my order hadn't shipped. Both times I was assured that it was going to ship that day or the next day. The last time I called I was assured the my order had been located in the warehouse and packaged ready to ship. Next day, my order still shows as processing.

In addition, their website claims they offer customer service 7 days a week but clearly the message when you call indicates customer service is only M-F. That is a fraudulent business claim.

I can only assume that this is an extremely shady company. I had read some great reviews about this reseller but they are clearly amateurs and don't have their act together.

Buyers beware!

Update: After numerous calls to customer service, the item finally shipped. The item was back-ordered but the customer service representatives neglected to inform me of that. Customer service rep kept saying that I should get the item the next day but it still took several days to ship. I have no problems with this but what I do have a problem with is customer service reps not being straight with the customer. If I knew the item was on back-order I would have canceled immediately.

"DO NOT ORDER FROM OPTICSALE.COM. Customer service and follow-through is non-existent. They are either liars or scammers or both. They should receive 0 stars for their service and delivery. TERRIBLE!!!"
