"read some bad reviews here but that doesnt reflect my experience. phoned to ask when it woukld be delivered and left message, had email response that evening saying delivery would be mid week the following week. on the tuesday had phone call saying it would be delivered next day between 9 and 5. arrived next day at 3pm, excellent service and £ 100 cheaper than any where else i had seen it! "

"What an ordeal just to order a fire, telephoned the company on 7th July left a message saying I wanted to place an order for a Dimplex mirrored living art fire priced incidentally at £677.99p. Online fires telephoned me back within 5 minutes order was placed and money taken from my account on 8th July, delivery time according to website 5-7 working days, 7 working days go by and no fire, tried telephoning eventually got through and told fire was out of stock and would be another 2 weeks, I say ok I will wait. Two weeks go by and still no fire so I telephone again and they say they are still out of stock, but they managed to update there website with a new price of £745.00 so they probably had one all along but did not want me to get it for £677.99. So I phoned and left a message on the answering machine for them to ring me, got no reply at all, phoned again and again and eventually got to talk to someone and asked again for a refund on 31st July Saturday Morning, yes no problem was the reply will sort it now and will be back in your account in 2-3 working days, check account daily and nothing appears, telephoned again and could not get through always got the answering machine, so I thought I would telephone using my mobile phone which I had not used to telephone online fires before and yes you have guessed correctly they answered it immediately, so my guess is they know who is calling before they answer, so if you want to get in touch with them I suggest you use a different phone to fool them. Anyway when i got through I told them I had ordered another fire and was actually in possession of the fire when I had telelphoned for a refund on Tuesday 3rd August, so I asked again for a refund which should have been sorted the previous saturday, only this time I recieved an e-mail from online fires actually mentioning the refund and the money appeared back in my account today 5th August almost exactly 1 month from the day I first ordered. If they have millions of pounds of peoples money lying around in their bank account earning them interest for doing absolutely nothing, then they should be jailed.
I eventually purchased my Dimplex Mirrored Living art fire from www.HotPrice.co.uk I phoned them saturday morning they said with it being the weekend they would delay sending the fire until monday as they did not want it sat in a warehouse over the weekend. So I said ok that will be fine, they said it is 24 hour delivery and the fire would be with me on tuesday and it arrived on tuesday as promised, what can I say about perfection and 2 companies as different as chalk and cheese and who managed to sell me the fire for £640 so I managed to save £37.99 on the original price from online fires and a whopping £105 pound on the price they are quoting now.

"BEWARE DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY.AS DETAILED BY OTHER REVIEWS DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT ORDERING ITS A WASTE OF TIME.WAITED THREE WEEKS ONLY TO BE TOLD DISTRIBUTOR WAS OUT OF STOCK.SEARCH FOR A REPUTABLE COMPANY AND TALK TO THEM FIRST.ALWAYS HAD TO LEAVE MESSAGE BUT DID RETURN MY CALLS.THE ONLY E-MAIL WAS TELLING ME NO STOCK AVAILABLE BUT ONLY AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS FROM ME AND THE OFFER TO CANCEL MY ORDER."

"This company is a complete shambles! I can only talk about my own experiance but looking at the reviews already on this site only confirms that the company really is a shambles! Let me explain, 19th Feb 2010 ordered fire online, 3 weeks later fire arrives but box has many holes in so I check fire for damage before I except the fire, I notice what looked like a chip on the inside of the screen(it was a dimplex living art lcd flat screen fire)I refused delivery an sent it back with the courriers. I got in contact with ONLINE FIRES to let them know it was on it's way back. I was told on the phone that I would be sent another straight away. 3 weeks go by no fire. I constantly tryed to phone but couldn't get through(I had no problem getting to speak to someone when I was calling to buy a fire). Finally through email I get in touch, they say courriers haven't delivered faulty fire back to ONLINE FIRES yet. Courriers say they have delivered faulty fire back (only noone signed for it).At this point I had had enough of being messed about so I demanded a total refund which they agreed to do. 5 working day's later(the maximum time it takes for the money to get back into bank account) I check my account, no refund! Starting to panic about getting my money back I write them an email saying that if they didn't return my money that day then I would be taking further action, 3 days later, money is refunded back into my account, phew! I am extreemly relieved to have my money back after a stressful 2 months. Now to find a decent company who can follow through on their promise of quality product and delivery schedules! "

"Quite simply put, the service is dreadful.
Email response is nil. Telephone contact is the same but you do get to a very pleasant sounding answering message telling you that they are too busy to answer.
I ordered (Online) a fire & chimney on Dec 27th 2009. The money was taken from my credit card on 4th Jan. I received the fire 6 weeks later and it arrived faulty. I still haven't received the chimney nor any explanation why.
I haven't had a refund on the undelivered good and it is impossible to make direct contact with this trader.
I recommend spending an extra £10 and buy elsewhere. The saving isn't worth the hassle.

"This company will NOT communicate with you as to what is happening with your delivery - if you ever get it! (According to website most take '5 working days', two weeks maximum...) Furthermore money is taken immediately. Read on:-

Ordered our fire 9th April. £233 taken immediately. Nobody had the courtesy to tell us it was out of stock.

My partner called on 23rd April to be told it was on a boat from China.

Finally on Friday 8th May we received an email from Google Checkout to say it had been dispatched. Thursday 14th May came & no sign of fire.

Had to call Online fires again. Looks like fire has been stolen from courier. OK. These things happen. Told will be re-ordered on Monday 18th May - to allow time for insurance claim. Will arrive on Thursday 21st. Courier will call us to advise us when he/she is on their way. No sign of fire.

Called Online fires after 5 p.m. Told can't help because it's coming directly from distributor and they'll call us in morning.

Friday 22nd May - advised will arrive Wednesday 27th May.

Wednesday came & went. No fire.

Cancelled order. I suspect no fire dispatched second time despite being given 2 new dates and surely if it were in transit cancelling the order wouldn't be an option?

Using this unreliable company just isn't worth the stress. We're thankfull that no annual leave was lost sat waiting for the delivery!
