"Beware: minutes you purchase on your account are good ONLY for 6 months unless you add more to your account before the end of that 6 month period.

That means if you put $100 on your account and don't use it all during that six months, you lose that money unless you add more money during that same six months.

In Washington State that's against the law and I'll be notifying our Attorney General.

"I’ve been a Onesuite user for only a couple of months now and been using it almost everyday to make long distance calls. The other day I run out of credits and can’t seem to find my credit card (later on my 3 year old son admitted that he took it) to recharge and put more money to my Onesuite account. I went ahead and called Onesuite customer service to inquire if they have my credit card on file, unfortunately the guy said they don’t store customers credit card numbers. Then the guy said theres another account (unused) under my name with $20 in it. After some verification, I got my PIN for that account and was able to make that important long distance call. It turns out that the lost account was the other account I tried to sign up the first time and thought it didn’t go through. I just don’t know how I was able not to see that on my credit card statement but nonetheless thanks for the good customer service and I was able to make that important call not to mention got my $20 back."

"When the AT&T/Sam's Club long distance decided to charge about 4 times their previous rate, or OneSuite's current rate, for in-state calls, it became a no-brainer! Either use a payphone and quarters, or OneSuite conveniently from home or any normal outside line. AT&T was a ripoff, and OneSuite is the saviour.

It is the Phillipines for off-hours assistance. They are quite fun to talk to. When the local numbers are busy/down, then you need to use the FREE (800) number, or any of the other nearby local numbers. Be sure to get all those numbers written down, or go to the web. That's all the backup you need, all that wild "hacker-conspiracy" libelous speculation from almost 3 YEARS AGO!

There is one concern - you need to buy just enough time that you will use in 6 months or less, as the minutes won't transfer past that 6-month deadline. Of course, if you will be using more time, you can buy more time before those 6 months are up, and revitalize your deadline. So, pay attention! $.029 for domestic calls! Yay! Ah, the line is sometimes busy, so I need to use alternate access numbers. Big deal.

"This company promises low rates, but the rate advertised was not the rate they charged me. They insisted that I was paying more because I was calling a cell phone. I provided ample evidence that their system is wrong, including links to agencies that show how phone numbers are allocated internationally. They refused to adjust my charges to the amount that I had agreed to pay. Their system is still wrong. There are better services for less money. "

"now Onesuite is disconnecting their own local access numbers, continuing to list it as a good number, even after spending 10 minutes on hold to alert customer "service"

looks like this long-distance provider is going down the drain, time to bail, pity, had been a long time user and generally happy with service.

***EDIT**In December 2005 was unable to phone Hawaii for several days, customer service alerted, useless as usual, unable to offer any assistance, work-around, etc. Will use up my time and move on.This company is now the pits...stay away.

"I have been a OneSuite customer for about 6 months, for a mix of LD calls within the US and to China and Japan. Line quality is often poor, but their prices are very good. Unfortunately, their reliability that dropped through the floor. One feature I had found very helpful was their dedicated fax & voicemail line for $1/mo called MessageOne. It was great. So great that I printed the fax # on my business cards. 2 weeks ago all of their systems went down. They didn’t send e-mail or explain why. The system was down for over a week with no explanation of why calls couldn’t be made, couldn’t log into the web site, the fax # was down, etc. Now, 2 weeks later, they have “fixed” my fax line so that it receives faxes and sends them into a black hole. If great prices are more important than poor connections and unreliable service, OneSuite is OK. Avoid OneSuite if you need a reliable LD carrier or fax/voicemail provider."

"I *was* a loyal user of OneSuite for our company's long distance service, that is, until last week when apparently their "server crashed". This was the message given to me in broken English by some offshore customer service rep in the Philippines, Mexico, or who knows where. She said the service would be back online in a few hours.

It is now 8 days later.

Apparently this server crash was a lot more than a computer being turned off. It appears that they have lost all of their customer records. Perhaps their systems were compromised by a hacker, some idiot messed with the wrong "delete all button", or they used cheap hardware. Whatever the case may be, we have no service despite hefty up front charges to our credit card.

The first sign of this problem was when we couldn't make any calls using any access number. We were told to call customer service, after which I was informed of the above details. Then when I tried to log on, I got some bogus message apologizing for the temporary inconvenience. Only after the entire weekend did someone make a lame attempt to fess up and post a general message on their website. Mind you, this message was never on the home page and they must have been glad to sign up more customers to a non-existent service while this was going on.

Earlier this week, they posted a form to recover your accounts. Our passwords had been lost forever. Even after putting in our pin code and company information, they could not re-activate our account. I contacted customer support and they replied with a link where we could recover our account for real. So apparently this first form was a non-functional decoy to buy more time. And buy more time they did, since the new recovery form would only be available starting the next day.

Finally I get to this new form, and they ask for a million details we cannot possibly know without logging back into our account which we can’t do since they destroyed our records. UN-BELIEVABLE!!!!

"Have been using it for more than one year. From time to time the service became unavailable. When you want to make some important international calls, it can become very critical. And about 5 days ago, the service became totally unavailable. You can not make phone call, can not log in to their website. So I lost all my important international phone number stored there. Today they said that their website has been fully recovered. But then found my account on their website dissappeared. Tried to contact their customer service and got same experience as last reviewer did. Be held on for more than an hour and be cut off finally. Gonna dispute my recent charge of 50$ with CC. Terrible business. Never gonna touch it again."

"I have been using the OneSuite.com long distance phone service for several years now and have been EXTREMELY satisfied with their amazing low price for long distance service and terrific connection quality. They only charge 2.9 cents/min with NO connection fee for any long distance call to anywhere in the United States when you use their toll-free access line and just 2.5 cents/min if you dial one of their local access numbers, which are available in most major US cities. (Both in-state and state-to-state calls are charged at the same rate.) Calls to Canada from within the US are only 3.2¢ a minute or 1.9¢ if you use a local access #, and while I cannot personally attest to this, their prices for calls to other counties appear to be quite reasonable (well, as long as you don’t need to call somebody on an Inmarisat satellite phone, which costs up to a whopping $11 a minute!!) All calls are calculated in per-minute increments and they have great online account management features that allow you to view your detailed call history and remaining balance, setup sub-accounts, and recharge your account.

The only somewhat minor negative issues that you should be aware of is that calls from a pay phone incur a 55¢ surcharge fee, which is apparently due to an FCC rule that allows the pay phone operators to charge telecom companies like OneSuite for the use of their equipment. Secondly, the only way to fund an account is with a Visa or MasterCard credit card or an ATM/debit card with a Visa or MasterCard logo it. Finally, your account will be deactivated if you do not add more funds within 6 months after your last recharge, but because they allow for account funding increments as low as $10, even infrequent long distance users should be able to keep their accounts active with very little effort.

Regarding the quality of their connections, overall I haven’t experienced any notable problems, though once in a great while I get a staticy connection and have to redial the access #, but I usually get a clear line on my second attempt. Even with these slight caveats, I highly recommend the OneSuite.com service and have been consistently impressed with how much money they have saved me on my long distance bills.
