"i charged this to amex. then they left vm saying i needed to call before they could process the order. tried hard to sell me the extra warranty. kept saying no.

then they told me that they had to ship with 'shipping insurance' that was an extra $50 or so. i said that if they had to do that then to cancel my order. (which they did).

BAIT AND SWITCH.

"Similar to many of the reviews here, OneStopLCD.com appears to engage in price switching as a matter of course. I ordered a Sharp LCD and chose free shipping. David left a message at my home 2 days later, but didn't say why he was calling. When I called back I got a different customer service person, and he couldn't determine the reason for the message, and told me to ignore it. Later that Day I received an updated order with an additional $60 charge for shipping insurance. I called back the next day and got yet another person and was told that the order already shipped and that I had agreed to the insurance. When I told them I wanted to cancel the order they told me they couldn't without charging me 7% of the order price because the order had already shipped. The TV may be fine, but the idea of upcharging like this drives me nuts. I'll be filing a complaint with the New York Better Business Bureau."

"Our experience is typical of some of the customer ratings logged on this site.

Ordered the TV online and day or two later we get a call from them "confirming" (upselling) the order. At confirmation we did change shipping to 3-5 days Fed Ex and as you might imagine, the TV still hasn't showed up. After calling and speaking with David yesterday to request tracking / order info I found out the set hasn't shipped yet. They evidently didn't have it in stock and it is to drop ship directly from Sharp to our residence. Late in the afternoon, I sent a follow up e-mail requesting the information I had already asked for and stated that I would be cancelling the order if they didn't reply or call. They didn't...

I gave them a day to provide info or fix this issue and we haven't heard back from them still so I called to cancel and got the run around. I also found out they charged the credit card already and the unit still hasn't shipped yet.... 8 days after we placed the order (so much for the 3-5 day Fed Ex shipping). I'm currently awaiting a call from the "manager" before they'll issue a credit on something they don't have in stock and haven't even shipped yet. Now I'm wondering if we'll have to contact the credit card company and dispute the sale.

If you're using this company strictly based on price, do yourself a favor and pay a little more somewhere else. The piece of mind is worth it.

So far, I wanted to send my highest recommendations to you for working with me to sell me a Sharp AQUOS LED tv (46"). I have been nothing but impressed with the high degree of customer service, professionalism, and dedication that I experienced by talking with Jack, one of your sales reps. He was very patient with my questions and helped me get the best deal possible. He worked with me as much as possible to satisfy every request I made of him. He worked with his manager and came back to me promptly to help me buy this tv. I was very impressed with the overall cooperation that I felt among him, the manager, and me. I want to let you know that I am very comfortable with my purchase and can't wait to receive it. My whole family has been looking forward to this new, exciting tv. You guys have a great outfit and I hope that you always succeed!

"Ordered a 46' HGTV and got an email 4 or 5 days later saying that they tried to contact me about the order and for me to call them. Not true. I emailed asking them to explain the issue. No response. After seeing other reviews that explained what they were doing, (trying to get me to call so they could sell me insurance, cables, etc), I emailed and canceled the order. I asked that they confirm the cancellation. Again, no response. So I'll go with a more reputable company and pay a few more bucks. Didn't want to risk it after seeing the bad reviews. Sad way for them to do business."

"Typical scam operation. I ordered an LCD TV at OneStopLCD.com. When I call four days after getting a confirmation email and seeing no activity, customer service representatives tried to cell me additional cables and a shipping insurance. Also, typical for dishonest merchants, they insisted that could not reach me - a bold lie. They canceled the order after I refused to pay more than the initially confirmed price. In addition customer service representatives and their manager demonstrated an obnoxious behavior and contempt. It is possible all of it was just to get my credit card information, which means I would have to monitor the credit card activities from now on."

"I decided to pay a little more for a Sharp LC32LE700UN 32" LED HDTV because of the many positive reviews of this reseller, rather than go to the lowest price. Why deal with the hassle and disappointment?

The next day I received an email with typographical errors requesting "verification" of my order. Great. I have been through the sales pitch before on these "verification" calls. I called, and yes they wanted to sell me extras, plus they wanted me to agree to $50 extra for "insurance" on the shipment. "You know how these shppers are," I was told. No, I don't. I specify UPS when given a choice and never have a problem (FedEx, with their repackaging of damaged goods I have a problem with, but not UPS).

I canceled, and have to give credit that they sent the cancelation notification immediately. It was as if they were waiting for the complaint of a random charge. If a sucker accepts the charge, no problem. If a complaint, they cancel.

"Watch out! I call OneStopLCD asking do they still have Sharp LC52D85UN or not. The answer yes it's in stock. Tow days after I order online, a guy call me says before shipping out they want let me know there is a new version LC52E77UN. After I say keep my order they told me there is no more available. Only good thing is the order is canceled without any charge."

"I ordered a brand new 50" DLP TV from onestoplcd for $1100.

5 weeks later I recieve an obviously used scratched up dusty tv.
When I plug it in it doesnt come on.

3 more weeks go by a repair guy comes out and fixes it and charges ME $400 after onestoplcd said they would pay for it. When we turn it on it has cirucular areas all over that are brighter than the rest of the screen and it is verydim overall picture.

2 more weeks later I get a call from the TV repair guy that he is taking me to court if I dont pay the $400 repair bill.

Onestop has told me a different story all 20 times I have called them.

$1100 and 11 weeks later I have a used crappy tv, $400 bill, and potential law suit.


Finally they picked up the used TV and sent me a brand new LCD tv of equal value. If they pay the $400 or the lawsuit gets dropped then I am happy.

"Bait and Switch! A price was quoted a credit card was offered for a TV set. A week goes by and no notice about shipping so an email follow up was sent. No response for over 24 hours so a follow up was sent. A return email was received advising the order was almost complete but I needed to call for "one more step of verification". The purpose was to sell me an extended warranty. I declined and was advised a 7% charge for insurance would be added, after being quoted "no shipping and no sales tax". These guys are snake oil people."

"BEWARE - This company is misleading and dishonest. They will try to sell you overpriced accessories, which is normal, but then add 7% to your order for the "free" shipping. Even though I had paid the full shipping cart amount, they refused to send my purchase and wouldn't talk about it. Lame. If you do order and then cancel, make sure they haven't charged your credit cart 7% for the priviledge of not doing business with them."
