"I had the same bad experience as others. Ordered a three-disk set of linux to save a few hours downloading.
They acknowledged my order and charged my credit card through paypal. That was two weeks ago. No word on when they will get around to burning the disks or shipping.

I sent an email through their web page a week ago. No response. I sent another email to the public address in their emails on Friday. No response. So far all they have sent is an ad for something called R4W (replacement for windows).

A careful look at their web page raises several red flags. They list no contact phone number. They emphasize they are a small family oriented business..."with the emphasis on family". They point out that they might be behind or off at a conference or otherwise indisposed to actually fulfill orders. They seem to have icons for every linux distribution on the planet, but having that many disk images seems unlikely for a small business. In their "events" section they list events which have nothing to do with their business. They seem to be a random selection of amateur sporting events in cities not close to their mailing address, and the year is not specified.

So my take is that this company is now fraudulent. Apparently they were once legit. Possibly a marginally profitable business was sold to microsoft marketing. As they point out it is so much easier to buy a retail copy of windows.

I am not replacing windows. I did that a decade ago, and I couldn't be happier. I was willing to pay $15 so save a few hours downloading, but this company exists only to discredit free software.

"I ordered a bootable Linux usb from on-disk on 2/10/14. While the company immediately charged my PayPal account, the item was never received and still shows as "pending".

On-Disk has ignored the 2 messages I have submitted via their web site and the matter is now under investigation with PayPal."

I placed an order on May 10 and On-Disk.com debited my card for the full purchase price on May 12. Then nothing happened. For two months.

After On-Disk.com failed to respond to my communications, I disputed their charge with my bank and was issued a full credit. The bank also forced me to replace my card, so On-Disk.com couldn't charge it again.

I have offered to participate in any criminal investigation of On-Disk.com.

DO NOT EVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM HERE!"
