Awful and Deceptive!

"Booked a stay through there and the hotel had not accepted pets in 8 months. When I contacted customer service (both phone and email), it went to Priceline and they had never heard of OfficialPetHotels.com. now I'm stuck trying to find an alternate number."

"I should've known when this site hijacked my BringFido.com search. I didn't notice until I went to book the hotel, but I was in a hurry, so I went with it. THEN, on my way to the hotel the next day, wouldn't you know it I had car problems and couldn't make it. Called to canx and HOPEFULLY get a refund. Nope. Didn't matter that my car was dead and I was 250 miles away. They didn't care. Just re-read me the policy page stating I had to canx MORE than 24 hours in advance!! What a rip off. Go ahead and use them if you must, but I'm going to use BringFido.com exclusively from now on. Personal service, last-minute refunds, decent terms, and real people that answer the phone and treat you like a person. Use OfficialPetHotels.com at your own risk. "

Horrible customer service!!

"During Hurricane Irma I was on hold for 40 minutes to cancel my hotel reservation. By the time it was cancelled it was 2 minutes beyond the time required for a full refund. They refused to make an exception (while an emergency evacuation for FL was in place and their phones were jammed) because they said I was made aware of the policy at the time of booking. I will NEVER book via their site again. "

"Please don't use this website....you cannot cancel your reservations for any reason even if you called within 15 minutes of placing the reservation. They are sneaky in their way of terms and conditions being in small letters hard to find. They stole the money out of our account right away. Avoid them like the plague...there are much better ways to find pet friendly hotel without dealing with these crooks. They don't care if they have a bad reputation as long as they can steal your money. Same old story. Brindfido.com lets you just search for one and you call yourself."

"I would provide ZERO stars if I could. They LIE. I had to pay EXTRA pet fees at all hotels I booked with them. The "fancy" Boise Hotel and Convention Center really made out! THEY refused to take the extra money because I was going to write a check. I told them I prepaid with someone else's credit card and they said, "Sorry, we don't take checks". I was NOT allowed to stay there with my cat since I couldn't pay the extra $20.00, yet OPH took the $92.81 anyway because "you did not cancel ahead of time".
I was moving across the country and sorry if I failed to investigate you on the road, but I was TIRED and the Internet was spotty at best in the mountains !
AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE !!! I plan to warn EVERYONE on ALL the complaint lists !

"AVOID THIS WEBSITE at all costs! I was scammed and ripped off by this website and I caution all travelers who have pets to not use their website to book your reservation.
I went on to their website to book a hotel in Nashville, TN, and clearly saw on their page for the Hyatt place that there was "NO ADDITIONAL PET FEES!" This is how is was written on the website. Booking was fast and efficient, however after booking, I called the hotel and they told me there was a $150 pet fee? So I went back to their Official Pet Hotel website for the hotel, to review details again, and it CLEARLY said "NO ADDITIONAL PET FEES!" Even with the exclamation point.
I called the customer service, was transferred to a third party vendor who handles the reservations. They put me on hold for almost 30 minutes, then came back and told me some crap about the fine print saying they were not responsible for fees charged by hotel. Point is that I would never have book the room has I not seen their message saying there were NO FEES. Well, after being transferred around, and told many different excuses, I was so angry and decided to go back to the site and take a screen shot of their page and send to the BBB. Well, during the time they had me on the phone, they changed the ENTIRE PAGE for that hotel. The no fees statement was removed, and they also updated the cancellation policy.

This was clearly a mistake of information on their part, and the sneakily changed the information after they realized they were wrong. I am reporting this incident to every website possible, as well as the Better Business Bureau, as they are scammers with false info on their site. I could not cancel my reservation and had to pay the $150, which I was FURIOUS about. They trick you into booking, but then there is NO WAY OUT once you do so. BEWARE and call hotel to book instead. Use their site to find pet friendly hotels, but recommend you DO NOT book through them, or you may experience what I did. They are a small place that obviously has the developers there with them changing pages on demand. I was ripped off big time!

"Inept. Difficult. Wrong. Frustrating.
Basically they showed a per policy of max weight 75# per dog for our reservation. On checking with the hotel, we found out it was only 50#. Our boy is 70#, so it was not going to work. We spoke to OPH.com on numerous occasions over 2 days to get them to refund us, boy was this an exercise in frustration. From them not seeing the info on their own website (?) to accusing my girlfriend of telling lies, it was just ridiculous. Add to that they would only give us first names, no last. When I asked for an e-mail address so I could prove to them the 75# was on their own confirmation they refused to give out an e-mail address. What kind of company is this?. Seriously. This company is not to be trusted - they put wrong info on their website, and refused to own up to it. Veronica in particular was flat out rude. Overall I have to give zero stars. OPH.com only came round to our way of thinking when I threatened legal action. Please do yourself a favor and steer well clear.

"Awesome website. The two hotels we stayed in were clean and had good areas to walk our dog. Both hotels had a nice breakfast included. We have another hotel reserved for mid Jan 2011 and looking forward to it. This is the only website we will use to reserve a hotel when we have our dog with us.
