"Our company purchased 3 Garmin Rino 530 HCx from North Adams Outdoors on 4/28/09 and they shipped on 5/01/09 , “free UPS ground” and arrived in our office on 5/05/09 . The packages were shipped in two different shipments but both arrived on the same day. At first we were a little worried since we had never purchased from this company before and when it shipped that tracking info was not on the shipping noticed. We called the next business day and they informed us that the tracking would be available within 24-48 hours. At first I couldn't understand why they couldn't give it to me at that time but the customer service explained that if it had shipped on of North Adams, MI it would have been sent with the notice but since their main warehouse is in Memphis, TN it took the extra day or two to have these email over and upload in their system. We received the tracking info from them the next morning and within a few hours our package arrived.



In June we will be purchasing 5 more units from this company and we highly recommend them.

"I purchased a Bradley Jim Bean Smoker on 4/28/09 and they shipped this on 5/01/09. The smoker arrived at my home on 5/06/09 and we absolutely love this item. They were not the cheapest but they did have a great price and the item arrived on time. The only negative I can say is the I didn't receive the tracking until 5/5/09 but the item arrived when I was told.

"Ordered from North Adams and initially had some difficulty with my order. However, they quickly tracked down my shipment and fully refunded the shipping cost. "I would never trust these guys again. I ordered a Northstar Explorer GPS from them and wasted one and a half months before they finally refunded my money. They kept giving me the run around with their delaying tactics. They never replied to emails, they said they've shipped my order but never did and didn't give any tracking no. They said they've refunded but never actually sent the money. Only after opening a dispute with paypal and filing a complain with www.bbb.org did they finally refund my money. But the currency exchange rates and long distance calls set me back $40, not to mention the weeks of frustration and sleepless nights.

If you are drawn by the low prices please think twice. If you are feeling lucky, just learn from my experience. Make sure you get a tracking no. Don't believe them when they say they've shipped until you get a tracking no. Make sure you are in constant communication contact with them. And don't let them give you the run around. Pay with a credit card that will reimburse you in case of non-delivery. Paypal buyer protection only works for certain qualified ebay transactions.

As for me, I'll take my business somewhere else.

Wow! You guys are fantastic! Suddenly, your story has changed and you are now accusing me of fraud! The fact is, you guys never contacted me about anything and if it takes a bad review to get you guys to respond, something is wrong with your customer relations! Also your fraud warning from your alleged vendor is hilarious! Since you have no qualms posting my personal info in this review, how about posting your vendors info too? I'm sure my lawyers will have a field day with your reply!"

"Long story. After some complications with e-mail (some reason e-mails they sent me didn't arrive to my Inbox although my address was clearly correct in their correspondence) they took care of me.

"Being my first experience with North Adams Outdoors, all has gone quite well. My order for the Eureka Equinox family tent was placed on the 14th of April. After making the purchase, using the secure payment method of PayPal, their website's next page clearly stated that my payment would take 2 or 3 days to fully clear before processing my order would continue. Reasonable, especially considering this small business just started 8 months ago. Was notified in 2 days by email that my order had been shipped, my tracking # to follow within 48 to 72 hours which it did, even though at the time they were experiencing problems with their software that lists the tracking # in our personal account section (it was sent to me manually emailed, along with a fine, generous letter of explanation). Though shipping using UPS ground (my request for ground shipping) as well as awaiting those few days while the payment cleared, my order was received in great shape in just 9 days. ~Excellent~

From emails & communicating by phone it is clear to me that these fellows at North Adams Outdoors are quite busy & doing their best to offer incredible prices while fulfilling numerous orders. My new Eureka Equinox, a tent I've wanted for many years, was only made possible by these guys offering it for 25% less than most anyone else... hands down the best dollar deal out here now. Am very thankful.... hence, my loyalty.

With some here expressing their frustrations & unhappiness with this company, am wanting to suggest that after making your order you give these guys the time & space to fulfill it. Have a little faith. The dollars saved are well worth it, in my opinion, & understand that they are not a giant outdoors supply merchant like REI or Campmor... YET. :-) Am going to make a prediction that this small, upstart company is going to grow & that those who exercise a little more patience than they may be used to with other much larger companies will realize the rewards that come as a result.

"I ordered a Garmin Zumo 450 GPS on February 20th and paid extra for the "3 day select" shipping. After many emails and phone calls, the has gone from: we will send it out now to it was lost in the mail and we're finding a new one to we'll upgrade you to the 550 (better model) to we forgot to send that one to we'll send it today or refund your money. It is now 60 days later. I will NEVER do business with this company again. I have lodged a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau). If I don't receive my product or money by tomorrow, I will start the legal process of getting my money back."

"I purchased a Big Agnes insulated air core pad from North Adams Outdoors on 2/27/2009. I paid for UPS ground shipping but they were having a special that week and upgrade by package to 2nd day air and this arrived on my door step on 2/20/2009. I called them on 2/21/2009 and informed them that I received my package and how impressed I was with their company since I had never purchased from them before. Since then I've purchased a Garmin nuvi 500 and they were able to get this to me before I left on our vacation.

UPS delivered them this morning and everthing is in its original package and looks fine.
