"Ordered July 20th. Got confirmation e-mail within an hour, which I accidently deleted with some spam. Never got a e-mail to confirm shipping. Called numerous times about my purchase and got a different story each time. I asked them to refund my money because the transaction has taken to much of my time on July 28. I was told they never charged my acount (after i was told the item had shipped four days prior). I said that is not true I have looked on my bank statement and seen the withdrawal. I was told that a supervisor would call me back shortly. I never heard back from them. I then went to my card issuer the next morning (the 29th) and asked the card issuer to retrieve my funds from the company. Came to reseller ratings and typed this out."

"I placed my order on Tuesday July 15th. I received no confirmation email. I logged into their site and went to the order status. It showed my order in their system. After a couple days went by i called them on Thursday the 17th. The customer rep. said that they had the order and it "should" ship out this afternoon. Fast-forward to Monday the 21st. I checked their online order status (which really doesn’t help you at all) and saw that my order status was the same as it was when i placed the order. I call them up again and the customer rep. stated that they had a "small backorder" on the item and it "should go out today". I asked if i would receive an email with a tracking number when it shipped. He said yes. Wednesday the 23rd is here.. Still no tracking number and the order status shows me nothing. I originally ordered from this company to give them a chance. They had a good price and decent reviews on reseller ratings. I now think i should have ordered from googlegear instead.

"I ordered a GA-8KNXP from this company on July 8th. I never received an order confirmation e-mail, so I called on July 9th and they told me it would ship that day. I got two (not sure why) e-mails later that day saying my order shipped. I ordered two day shipping and it arrived on July 11th just like it was supposed to. Motherboard was in working condition and was exactly as advertised. Seems like they have some e-mail issues to work out, but besides that, they are a good company and I would order from them again."

"Ordered a CPU a week ago. Received a confirmation of the order, but not of shipping. Sent several emails requesting information on shipping status.
Reply said to check on their website. This feature did not give me any information.
Called today and was told that the would get back in 10 minutes with shipping status. 4 hours later I called them back, since they didn't return my call. They said the item would ship tonight.

Will check again tomorrow.

CPU arrived 7/8/2003 in retail box.
Perhaps, I was too harsh in my earlier comments.

To clearify one missunderstanding, We do not store any credit card information on our website. All customers' information are store on a database server that is well protected behind a firewall. All information can be remove by emailing or giving us a call.

I don't usually bash businesses and I want to give everyone a fair chance but I feel I must write a harsh review for nexcomdirect so that others will be aware and maybe nexcomdirect will rememdy the problems I faced.

I ordered an item from nexcom because both nexcom and another dealer had the same low price. The other dealer has a high resellerrating but they only use FedEx and I prefer UPS so I read the reviews here and the other reviews are positive so I give them a chance. I ordered my products on a Tuesday, hoping that if they ship out on Wednesday, I would get them by Friday of that week. I really needed the item by Friday so maybe that's why I'm so irked. Anyway, I did get an order confirmation but no shipping confirmation but the next day my credit card was already charged, the charge was not a pending or pre-approval but an actual charge. Any decent company should charge a credit card only after shipping the item so I thought they shipped the item. (They manually had to charge my card, it was not an automatic web charge since they had to manually remove the shipping charge because they offered free shipping, so someone at nexcomdirect personally charged my credit card knowing that the item was not in stock and not shipped plus on their site, my order was adjusted that day to reflect the free shipping, so none of this stuff was automatic.) I don't bother calling until Friday, hey my credit card was already charged, it must be on it's way, right. WRONG. I give them a call, they are out of stock of the item and maybe they will ship it out on Monday. What the heck is that? Why did they charge my credit card on Wednesday if they don't have the item in stock and may ship out the item on the following Monday.

THE MOST DANGEROUS AND UNSAFEST PART ABOUT ORDERING FROM THEM IS THAT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO IS AUTOMATICALLY STORED ON THEIR WEBSITE AND THERE IS NO WAY TO REMOVE IT. SO ANY HACKER CAN GO TO THEIR WEB SITE AND GET CREDIT CARD NUMBERS. THEY SHOULD HAVE THE OPTION TO REMOVE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION FROM BEING STORED. DANGEROUS! BEWARE!
(to be fair only the last 4 digits are shown but if someone can get access to your account, they can just order whatever they want, sure other places store your number but you have to option to remove it, here they don't)

FIX THIS NOW NEXCOMDIRECT!

Anyway, in summation my problems with nexcomdirect were:
1. Website does not have real time stock.
2. Charge credit card for out of stock item and before it is even shipped.
3. Credit card info stored and no way to remove it.

Now after all this bashing, I'm fair so let me just say that when I called to inquire about my order, they were courteous on the phone and I did recieve a refund within 5 days of canceling my order.

So this is my story, I'm sure if they had my item in stock, my experience would of been great but since it wasn't this is what they have to fix before they are a GREAT online retailer.

"Giving these guys a shot. I order a couple P4 processors based on a pricewatch ad. They should be $157 each insured ground shipping included.

I added to the comments section of the order to have the shipping and sales tax (I faxed my reseller info to them) removed.

They seem to have good prices so if they are also reliable they will get more business from me.

I will update this review as the order develops.

Placed my original order on Sunday night and it shipped out on Monday. I called to confirm the status and their customer support person was polite and very professional. I placed another order over the phone as was told it would ship out same day.

Great prices on boxed processors and they are reliable… they will see more business from me for sure.
