"I have purchased a front license plate holder about 2 weeks ago from this vendor and it was stated on the web site, that this part is an official replacement part for Subaru Crosstrek XV 2014.

Now, when I received this item, there were no clear instructions how to mount it - and it did not fit the manufactured holes (2) for the license plate. I took pictures aligning the holes and the license plate mount holes, which clearly did not align (there was at least 1 inch of misalignment).

I have contacted customer service explaining my issue (also sending the images) and I was told that that is the right part, I am just "stupid" not to put it on. I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University - so I know about aligning two holes to screw them together. I found this "voice" insulting from any customer representative and asked them to double check the part.

When they responded, they said it is the right part and that the image clearly (not true) show alignment... Anyone with a clear vision would see that did not align! I demanded my money back, but they stopped corresponding with me via e-mail and told me to find a local dealer to mount it.

Very disappointing! I researched this misalignment problem online and it clearly exists with US customers. They should be aware of this issue and sell proper instructions when selling this product."
