Out of Stock? Then why take my credit card info?

"Placed an order for over $500 worth of tile, set up the account, gave all my credit card info, only to be told at a later date that the item was out of stock and not sure of a future delivery date. A basic service any company should provide is to tell the customer up front what items are in stock and how many of them are available to avoid putting your credit card info at risk for no reason. "

"Worst experience ever!!! i placed an order on 11/6/13 for glass subway tiles. Website said it would ship in 3-5 days. When time went by without a word from them 2 weeks later I called and was informed they are coming by ship and they are not yet here. They claimed they notified me, but this is not true. About a month later they received the tiles but said it was the wrong color so they would send me a sample first. This was far from the color i wanted so i cancelled the order on 12/20/13. This is the last item needed to complete my remodel and has delayed the project 2 months. Ever since i have been trying to get my money back. Whenever i call there is no answer, i leave messages they never call me back. I have sent more than 20 emails and once got a reply that they will take care of it. I finally called from work phone and finally they answered, and i was merely told they would have accounts look into it. If you take money from someone and dont give them goods in return or give the money back that is fraud/stealing. To date nothing from them, i can say worst customer service ever!

"My experience with Mike and the rest of mytilebacksplash.com was great. I was searching for a match for my linear mosaic after my original source went out of business. MyTileBacksplash had it for a great price and very inexpensive shipping. They didn't carry the tile in stock, but that's to be expected. Even with the extra time it took for MTB to get it from their distributor, the tile arrived at my house in exactly one week from time of order. It was packaged extremely well, double boxed with foam peanuts. Not a single tile was broken, which is amazing considering how fragile the long natural stone tiles can be. Within 2 hours of their arrival, we had them hung on the wall. We were able to patch the missing section of backsplash and get our kitchen reassembled just in time for my family's arrival the following day for Easter weekend.

Both times I contacted MTB, I received a response from Mike so quickly I thought it was some kind of auto-response. The customer service was extremely fast, polite and helpful.

For future tiling jobs around the house, I wont even bother googleing again, I will certainly be ordering from mytilebacksplash again.

"My orders were shipped and delivered in the time promised on the website, and I am located on the west coast. Customer service was very responsive and quick. (I made email inquiries on four different occassions.) My glass tiles are gorgeous."
