Bad customer service

"Ordered a mower,I received tracking info only to find after taking the day off the info is not accurate,and not even close it was 2 weeks wrong,after speaking to mowers at jacks they pretty much said we got your money the shipping is your problem."

Terrible customer service

"I ordered a mower online and got a confirmation email. The next day, I got an email saying my order couldn't be completed and that I needed to call. After 20 minutes on hold, I hung up because I didn't have time to stay on hold. So, I just sent an email saying "please cancel my order." I can buy this mower online elsewhere and not sit on hold trying to help them sell me something. Three days later and the charge for the mower is still showing on my statement. I called and decided I would definitely wait on hold to speak to someone. The woman I spoke to was rude, said she received my email to cancel my order so she had cancelled it. You would think they would respond to my email, but no."

Don’t Order unless~~

"Placed order on May 4,2019 for mower, blades and bagger. Did not receive mower till June 10th. I had to keep calling asking where it was. People were very rude, spoke to manager he was also rude. Received blades couple weeks later. Still no bagger and no communication from Jacks on this item. I call again, should be shipped out week and half. Still no bagger, called again, called on 7-12 said they would call me back, did not call back, I called again 7-13 said have someone call me on Monday 7-15, no call back. Called today 7-17, won’t be shipped till late August. Nope- Sorry been waiting for this since May 4th, customer service is horrible so I just wish to cancel my order. From minute I placed order customer service was HORRIBLE! No communication on anything and people were rude, snotty, unfriendly. I would pay more somewhere else to have better customer service"

Item not in stock but they don't let you know and keep you waiting forever.

"After I ordered several items and check my order status, one of an items is not in stock but they don't let me know. I was nicely emailed and asked to send me the ones that they have available on hand and ship the other when it becomes available. They never response my email. Don't be fooled with this company. Amazon is the way to go."

Incorrect info on website left me with huge return shipping bill

"Ordered Ariens log splitter table - Jack's operates at least two different websites.

I ordered from Mowersatjacks which had this item listed as "Fits Model: Ariens 22, 27, and 34 ton log splitters."

Turns out, it doesn't. A sister site they operate listed a small subset of splitters it actually fits - something I found out after receiving a part that neither fit my splitter or matched the photo. The part sent was an older model that Ariens no longer even lists.

Jack's left me to sort this out with Ariens - and when I finally did and learned there are multiple revs of the part, they told me "oh yes, that's all on our site and you didn't see it." Except it was jackssmallengines they were looking at - not mowersatjacks!

So then we confirm mowersatjacks is missing all of this information. But rather than recognize this error, their story is "oh, we didn't say it fits ALL Ariens 22 ton splitters!"

As for the part not matching the photo, they told me "oh, we use stock photos so it might not match." So at this point, a return policy based on website discrepancies is basically useless.

So despite the fact that one of their two storefront websites lacked key information that led to me getting stuck with an old part that doesn't fit and is no longer sold direct from Ariens, they took no responsibility for the return shipping.

Ironically, my invoice says "After the sale, it's the service that counts!"

Lesson learned - next time I'll order from my local big box store that would not have left me stuck like this.

"I found the store on a web search for mowers. The site was easy to use and ordering was a snap. The mower was delivered to my door a day early and arrived undamaged. Great buying experence. What else can you ask ?!"

"Mowers at Jacks.com was outstanding. The first machine I ordered had a problem. In days Jack picked it up and replaced it. Perfect! I will continue to use Jacks with confidence. Their customer service people are wonderful."
