I placed my order via a Groupon on Nov 23rd. According to the Groupon lead time was 5-7 business days so plenty of time for Christmas. Only after I submitted the order on their site was I then told 3-4 weeks. Yikes, cutting it close. When I had heard nothing on Dec 23rd I submitted a customer service request. That request was never answered. I waited almost 2 weeks. I then started poking around the Internet to see their negative reputation. I then called Groupon and asked for a refund. They promptly complied. I tried to again contact MHD. Their phones are disconnected and they do not respond to customer service requests online.
I finally received a generic form letter from MHD thanking me for my patience with their overwhelming response to their sales. It also told me I would not get an individual response. Yay me! A couple dates later I get notification of my order shipping. The tracking number never did work until the package was delivered. That is what happens when you use USPS First Class!
My product arrived massively late. It was damaged in shipping. It was constructed of hardboard instead of actual wood. It had a typographical error on it. And even though a sign, it has no way to hang it. I paid $8.00 for USPS First Class shipping of a piece of hardboard in a sparsely padded envelope. I'm still trying to get that refunded.
I have submitted an additional customer service request to address my damaged, error-filled order. I have heard nothing in over 2 weeks.
Yes, I am thoroughly disappointed. No, I would never order from them again. I strongly urge everyone to skip this vendor and buy from someone else instead. They can be found on multiple sites - Groupon, Etsy, The Knot."
