"I have purchased 2 inexpensive ball pens, 2 low end fountain pens and one middle range ($585) fountain pen from this seller. The website is easy to navigate. They have a good selection and sometimes have items not easily found elsewhere. Prices may be a little higher than other sites but in some cases they are offering items you cannot find elsewhere so you pay for what you want. Pictures could be better and often do not show the nib. I called one time for further details on a hard to find item they had on their site and got a gruff sales person on the other end who really didn't know much at all about the product I wanted. She wanted me to order it on line "so I could save on shipping" but I got the sense that she just didn't want to bother with me. Once ordered it is not possible to get a tracking number and with something so expensive that's important to me. On another occassion when I ordered two inexpensive pens as gifts (under $20) I waited and waited and finally sent an email to which they replied that the pens had been on back order but would ship that day. It would have been nice to have known the pens were going to be backordered before I placed the order or at least to have notified me shortly after the order."

"I ordered the Lamy 2000 Ballpoint Pen Black / Brushed Stainless Steel Clip along with various LAMY M21 refills. I have purchased similar LAMY pens before (such as LAMY 2000 Multi Ball Point, SWIFT, and other LAMY Ball points / Rollerballs) from other websites and I have to say I have been disappointed. Without mentioning the other merchants - all pens ordered from other sites may have had prompt customer service or shipping but all items ordered had some sort of imperfection. I don't know - maybe I'm too fussy when it comes to things like this but being a pen collector -- I can do without various marks, slight scrathes on the pens body or clip. Especially if one is buying new items. My order from Montgomerypens.com on the other hand -- delivered an immaculate pen. In fact I was so surprised at first I had to bring out a magnifying glass just to confirm. The pen was in immaculate factory sealed condition. Will definitely order from this site again. "Very satisfied with my experience at Montgomery Pens, wide selection of pens available from a number of the major pen companies. In-stock position appears to be very good (I have had problems with out-of-stock merchandise at other pen merchants which brought me to Montgomery), processing and shipping are very quick (always received my items within 2-3 days of ordering) and the free shipping is a nice benefit.
Customer service has always been very responsive and helpful in my experience, they do seem genuinely interested in customer satisfaction.
Two areas of improvement I would suggest is the website could be better organized and more professional in appearance and the return window could be longer as 7 days seems unnecessarily short to me (I have typically seen 14-30 day return windows at other merchants). "
