Buyer Beware

"VERY WEIRD COMPANY WITH INFERIOR MATERIALS THAT HARASS CUSTOMERS-NO JOKE! I attempted to order online from them & kept getting bumped off by their online system with a message to call them. After a week of reaching no one by phone I attempted online again & order went thru. Their online ordering was more cumbersome than other websites requiring extra info in order to go thru & I was frustrated. I put that in the comment box & also expressed that I would no longer order from them going forward. I received an automated email confirming my credit card charge and the product ordered. Next day Montessori N Such sent me an email stating that they cancelled my order because I found them so "frustrating". I emailed them back that I did not cancel my order-they did & to reinstate or I would contact consumer agencies. They said I must reorder online or by phone. I asked Montessori N Such what were they going to do for me after their customer harassment. Not even an apology was offered from them. I was THEN emailed back that the product I ordered was now out of stock & no longer available. I was blocked from contacting them via website as well as by phone. My husband then placed an order for the exact product using his name, a credit card different than one I submitted, but used same delivery address as I used. All went thru, he received automated comfirmation & then Montessori M Such emailed him stating that since the product ordered was for me, the product was not available as photographed. They held onto the refund for weeks. I finally found the product elsewhere (Alison's Montessori in NJ) & made with better materials than the more flimsy plastic version of Montessori N Such. The product I wanted was a Montessri "transfer activity kit". I figured out where to make my own kit. The mini suction mats are simply soap suction holders, or non slip suction mats for tub. Mini mats can be found from many companies listed on Google. Beads, marbles, or pom poms found at any craft store (Michaels). Tongs or tweezers found @ Alison's Montessori or Montessori Services. "

"I ordered a set of language objects and was extremely disappointed that the quality did match that of the website picture. While I understand the actual objects can vary, I expected similar quality to those pictured. While the website shows 3-d animal models similar to the Safari Toob animals. I received, instead, as one of the items, a very small and flat eraser shaped like a pig. It was about the size of a penny. When you consider I paid a dollar per item averaged out, the quality was lacking. One of the items was a sun cut out of extremely thin craft foam. Definitely wouldn't have paid a dollar for that! While I realize that they should be able to make a profit but I don't like paying a dollar each for items that are worth a dime at best.

Additionally, the customer service I received on my return was atrocious. The woman on the phone, who said her name was Yahooda, was extremely rude to me about my return. While she did say I could return the items, they will not refund shipping because they do not consider the items defective. They may not be "defective" per se, but they are a much lower quality from the items pictured on the website (just like if you order an iPhone and get a low-quality knock-off, the knock-off might not be "defective" if it works but you would still feel ripped-off). The managers were "unavailable" and did not return my calls and now when I call they are not answering the phone. I have never been refused speaking to a manager before in the handful of times I've asked for a manager at a company but at Montessori N Such you apparently cannot speak to a manager.

Some of the things were cute but overall I feel extremely ripped off for the amount I paid for these things. And now I will be out $12 of the shipping I paid for them to ship it to me and the $13 I paid to ship it back to them- so $25 total.

In short, low quality items and the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Stay far away!
