A tiny stem

"I ordered a Chinese lantern plant bulb or root and I got a four inch little piece of stick. Wasn't expecting that. Ordered 18 lilies on sale. Later informed out of stock. The Carolina jasmine was a four inch cutting. For the price I guess I was expecting something similar to what I've received from other companies. "

Bad Company

"Placed 2 orders with them. One came relatively on time, the other one vanished. It has now been way past its time. I called and was told that the order would ship, but they did not know when. Half of the roots in the first order were either dead or dying. I will not buy from this company again"

"The shipment that I ordered was half dead and the flowers that didn't die never grew. Now they won't stop sending junk mail. Avoid this company. "

Dozens of plants ordered.

"I placed several separate orders for plants and all were received in timely manner. The plants were well packaged and healthy looking. Some of the begonia tubers were unusually large. As to plant size, they are generally small as you might expect when paying a third of the local nursery price for a gallon size plant. If you want greater savings, wait for their second, third or fourth catalog offerings as prices are reduced, sometimes with free shipping. Many items, however, will be sold out.

"Changed prices after I ordered!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! SCAM! Been on the phone for 20 minutes trying to cancel my order after they over charged me by $40 dollars. Refused to get a supervisor, refused to cancel my order, and put me on hold for 15 minutes until I threatened them with the Better Business Bureau, etc. Still waiting. I clicked through an email for 50% off, placed order, but when I went to check shipping status, they only gave me $20 off. They are very argumentative and unethical. Do not purchase from them. They are refusing to refund $ and told me to keep calling for the next two days to see if someone will cancel the order."

"I was very disappointed in my purchase. It took me 10 days to receive my order, and when it came the plants looked like weeds from my yard. Butterfly Bush Rainbow is about 3 inches high. The rose bush for 14.99 is about 6 inches tall and pale in color. Big rip off."

"I ordered plants from Michigan Bulb and they sent me a letter with shipping dates in March and early April. I live in York Pa. where the saying is “If you want to keep your plants alive, don’t plant until Mother’s Day (5/10/15). Therefore, what good is receiving my plants in March? Do I want them to die waiting to be planted? I called customer service and the person said they would delay shipping but they may run out and I might not receive them. WOW! Sounds to me Michigan doesn’t know the shipping zones and they are willing to ship plants too early to keep them alive until proper planting time. Or, take them early or you may not get them. I get tons of plant catalogues. Maybe some of these other companies know what they are doing and show a little more concern for their customers.. "

"Company does not know it's left from right hands. Before you purchase read some of the reviews and see that people ae having trouble with their orders.

I have paper shipping notices that Michigan Bulb Company has sent me in the mail and then emails. My card was charged and I was sent 3 dead plants in which I took pictures of them and emailed them to customer service. They are reshipping those the first week of July 2014. But wait when I talked to customer service today, she said they won't ship till 2015.

The rest of the shipment was to come September 2014, and February 2015. I have packing slips that say this, today I recieved an email that my order was cancelled. For 2 weeks between emails and phones calls I was given the run around and told dates that where never going to happen.

Then I find out today the customer service center really does not know what is in stock. They just take the orders and put them into the system and basically one of the many greenhouse facilities that they use might have what the customer ordered.

"Ordered some hostas and fern roots from michiganbulb.com. They shipped on time for the planting season. Some of the hostas were partially leafing. Planted in garden and they all survived. They were on sale so they were priced well :-) Good experience."
