"I ordered memory on Dec 30, 2002. When I couldn't find my order status, I e-mailed the company and was told they had 'lost' the order and that I had to reorder the memory. When I reordered the memory, the price had increased. I sent back the confirmation of the original order and asked that they honor the original price. They did not respond and did not honor the original price. Later, I snet copies of all the e-mails accociated with the two orders and asked for a refund of the price difference. I received no response and no refund. I will not order from this company again."

"Pro: Good prices, responsive customer service (Dmitry, who I think is the owner/cust. rep), fair shipping

Con: Confusing/slightly misleading product info.

Bought an Infineon PC100 SODIMM from them, thinking I got a great brand memory for a good price. Realized when I received it that the memory was manufactured by a no brand company utilizing Infineon's chips. So, of course my laptop BIOS refused to recognise it.

But I got a refund (minus restocking fee) for that product. But still, a bit annoyed of the "misleading" info on the website.

"I was a little hesitant about purchasing RAM from Memorywizards.com because they have so few ratings and they weren't rated highly at that. However, they are the only place selling 256MB SO-DIMM memory "guaranteed" compatible with my PC100 CL2 rated laptop for a reasonable price that has a rating over 5. As I was just returning "compatible" RAM to one of the online merchants that usually comes through for me, I was really interested in the compatible guarantee.

I purchased two 256MB Dimmax PC100 CL2/PC133 CL3 SO-DIMMs on Monday the 13th. They were in Airborne's hands the same day and delivered less than 48 hours after I ordered them. (I paid for 2-day shipping.) I got emails from both Memorywizards and Airborne about the status of my order, and Memorywizards site had the Airborne tracking id on it.

They SO-DIMMs look a little strange because of the memory configuration they use to gain compatibility, but they seem to be manufactured well. They are in my laptop and have already made it through one pass of Memtest-86 3.0 with no errors. I'll probably let MemTest go through a couple more passes, but I've yet to have any memory survive the first pass and fail on a later pass. Less than two days from order to receipt, good communication and a working product in a finicky laptop -- I'm declaring this a winner.

Update on 1/30/2003:

One of the two SO-DIMM chips failed after one week. Before you cringe and think, "I'm not buying memory there," that's similar to my experience with RAM and hard drives. If a component is going to die, it generally does so within the first 30 days. Otherwise, they tend to last for their expected life. When I got the DIMMs originally, I ran three passes of MemTest86 without encountering a single error, so these tested as working when I got them. One of the two simply failed after a week of use. After the DIMM failed, MemTest86 found 432 errors in the first 2% of pass one.

Now, what’s critical is how the merchant responds. These DIMMS are "lifetime guaranteed" by Memorywizards, so I sent a customer service request via their web site. I received an EMA (Exchange [Merchandise Agreement] as opposed to Return) number within a few hours. I received the replacement DIMM within a week. I've run both the new and older SO-DIMMs through 3 passes of MemTest86 again without errors. Bottom Line: It's unfortunate when a failure like this occurs, but Memorywizards stood behind their product guarantee and was speedy in getting me the replacement.

"Order on Dec 29 a 1gb ibm microdrive. Up to today, Jan 8, I haven't heard from them. I called them and all they have is a mailbox that's full, so you can't speak with anyone. Also, emails are not helping. My CC hasn't been charged yet, and the order status of my order is still in "processing"..."

"Ordered PC133 Ram that was advertised to be compatible with older chipsets using a 66Mhz bus. There were many chipsets in the product description, including BX which is what it was purchased for. I assumed this meant it was low density ram. The ram I recieved, however was high density. Instead of returning the product, I exchanged it for low density where I work. Other than the mix up, or perhaps false advertising, the service was great and prompt. "

"Ordered a memory stick on Wed. Sent inquiry on Friday, no response. Logged on to check status on Monday, the status of the order was still "processing". After I cancelled the order online and place an new order with another merchant, the shipment arrived on Tuesday. I called in for a RMA, the first phone number said the mail box was full. I was able to resolve the problem using the second number provided on the website.

The person I spoke to seems to be knowledgable. He said there won't be any status for free shipping. I exchange my memory and the new one is now on the way.

"I purchased an SODIMM for my Dell Laptop from MemoryWizards.com After purchasing the wrong type (my fault, Dell laptops need specific memory), I called their tech support number and they were able to diagnose the errors I was recieving right away. Instead of paying $100 to order the correct one I needed from Dell, MemoryWizards.com recommended a compatable one they carried for HALF the price! The exchange process was easy and quick and everyone I talked to on the phone was very polite.

Shipping was very quick. I ordered my memory on a Friday and recieved it the next Wednesday! I recommend this company to anyone looking for memory for their computer. Their prices are very good.
