"I ordered a used MacPro from these guys. It arrived well packed but the back foot of the tower was severely bent to the point the tower doesn't sit straight. This was not listed in the description on their site. When I contacted them a week ago they never returned my message. I'm not sure if I can trust a warranty from a company which won't even write me back when I have a problem but they're quick to take my money, over two grand. For that much a flaw this large should be addressed or listed up front in the product description."

"I ordered Microsoft Windows 2010 Home and Student, which was shown as being in stock. After 14 days, MegaMacs cancelled my order with the following comment: "We have sold out of this item and have not been able to get anymore. Sorry for the inconvenience." So it took them two weeks to let me know that not only was it not in stock as claimed, but they are not going to get it back in stock. If you need something in a reasonable time, do NOT trust their web site's "In Stock" status!

"I have made multiple purchases from MegaMacs over the past several months and my recent one was the same. I get email notification of sales, they have an easy to navigate website, very good prices on 1- and 2- version old name brand software that we use and speedy delivery. They're a great resource to help us stay on budget. I recommend you check them out. "

"I ordered something off their website that said "available" and that it's a special order that would be delayed by one to three days. After seeing that it hadn't been shipped after over a week, I contacted them. Their customer service was helpful and responded quickly, but they told me that it would be one to three weeks before their vendor would even have it in stock. After that, the vendor then had to ship it to MegaMacs who would then ship it to me.

Overall, this was frustrating and if I had known, I would have shopped at another place that had the product in stock.

"Ordered a video card on 7/31. On 8/4, status said "with shipping dept." No tracking number was ever given. I called them on 8/6, they said it shipped on 7/31. This was not true, I ordered after they closed on that day. They gave me the USPS tracking number, which showed it would be delivered on 8/6, and it was. But it actually shipped on 8/4.

So, product arrived in 6 days. I never got an email telling me it shipped, nor did their tracking system ever show that it had shipped. Their tracking system is not particularly useful.

"Don't understand the bum reviews. My mouse died, and these guys are the only ones out there that still had the same model new in the box. The item shipped the same day I ordered it, and I had it within a week despite selecting "back of a lame camel" method of shipping to save a buck. In the words of Arnie, "I'll be back" "

"In spite of the troubles former reviewers experienced, I ordered an older mouse and keyboard because I couldn't find exactly what I needed elsewhere. I did have an initial problem; but, when notified of that, Megamacs immediately called AND emailed to ask my preference: refund or resend? I then received the order quickly. I was entirely satisfied both with the purchase and with the service. "

"Very slow, untruthful, won't cancel an order that they haven't / can't ship after a week. I ordered on a Thursday and had to start following up on why my shipment wouldn't ship. 3 days I was told "going out today", but not until I wanted to cancel and they wouldn't accept would they finally ship my Mac. Buying mail order is all about time and price, they are below average on both accounts."

"I ordered a used dual processor mac from the site. I had to get my address updated with my credit card company because the address didn't match. After this, the order went through and I was told the item should have been shipped or will ship on the day. Since this time, I have not heard back from them. I made numerous phone calls and sent emails to no avail. I finally got in contact with them 10 day later. Not only did my item not ship yet, but they told me there was an error on the website, that I am not even getting the item I ordered. I cancelled the order promptly. Customer support was horrible, along with slow communications. Would definitely stay away from them."

"I ordered refurbished JBL Invader Speakers from Megamacs, they arrived no problem, but after playing them they popped and crackled. Called customer service and all they recommened was get in touch with the manufacturer. I had to get approval from JBL to return them, JBL still has them delivered to them June 30. Was not pleased with lack of customer support with the problems I had with the speakers. Had to send numerous e-mails to get a response."

"Purchased a PDA belt clip because MegaWatts (same site) was the only site with it available. However, a few hours later, I got an e-mail saying it wasn't available! Also, three days after the fact, I received a newsletter from the site and I definitely didn't sign up for it. My login on the site had the newsletter option unchecked. Plus, I clicked on the "unsubscribe" link in the email, but it brought me to what seemed to be a different login page where my ID and password wouldn't work. I called customer service and hopefully they've removed me (it's been two weeks), although they don't understand why I couldn't unsubscibe on my own."

"I ordered a SODIMM from them on June 23. Get an email confirmation confirming order placement. After waiting for a week and no SODIMM, I called them about the order status. Seems there was a problem with my credit card, but they did not contact me about it. It seems it is MY responsibility to call them and inquire about such issues. I guess if they don't want to be proactive about customer issues then I don't want to be their customer."
