"There's a lot of profiles on the site that have members that don't log in for weeks at a time. They need to find a way to hide the profiles of people if they don't log in on them in a week's time. Helps with the people who are trying to find somebody and not with the people who are not looking anymore"

"excellent service-site works extremely well. has host of choices can make to try to narrow choices, different from other sites in what those choices are.
only issue I had was even when setting distance away from me invariably got replies from people 100's or even further away....

Charged after I canceled my account

"I was with match for 3 months. It was an alright site. I have found other dating sites with much better selection. I paid for three months. 2 days before my renewal was due I cancel my account and deleted my profile. When I looked on my bank statement, I was charged reoccurring charge of almost 90$$ for another 90 days. I am trying to contact then and can find no way to contact them with out creating a new profile. Someone please help me with info on how I can contact these people"

"Match is the most complete dating site. By far the best quality of women in one place. One thing to improve, under the have kids area- break it out into kids age groupings. Say, 0-5, 6-10, 11-14, 15+. Much easier to predetermine if a long term exists. "

Not for everyone

"Just like most of dating sites out there but just older and has a bigger pool of users. But matching algorithm is so basic and in the past. I'm sure it works for some people. However, if you are a man of color you may experience difficulties getting through ladies. But this issue prevails on most of dating sites/apps unless it's niche specific. Overall, it was not worth the money. "

Always Some Opportunity to Improve

"Match.Com attracts participation of people who are generally sincere about wanting to find the right match for them. In that regard, I have been impressed at how quickly the team roots out "bad players", who would use clients for commercial gains or other nefarious motivations.

The tools for search and review of personal profiles are solid, and relatively intuitive. However, there is always some opportunity to be even better. One area of concern is the frequent changes to the look-n-feel aspects of the website and App. I recommend slowing the pace of changes in the tools, and even providing some announcement of the changes.

Two, it would be nice to have the option to view the "full profile" without opening fold areas. Fewer clicks is better than reduced scrolling in my opinion.

That said, Match.com is clearly "best of breed" for the services of online introductions.

Unauthorized charges on my credit card

"I subscribed and paid for my account to Match on Sept 11, 2017. First time on Match, ever, and I was looking forward to this. I began to write to people over my first week as a new member. Exactly 1-week later on September 18th 2017, Match charged me for 2 subscriptions in addition to the subscription I purchased 1 week prior. One charge was for $88 and another charge was for $59 (in addition to the properly charged amount of $59 the prior week). As soon as I got an automated email telling me that Match had billed me for 2 new charges, I called their customer support line. I told the customer service representative that I wanted those 2 additional charges that were made...removed from my credit card. I never made them and when they were billed to me, I hadn't even been online that day yet because it was early in the morning (so I couldn't have accidentally clicked on something that would bill me). I was very pleasant to the woman and gave her the chance to correct this mistake. She decided to block me from my account! Can you imagine that?

Now...if I had been rude to her, or rude to other members of Match, then I would completely understand the punishment she was dispensing. However, I had GREAT emails with people I was interested in...and I was very nice to the customer service rep at Match. So, they just decided to block me from my account entirely, for no apparent reason. I read their long worded "terms and conditions"' and could not find any rules that I had violated. They just wanted to take my money, unethically. The match.com customer service staff are only customer service "monitors" and have no power or authority to make corrections to your account, nor will they transfer you to anyone who can actually help you. In my case, I wanted them to "un-block" me from my account so that I could continue emailing the people I had started to get to know. Well, it looks like I'll be looking for a new dating site. As far as my actual communications on the website go...I had a great time, although there were numerous fake profiles that were easy to detect as long as you used some common sense as you looked at the photo, age of the person, their bio, and the age of the person they were seeking. It was easy to determine the "fakes" versus real people, but yes, there were numerous fake profiles. If match isn't creating them, then they need to have better training for their IT department so that they can block the IP addresses of those who submit fake profiles.
