"I wrote a negative review earlier this month and was completely wrong! I called MagsForLess a fraud which is not true . . . I had confused them with MagsalmostFree from which I have ordered several subscriptions and received none of them even though they cashed my checks. Sorry! MagsForLess seems much better because they at least communicate with you . . . I have not yet received my subscription to Saveur, but I am confident I will begin receiving it soon. Again, I'm very sorry about the error!"

I have filed, others have filed too. If we all file a complaint, they will go after them and shut down their fraudulant stealing practices. "Ordered two years of Rolling Stone, I wisk I would have read the on-line reviews of MagsAlmostFree.com, they took my money and never fulfilled the magazine purchase. Their phone goes straight to a answering machine that is full of messages and cannot take any more. They do not respond to emails, but they do send out constant coupons to buy more magazines. Beware"

"Purchase a subscription to Good Housekeeping in September. Send an email every few weeks to magsalmostfree.com and no response. They have no phone number and I cannot dispute the charge because I waited too long (they say you will get it in 8-12 weeks). Total scam. Stay away from this company. They work under several different names and they are all a scam. When it's too good to be true, it usually is."

"Scam! I felt safe ordering since I used Paypal but later found out the hard way that Paypal payment disputes have to be made within 60 days. Since I was told that it was a 12 week wait for the magazine to arrive, naturaly it was too late for me to file a dispute with Paypal once I realized that the magazines were not to be expected. I've contacted customer service over 10 times and only received their automated responses. I should have checked the reviews on this site prior to making my order. It was only $12.99 but still a lesson learned!"

"Magsforless must have messed up for I actually recieved a couple issues from my order. But I guess they realized their mistake for they emailed PC GAMER to cancel the rest of my 2 year subscription that I paid for through Magsforless. What's really unconscienceable though is how when you contact customer service and they say they corrected the mistake but it doesn't get fixed. My advice: find some othe discounter to get your mags from"

"Paid for several mags in May 2007. Went to website to verify order and now it is suddenly gone. I was promised back in Sept 2007 that the problem was "fixed" and that my mags were coming. Yeah right...I think I just got scammed big time! Beware and stay away from this company!!!"

"ordered three mags in late november and one in early november. it is now august with no mags. have emailed repeatedly and have received 3 responses. two of which appeared generic while the first seemed like an actual person. my orders were supposedly resubmitted with a rush 3 times to no avail. previous order (mar06 and before)were fulfilled superbly however."

"This Company is a total rip-off. If you have placed any orders cancel and dispute them immediately on your credit card. They will put you off until 60 days has ran out then they will no longer respond to your emails. You will not be able to dispute the charges on your credit card after 60 days. I ordered 9 magazines and an now out $49.00. "

"Oh how I wish I had read reviews of magsforless.com before placing an order with them.

I placed an order for a subscription to the New Yorker in December. My confirmation email stated that the order would be completed in 3-6 weeks.

12 weeks later, the subscription had not arrived. I emailed their support group and received a response from "Megan". She said there had been a mistake in my order and that she had fixed it. She said I could either wait for the magazines, or she could issue a refund. I then made the mistake of telling her to continue with my order.

Two weeks ago, almost 7 months after placing my order, I sent another email to "Megan" asking for a refund. The generic response I received back said that someone would look into my issue and get back to me within two days. This obviously did not happen.

Today, I did a quick search for magsforless.com and came upon dozens and dozens of complaints, on this site and others. I emailed magsforless again, this time using every email address for them I could find. Did they respond to me? Well...

Whoever reads ****@**** forwarded my message to ****@****...and accidentally forwarded it to me as well. Above my message being forwarded was the following:

"Please come up with a response trying to convince people to
resubmit. But saying that they can get a refund if they really would
prefer a refund."

Oops! I now know that these people are simply trying to rip me off. I have a feeling I will never see my New Yorkers or my $20. It's time to file some complaints.....
