It Appears to Me that Made in Oregon is running some kind of Scam

"Background: I purchased 10 bags of Fresh Blueberries for $0.00, as posted on Made in Oregon website (I tried calling to verify the price which I had been seeing for a couple of days on their website, but no one answered the phone), along with 12 bags of Pan Dried Mushroom Jerky for a total of $70. I am calling it a scam: they posted false info online (for days), then, when I took the bait and ordered, they took my money (knowing they had NO intention of shipping the product) and then waited nearly a week before noticing me that they refused to honor the price on the Blueberries. I immediately cancelled the order on May 4th and am STILL, on May 13th, am waiting for a refund. I opened a case with PayPal. Meanwhile, Made in Oregon has my money and I have nothing, as they, probably deliberately, are taking their sweet time with my refund. Apparently they have not had time to refund my money however, Ms. Shonna has had plenty of time to talk smack to me via email, that is until I called her out on the scam, haven't heard a word since then. "

Terrible customer service!!!

"I had to insist on talking to a supervisor who was as unhelpful as the rude and unreliable customer service employee I originally spoke with. I’m astounded that this company is still in business. Maybe they are so unreasonable because it’s going under. I was in the hospital for 4 weeks and my newborn was in intensive care for 17 days. They refused to allow me to exchange a baby blanket that was a baby gift. It’s brand new in the packaging, but a baby girl blanket (I had a boy). The supervisor said she could only give me a discount for a future purchase.. why would I purchase another blanket when I just need to exchange the one I have?! I’m a new mom that went through a very traumatic time, and they can’t make an exception for an exchange. Absolutely horrible and I’m shocked by the lack of compassion. I originally was impressed by the company, it’s a lovely blanket, but nothing can fix bad customer service. I hope someone teaches these people how to run a business. Being so stuck to their “policy” is absurd. Absolutely terrible."

Horrible Customer Service

"I will not be buying any products from Made in Oregon. Horrible Customer service, be careful when buying Pendleton Blankets as they will NOT give refunds. I returned the blanket in original packaging with tags and said that they found "hair" on the blanket. I took it out to see the size, it was too large, and did not use the blanket. So now I get to keep a blanket that any other company would have refunded me for. Lost money on shipping and now return shipping plus a $300+ blanket that I do not want. Thanks Made in Oregon. Never buying from this company again. "

Short dated product and poor customer service.

"My review is on two specific things.

1) Their shipping me a short dated product.
2) The response from their customer service.

I decided to order four packages of their dry roasted hazelnuts for my father in law from their website. I had a problem with the order, sent an e-mail to their customer service and while they replied to my first query they never got responsed to my second question. I submitted a review on their website but they never added it as it was a poor review.

In fact one of the bags expired before we had an opportunity to open our package that we received. Below is a link to the UPS delivery date of the 21st.

It is a reasonable expectation for a person that orders food online to have such a short best by date? Even the expiry date of April 30th is much shorter than we have expected. We have never seen any product delivered from any company with such a short date. Typical expiration dates for nuts is about one year or so.

What do we do when we cannot finish eating our purchase because they have expired? Should we throw them away without any expectation of recompense? Please advise on how this issue can be rectified.

My expectation when purchasing a product is that we will have ample time to enjoy the food while it has it's best flavor or quality. Is that an unreasonable expectation for a customer to have? Please answer yes or no.

Online buyer beware! Shipping time is a lie.

"CAUTION! Even ordering online, they are "closed on the weekend" and the shipping time doesn't start "until it leaves the warehouse", 2 days later in my online order.
I have ordered several times from Made in Oregon online and each time the shipping took nearly twice as long as promised (a week longer in one case, so the cheese was bad!).
I paid over $50 for 3 day shipping that won't get there for 5 days. So much for a birthday gift.
Customer service is NOT, the woman is condescending and rude. Online buyer beware.

"I ordered Christmas gifts online and it appeared to have an acceptable delivery date, then once I paid the receipt said future ship date of the date I expected to receive them by. I have spent half the day on hold over and over again, only then to get a voicemail telling me to leave a message. This is not acceptable. Im trying to pay the extra to get my order here by the date needed and I cant get 1 single person on the phone to make the change to the order. This is awful."

"I am sure the food and baskets are great! But the hassle it took to order our company gift baskets was ridiculous! It took a hour and a half just to send them out. Also tried calling customer service number first thing during business hours for help and only received a voice mail. Do not think I will do this again."

"I ordered the Tillamook Anniversary Cheese Wheel, and the experience was amazing! The order was prompt and arrived well packaged. Didn't have any problems, so there was no need to contact customer service. The cheese itself was amazing as well, would definitely order from again!"
