Terrible customer service and insanely long turn around time

"At this rate, it's going to take 4 months to get reimbursed for a camera and it's not even for the full amount. Customer service is also really rude. Useless. Don't fall for these scam warranties."

lousy service terrible follow-up

"i've been in contact with mack since october '21 for repairs to my oven. i received 1 phone call back. no technician has visited, despite promises and promises. when i go to their site and open an issue they assure me - by email - that a technician will call. if i was holding my breath for them to call back I'D BE MORE THAN BLUE IN THE FACE! as soon as nicole writes back she marks the incident as closed! it's not closed it's open the appliances are not repaired! she offered me a pro-rated refund on the warranty. complete nonsense. i want the ovens repaired - not have to wait for someone else to show up and overcharge me!"

Horrible

"Called about an oven 4 weeks ago and still havent received any service.
They keep on changing the story and tell me that the next supervisor has to approve it. Even once i was told that they assigned it to someone i havent heard from anyone in a week.

HORRIBLE Company/ TERRIBLE Customer "Service"

"I bought 3 five year TV warranties from one of Mack WW Warranties dealers costing a total of $597 paid for with my AMEX card. Mack claims now, 2.5 years later when I call for service, that their authorized dealer never paid Mack so Mack voided my warranties. Mack never contacted me, never gave me an option to buy another policy, etc -- simply voided my warranties and never communicated this to me even though I'm a registered user on their site and they have all my contact details. Mack refuses to speak to me about this and simply points to the fine print in their warranty policy that states they can cancel my warranty for non-payment by their dealer. When I ask them, why is their credit decision to extend credit to a dealer and then when that dealer doesn't pay them, it becomes my problem as an end-user? I didn't make the decision to extend credit to their dealer -- they did. But, given the fine print of their contract it is legally my problem. How fair is that??? I paid THEIR dealer for their warranties but their authorized dealer doesn't pay Mack so it's now my issue. What a "wonderful" way to do business -- stick it to your end-used clients. I've called Mack WW Warranty 12+ times -- no return call -- and I've written them several emails and the only response i get is a canned response of my warranty was void because of non-payment by their dealer BUT they've provided no proof of this to me. i believe this company is a SCAM. Consider yourself forewarned!! "

Worst Customer Service on Planet Earth

"I didn't know the service contract sold by my retail camera store was with such an unreliable company. I have tried calling, emailing, and completing forms on their website (which seems to be down more than up). My phone call was placed "in queue." I moved from place 5 to place 6, back to 5, and slowly down to 4,3,2 and finally next in queue!
I waited 24 minutes to have the call disconnect! Next, I tried their website again. This time it was operational! But, after more agony I was able to finally open a Repair Authorization. Sadly, that's just the beginning. I doubt I will ever get to talk to anyone. I am sure the contract was just a waste of my money. I suggest you do not buy a service contract from this company.

Purchased New TV 3 year warrenty for LG TV - Mack non responsive.

"Purchased new tv with Mack 3 year warranty with new LG TV from Beach Camera,

After 2 years the TV is dead and Mack Worlwide Warranty is non-responsive. They do not answer phone calls, emails or faxes.

Beach Camera just blew me off

So I guess I got ripped off again.

company fails to honor warranty

"I bought a expensive appliance and bought a warranty from this company to cover myself in case of problems. They are now refusing to honor the warranty. They are claiming that even though the machine is broken and does not work it is still not covered because it is a cosmetic issue.How a broken machine can be a cosmetic issue is beyond me. Basically they made up a excuse to get out of their obligation.In essence this company seems like a scam-they take your money and don't honor their obligation."

Mack and Sony were terrific

"During the 5 week break from pho school, I sent my camera through Mack to Sony for repair as I broke it when I fell. They fixed it after I waited about a month, which was expected. It was returned stuck in program mode. Unbelievable, but the remedy was even MORE unbelievable. Instead of taking two to three weeks in transit and repair, it will be back in less than a week because Mack expedited it and so did Sony. They didn't have to do that, and I cannot recommend either of these companies enough.
I will say that customer service was Sony was confusing. If you have Mack, just go through them.

Dec 2018 UPDATE: Ouch was I wrong. They didn't fix the autofocus problem I asked them to check. I ignored it because I needed the camera for class and just shot manual focus. Toggle broke. Repair came back with new broken toggle and autofocus doesn't work. Bought new camera. Finally sent other camera in to have repaired before warranty ran out. Returned stuck in manual and autofocus completely inoperable. Now it won't turn on. Seriously. I am shooting events and need two bodies. This is insane.

Mack repair successful for 2nd time!

"This is my second repair....first a nikon D610 - a tripod fall with damage to battery side of body, and just recently, a costly repair to the LCD screen of my D500. Both repairs took less than 3 weeks, with reliable updates via the Mack website. Very satisfied. order # 1010958!! thanks "

Very please with the service and the warranty this company give.

"My Sharp Aquos 80" color television suddenly stop working and I bought it from an online company East Coast TV's that is out of business 5 years ago. Luckily I bought an insurance when I purchased the TV. Fortunately when I saw the paper works, the warranty came from Mack Worldwide. I called Mack Worldwide and the customer service guide me patiently in getting further service. Lots of time with my broken English and heavy accent customer service gave a bad attitude and did not have patient. Within a short period of time my TV back to work and thanks to your excellent service and promised."

Had to return my camera twice for same issue!

"I bought an expensive camera and the salesperson strongly encouraged me to buy the Mack Extended Warranty, which I did. After a year of use the lens began making an audible sound when extending, with delayed opening. I took the camera to the retailer where I bought it and the warranty. They sent the camera away and after 8 weeks it was returned "supposedly fixed." I could still hear the grinding noise when the lens extended, but the woman in the store kept telling me "they all make that sound." I took a 7-week vacation to Europe where I wanted to use my camera daily to capture my trip. Immediately the camera lens began to hesitate opening and jamming. I have returned it a second time for repair with Mack Service and they've had it for a few weeks again. I asked for some priority service since it was a re-repair of the same issue, but apparently that means nothing. Still no camera and my confidence the issue will be resolved is slim to none."

Love ya Mack!

"How does one get excited about an extended warranty? Through the people behind it! Like Customer Service Manager Lauren, Technical Service Manager Eric, and Operations Manager Nick. These people rock when it comes to customer service! Purchased extended warranties from Asurion, SquareTrade, but NOTHING compares to the level of customer service I've received from Mack. Had to initiate service on a few occasions and these people were great to insure that it was done right the first time! Received prompt call backs, emails, and the personal touch was refreshing. The turnaround time was fast, knowing that my device was utilized everyday. Plus, I can state from experience that if it can't be repaired it will be replaced. Peace of mind, that in essence is what an extended warranty is suppose to provide. This is why I've purchased several warranties through Mack. Thank you again Mack and always remember to take care of those that represent your service like the people referenced above, because they are the true faces of your company. Love ya Mack!"

Outstanding Customer Service!

"As allowed under warranty, mackcam.com has cleaned the ccd and thoroughly checked my DSLR twice for free during the camera's two-year warranty coverage. My experience with mackcam.com has been wonderful. Via email and toll-free phone calls to learn repair status, customer service has been exemplary. Granted, mackcam is a big company and it has taken time to get through over the telephone, emails have taken more than a day for replies; however, whether in voice or in email mackcam's representatives have shown me nothing but professialism and great capacity for listening to my questions. Interactions with staff have been down to earth and informal, yet knowledgeable and most helpful.

Plus, my camera has received expert service by proficient, professional technicians. It is with a degree of sadness that I submit this review of mackcam.com, because my two-year service contract with them expired four days ago. I will miss their crackerjack customer service, knowing my expensive DSLR was in awesome hands. Purchasing the contract along with the used camera, was a very good choice. If ever you have opportunity to do business with mackcam.com I suggest no hesitation - their awesome coverage is worth every penny.

Mack came through!

"Purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 with a Diamond Plan Warranty in 2014. Sent my tablet in for warranty repair, unfortunately due to a defective main board, experienced the issue again. Interacted with Mack, with just a few months remaining on my warranty, they replaced my tablet from the factory which included a 90 day warranty through Samsung. This allowed me the opportunity to warranty shop, but the level a customer service I received from Mack was exceptional and therefore purchased another 3 year warranty! Thank you Mack, for your exceptional customer service, especially Lauren, Eric, and Andrew."
