Not always bad!

"I ordered a laptop replacement part from Macpalace.com recently. The order was fulfilled with the correct new item, which worked perfectly. The delivery was somewhat slower than I expected but they were responsive when I asked about it. I'd order from them again."

Don't use this site!! Wish there was zero stars

"I ordered a part on the 6th which was a Friday night, and the payment was finally processed Monday, the 9th. A week goes by and the item has still not shipped. Over the next week I send 3 emails requesting the cancelation of my order and a refund to my account for all payment to which I received absolutely NO response. Finally today (the 22nd) I still have received no word, nor has the item apparently even been SHIPPED! Which one would expect to have happened if I had even just been ignored the whole time! I threatened to take them to small claims court if i didn't get my money back or receive some sort of update. What a bunch of unprofessional crocks looking to steal your money. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. Save yourself the pain I should have."

DO NOT Buy anything from MacPalace

"DO NOT buy anything from this company. I am spanking myself for not reading the reviews first. They are horrible and lack integrity.

1) I ordered a LCD Replacement Glass for my Apple27" display.

2) They shipped it with a note that it was chipped....damaged goods. They lied when they told me that it was damaged in shipping. it was not. I have proof that t was shipped damaged with the note.

3) I told them that it damaged and to get it replaced. They wanted a 35% restocking fee and would not pay for the return shipping.

Again...DO NOT BUY anything from them.

A bunch of crooks. Avoid like the plague.

"I ordered a Logic Board from this company. I paid for a high spec board but they sent me a low spec board.
I purchased a Logic Board for an iMac 27 inch3.4GHz on January 5 2018 as below.
820-3299 MD095LL MD096LL A1419 Manufacturer Part Number: 661-7160
Cost US$406
Shipping: USPS US$109.07
The website is MacPalace.com
The web page stated there was a 60day warranty included.
The order number was 45797.
The shipping was stated as 6-10 days.
I received an email to the effect that the part had been shipped on January 24 2018, 19 days later.
I finally received the part on February 1 2018.
After installing the board I discovered that they had in fact shipped me a cheaper board.
The board I received was for a model which had only 512MB VRAM instead of the 2048MB VRAM the specified board should have had. They had sent me part number 661-7156.
I complained about this by email. They, at first, claimed that they had never specified the video card. I pointed out that it was tantamount to false advertising to supply a different part to that advertised. They claim to have supplied a "compatible part".
Finally they said they would give a refund if I sent the part back (being unable to supply the correct part I suspect!).
I duly mailed the part back (at my expense!) from Australia.
My postal service informed me the board was delivered back to them on February 12 2018.
I have sent many email reminders to them requesting my refund, but have had no response.
I have reported them to BBB of Los Angeles to no effect whatsoever.

Bait and switch

"Bait and switch. I ordered a complete display assembly (on the product page there was a link to the LCD only if you'd rather get that alone), and a couple days later I get an email stating that the item ordered was in fact a LCD only, and a complete display assembly was an additional $135. They changed the description of the item some time after I placed the order, yet did not acknowledge what had occurred."

OVERCHARGED ON SHIPPING AND REFUSED REFUND!!

"This company does business under a few different names, MacPalace.com, MacPartStore.com and PC TechSystems, Inc. Here is my recent transaction with them.

Ordered a logic board for a Macbook Pro 2011 since mine fried and they no longer service these models. 

Part came as advertised, however on their checkout page only 2 options were available for shipping. 1: UPS ground roughly $85. 2: UPS 2nd Day Air $115.60. (I live in Hawaii so shipping is always fairly expensive) Being as these were my only two options and I needed my laptop back in action ASAP I went with 2nd Day air. Upon receipt of the package I saw they used USPS Priority Mail Express 2-day.

Everyone in Hawaii knows that USPS is faster and cheaper than any other shipping service out here. Had USPS been an option at checkout I most certainly would have chose that. When I got the package I used USPS's website to see the cost of shipping using all of the information from their shipping label. The cost came out to $41.55. They over charged me on shipping by $74.05. Mistakes happen so I called their phone. 

They didn't answer the first few times and when they finally did I was told to email their info email and a manager would get back to me. A week passed with no response so I called again but this time a bit mer sternly. I was passed along to the manager this time (why didn't they pass me along to a manager the first time!?) and he explained to me that when they went to ship UPS didn't recognize my address (Bulls***, they deliver here all the time) and they tried to call me to ask if it was ok to ship it USPS (Bulls***, never had a missed call from Cali) "Josh" the manager tried to explain that since they don't normally ship via USPS they had to send an employee out to drop it off at a store (Bulls***, USPS does free pickups) and that they couldn't refund me. I asked him if he was trying to tell me the extra time it would have taken their employee to drop it off at a USPS office was worth $74.05, he avoided the question, twice. "Josh" was rude, interrupted me and told me that they "can't do things for free." I wasn't asking him to do anything for free, I was asking they refund the difference in shipping since they KNOWINGLY overcharged me by $74.05. 

Had to call my credit card company to get the difference refunded. 

Avoid this company by all means if possible. If not possible be aware they will probably pull the same shipping scam on you. I'm also guessing that my "4 year warranty I purchased is pretty useless as well, hopefully I don't need it.

If you want stolen parts in your computer, use these people

"These people buy working parts on eBay using an account not tied to them, then claim not as advertised and return different broken parts to the seller who loses the part and the money. I'm sure the working part ends up in an unsuspecting customers computer who will then come on here and say how great they are. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"

An owner who doesnt care and openly says it to a customer is sure to fail...

"I never write reviews but my experience with Mac Palace had to be posted for all future victims to see and be warned about. I ordered a set of speakers for a MacBook repair, their website listed the right and left speaker. I ordered them and paid extra for UPS shipping as my store is on the East coast and macpalace is on the west coast. After waiting three days and not getting any email response of my order or a tracking number, I called their customer service line. Josh got on the phone and proceeded to tell me after putting me on hold several times that the listing was wrong and they only have one speaker not both as listed on their website. I told him that I had been waiting for the items for a customer repair and that I never even got an email or a call to let me know about any problems with my order, he told me and I quote " I don't care" do you want me to send the speaker or not he stated... I asked for a supervisor because he was so rude and disrespectful, not even an apology, he responded by saying he is the supervisor. Dumb founded I asked for the owner and he said I am the owner.... I lost not only several days when I could have ordered this part from someone else, they still have not refunded the charges and I am having to talk to my bank to reverse the charges, I was handled with such disrespect and lack of care or interest in the problem Josh and his company had created, I am still shocked at the "owner" Josh's I don't care attitude but to actually say it to his customers like me that did nothing wrong but order products and give him business... Again, I never write reviews but this guy Josh the owner has no idea what it means to be an owner let alone what customer service means especially when they screwed up and my customer in turn has to suffer along with me because " he doesn't care"? ! ... Do yourself a favor.. whether you're a store or a do it yourself person, DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY... JOSH THE OWNER IS TRULY THE WORST IVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN ALL MY YEARS OF RUNNING A BUISNESS. "

Horrible business - STAY AWAY! CROOKS!

"They shipped me the wrong part and I needed to pay for shipping to return it. Then, they only credited 65% of the purchase price and did not refund my taxes or shipping. I worked with my credit card company to get the rest back. Save yourself time and money and stay away - this is a crooked business.

Also, I paid for UPS shipping and they sent it USPS, which takes a day longer, and they said they did it cause it saved them money. They don't ship UPS even though you can pay for it on their site.
