"Bought a new computer from them 3 years ago. .. hard drive crashed today. Opened up computer to see hard drive specs before I went to buy a new on from Walmart. Noticed that they had put in a refurbished HD when I had initially bought the computer. But I had no idea. Took it back and the guy tells me that warranty is over totally ignoring the fact that they tried to sneak in a refurbished hard disk without my knowledge. They were totally exposed. Guy tells me the only option for me is for them to give me a 500GB HD to replace my 1TB because of my warrwarranty being over totally trying to hide the fact of the illegal placement of a refurbished HD when I ordered a new. Who would be dumb enough to buy a refurnished HD. BUYER BEWARE do not buy from here. Not that hard drives are expensive. 1TB hard disk is $50 brand new so this says a lot about the business they are trying to run."

"I needed a new gaming PC a while ago and ended up ordering it from Lu Computers, after doing a LOT of homework. It was a bit of a gamble, because I am new to Canada and all I had to go on were a few online recommendations, but I will definitely buy from these guys again.
Good:
- large selection of brands;
- fast catalogue updates (my computer case was a brand new model at the time of purchase and I was not expecting to see it in the list of options - but it was);
- prices range from low to very low.
- communication (via email mostly, in my case) is prompt, friendly, helpful;
- full PC customisation freedom;
- good computer assembly (cables, airflow, etc).
Bad:
- The only thing I can think of (but it's minor): It would have been nice to have my hard drives installed in the same order I specified when configuring my PC. As it is now, my 'first' drive is spotted as the 'second' by Vista - and vice versa. I realise this is very minor - something a lot of people wouldn't even notice, even - but there you go...
