PHONE WAITING EXPERIENCE

" July 1,2019 I Went to internet site to find out where my delivery was for two storm doors I ordered online, the site stated they could not help me and to call the store to get information on when they would be delivered. So began the calling process to get my information which turned into a nightmare. 1 st call I waited 25 minutes they transferred me to internet orders representative who had me wait 46 minutes as she was on hold with manufacturer of doors who were trying to find order. Was told doors would be in by end of day and they would call me...no call by pm started process again up to 9:30pm on hold. 62 minutes later no information. Called back on Tuesday 7/2/2019 and again spent over 65 minutes on hold to get no information...except they were being shipped from manufacturer and should be by Midweek. Called back on Monday July 9,2019 first told after 25 minutes on hold that the doors would be in Friday July 12th sometime. After hanging up the representative called two minutes later to state the doors were on the truck that just came in.
The problem was the consistent time being on hold and being passed along from one person to another. Please work on this as it shows your lack of staffing to handle call center /dept. thank you.

Uneducated staff.

"Started in the kitchen cabinets. Spoke to salesman inquiring about crown molding for cabinets. He informed me that all cabinets came with crown molding. He pointed to all the displays which of course have crown molding and said “see”? They all come that way. I walked to the aisle where individual boxes of cabinets are sold and showed him that they don’t come with crown molding and I walked away. From there I went to the molding aisle to look for a jig. The website says it in aisle 63 bay 9. I can’t find aisle 63, nothing higher than 52. I asked a salesperson. She agrees, nothing higher than 52. Then I spot 70. I go to 70. Bay 9 has no jigs. It’s all miter saws. I search around and finally find in the area. Then I buy one piece of molding. I go to check out at the contractors checkout. The kid looks at me and says “I guess I can check you out “. Like I shouldn’t be there. I don’t look like a contractor or only have one piece? The total was exactly $10. I gave him 10 one dollar bills. He looked at me like I was giving him foreign money. He didn’t know what to do with it. Then told me I had to select how I want my receipt. He guessed they want to be like Home Depot. Maybe Lowe’s should start giving some kind of IQ test or at least some training. Especially in the cabinet department. "

Lessons learned at Lowes

"We are getting started on a kitchen reno and towards that end I would require some new appliances. I had gone to Lowes to purchase these appliances first and had delivery set for Friday morning. Lowes showed up for delivery and upon bringing my new 33" square refrigerator inside our home declared that it would not fit up the 36" wide hallway with 5 steps. Then they asked if I wanted the 24" wide dishwasher delivered. I respectfully declined. The delivery personnel were third party contractors and I guess more suited to delivering bricks and wood and not furniture or appliances. They did not even have a fridge mover dolly with them, just a small home owner type big tire hand truck. So needless to say I was very disappointed and realized my error of trying to buy appliances at a home improvement store. I spoke with the manager at Lowes but the only suggestion that seemed workable for him was for me to hire my own people off of Kijiji, get a receipt and he would gladly reimburse me. So Friday afternoon I found myself at The Brick purchasing the same fridge and dishwasher. Great people to deal with, even took the time to explain the features of the new appliances to me as I had not been properly educated at Lowes. My new appliances were delivered on Sunday without incident by people who knew what they were doing and very experienced. They did not even need a fridge dolly as they simply put straps under the bottom of the refrigerator and picked the fridge up and carried it upright, up the stairs, and placed it against the wall. Very strong young men indeed. So moral of this little storey is, don't buy appliances, and furniture for that matter at a lumber store. Buy your appliances and furniture at the proper store that handles these things all the time and has capable people."

Another Satisfied customer

"The customer service is A1! I was having a difficult time finding a hardware object for a project my husband and I were par-taking in. I started to look around for help and at that moment a young lady came and greeted us, after she asked us if we needed help before I could even fully get out what it was we were looking for she said "follow me I know were that it" and began to take us to it. Store is a little hard to find stuff in but overall great service "

Poor Customer service at the Customer Services Counter

"To Whom It May Concern:

I was in your Lowes store #2261 on Saturday October 13, 2018 at 18:38 and had a conflict with one of your customer service Personnel on that date. I needed to have my credit card looked up which Elle did for me. She proceeded to ring up my items, a Grab bar, 3 small flashlights and a timer. Then she walked away from me. I needed a bag to exit the store. Elle when to ring up another customer, I stated I needed a bag, but it fell on deaf ears of both the personnel behind the Customer service counter. I stated it again but no one seemed to hear. I nugged the other counter personnel **** her right arm, who was on the phone, for a bag. She stated sharply and loudly, “Don’t you touch me”. I stated I need a bag. She stated “don’t you lay your hands on me”. In amazement, and truly exhaustion, I stated forget the bag. She said “You got that”. As I was approaching the door, “I stated you don’t have to be a b**** to me, I just wanted a bag.” She called at me, “what did you say?” I repeated it to her, as she was very wrong to talk to a regular customer in that manner. “You don’t lay your hands on me”, as she was bobbing her head. I told her she didn’t have to get all Ghetto on me, she is working and needs to be aware of customers. “Your ghetto” she stated. I stated I can call the manager from my phone. I left the store.
I called the store when I got to my car and left off my stuff in my car.. I went to the lumber check out and called the store on my phone. Finally a manager (a female) did answer the call and I asked for her to meet me in lumber, register 1. A man came down and was answering another customer’s questions and then he stated can I help you. I stated I was waiting for a manager and he stated he was one. I told him the event, as I am telling you.
It is important to state that the whole time the person I had the conflict was on the phone with another customer, speaking to me in the manner that she did. The other phone customer had to hear her as she talked loudly, rudely and insubordinately to another customer.

I am a regular customer, and actually that day I passed 2 Lowe’s and 2 Home Depot, as the Job I am working at is in Fort Myers, but I usually stop at the one close to my home, which is this store. In fact on Tuesday, I spent over $1000 for sinks, garbage disposals, and faucets. I will shortly be working on a entire kitchen renovation in the next couple of weeks. As well as a Garage renovation coming up at Thanksgiving.
I make big purchases at least 4 to 6 times a month.
I did not appreciate the girl’s response to a simple and non-malice nug, and I do not believe Lowe’s wants this to be the person that customers need to interact with. Not only was she rude and belligerent to me, but the customer on the phone was witness to the event as well. She was not aware of other customers in her area. even when I came up and was waiting to be checked out, as she was facing me. Elle had to move from her station to assist me. The girl in the Lumber check out immediately acknowledge me even tho I was just standing there.
This was a very unpleasant interaction in your store, mostly due an employee who has no sense that she is there to help the customer, not to ignore, insult and berate the customer
. I would appreciate their response for this event.

Appliance purchase

"Purchased a refrigerator on 6-14. Supposed to be delivered on 6-22. Called the delivery company to confirm delivery time, and they had no record. Called Lowes and they said delivery to store was scheduled for 6-26. Physically went to Lowes on 6-26 to confirm delivery, (re)scheduled for 6-28 (being skeptical by now, saw delivery date on store screen). Called delivery company, and again they had no record. Called Lowes 6-27 and advised by manager that earliest delivery was 6-29. To suggest the Lowes folks were lying would assume a level of competency not demonstrated. Totally unacceptable. Last transaction with Lowes. "

Helpful, courteous and knowledgeable staff, decent stock, clean store

"Nine times out of 10 a staff member knows where product is even if it's at the other end of the store; and if they're not sure, they'll find another team member who has the answer. Often enough they'll ask if I'm able to find what I'm looking for, and if they don't carry it will either offer to order it if it's in their network and often enough have offered information as to where I might be able to find what I'm looking for if they don't carry it.
Check out is usually quick; I admit that my timing is not always best, like showing up during lunch hours, so this is to be expected. They need to eat, and take breaks, too. A happy team member is a good team member.
