"I have the Lorex LH14000H installed in my home and use it when away from home, particularly during the winter months. It has worked perfectly and in the motion sensing mode it sends me an email with a supporting jpg file, when motion is sensed. "My first exposure to Lorex was after working with two other video providers. One customer recommended the name from a "friend" that had a system installed.

Being an IT Manager with twenty six years experience I am always open to working with different vendors products. I do claim to be a vendor agnostic IT professional and will always do my due diligence when reviewing products.

In this case, the Lorex site, the Lorex name and the products I've used to date are the quickest, easiest to both manage and install and the best solution for a myriad of installation types.

First, the products listed on the site LNR series for my specific use, have all worked flawlessly out-of-the-box. Packaging clearly shows care in product handling too.

Next, installation of the POE devices couldn't be more straight-forward. They provide the total solution. A Power Over Ethernet switch, a 2tb hard drive worth up to weeks of motion detection recording, and 100' of CAT cable capable of handling the video traffic as well as the power through some pretty heavy duty cables. Meaning you can run these cables over and around plenty of equipment, lighting or outside without worrying about conduits or extra protection.

Finally, the installation, configuration and management of the system is very simple. I can't explain in more detail. The interface on both the device itself and the software for the PC, Android and/or the iPhone is easy. The designers should be complimented for considering the small screens of smartphones and the need to reach the components most people will want right up front.

All in all, the systems are hands-down 100 percent better than the competition. I highly recommend the products I've used, but can assume that based on my existing experience the others work as seamless and simple as the systems I've had first hand knowledge of."
