Horrible company and terrible product!

"Lights arrived broken and remote control did not work. After contacting customer service, I was asked to send pictures of the issue. Well, how exactly do you sent a picture of a remote control that doesn’t work? They finally approved the return, but have not refunded my money. I’ve emailed customer service 3 times but have not received a response. Buyer beware!"

Poor Return Policy

"I placed an order on 31 Oct 19 from GMA Deals & Steals promotion, lights.com processed my order on 04 Nov 19 & received items on the 10th. Some items didn't perform as expected & some were falling apart. Wanted to return some items but was informed that there was a 7 day return policy from time of ORDER. I cannot find this policy anywhere & my packing slip does NOT state that this is a final sale. When I ordered these items, it was not posted that these items were a final sale purchase. I was under the impression that these items were promotional items not clearance items. No where on their website does lights.com cover or state a promotional return policy. Cloaking is unacceptable business practice."

Buyer beware!

"Ship times are not accurate, false advertisement!!!!! They do not even have access to some of the lights on their website. Customer service is near impossible to get in touch with. Shop elsewhere and save yourself a huge headache. "

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

"I ordered a lamp on August 22nd, and it arrived a few days later. The lamp didn't work. I called customer service and left a message, emailed, and tried to use their online portal. It took 2 days to reach someone, and they were telling me great ideas like "did you plug it in" "Did you try a light bulb", etc. and the worst customer service reply "Well, we've never had an issue with that lamp before". WHO CARES? MINE ISN'T WORKING!

So I told her I ordered it for my guest room and had the guests coming the next day, which she didn't care about. She said I can mail it back for them to "look at". I said how about overnighting a replacement and I will mail this one back. She said they won't do that. I said, then you should give me a partial refund. She said she can't do that, but I can have a 10% off coupon for my next order! What a joke. BTW, I never got the 10% off coupon.

I mailed the lamp back Aug 23rd. It is not SEPTEMBER 18th and they are fist shipping the replacement or repaired lamp back to me today! 26 DAYS LATER. No apology, no discount. Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with.

Nice products, but if you lamp isn't working, be prepared to deal with incompetence and people who give zero sh*ts about their customers.

Customer Service is lacking

"I ordered the Prospect floor lamp on 11/12. After a week of waiting for an update, I contacted customer service through the chat feature on the website. I waited several minutes until someone answered and they simply said that it would shipped out that week. I waited another week and nothing. I called but no one answered. I sent an email and someone responded a few days later with the explanation that the product was being held at the port and they could say exactly when it would be released but hoped for that week. I waited another week and still nothing. I contacted them again through chat and it took 20 minutes for them to tell me that "it would ship out soon". Luckily, a few days later I got a shipping notification and received the lamp and bulb on 12/7...almost a month after I ordered it. I understand things get delayed, but it would have been helpful and I would have given 5 stars if they would have communicated better to me what was going on and would have cared more when they did interact with me. Otherwise, the lamp works and looks great. Just a shame about their customer service. I will not order again from them. "

Nonexistent customer service

"I purchased two flameless candles from their website specifically because I needed a specific size and the description said there was 4 and 8 hour timer. What I received had no timer on the candles. When I called, the CS agent was super unhelpful, he sounded about as thrilled to be helping as someone's sullen 13 year old. He tried to tell me the remote was sold separately. I reiterated that I was not talking about the remote, I was talking about the item description (which has since been changed on the website, I noticed) which read "4 and 8 hour timer" there was no mention on the website I had to purchase a remote FOR THE TIMER to work. I had to ask him, he did not offer, necessary info on how to get a return started. Completely unprofessional demeanor and the opposite of a pro-active CS agent. Sent the stupid candles back on my dime, which cost me $13 for $40 worth of merch. Was hoping to get a complete refund since it was their error not mine. I got the email that the return was received by the company, But no refund. 12 days later I reluctantly called again. Same agent told me that I already was issued a refund. I said, "that's funny I never got my PayPal notification as such" and I asked him to specifically email me the refund info. Lo and behold 2 hours later I got my PayPal notice of refund, minus the shipping of course. So, he lied on the phone with me - didn't even process the refund until after I'd called. I'm still wanting my shipping cost reimbursed, but I give up dealing with this poorly run company. I do a lot of online shopping, and I have NEVER had such a lackadaisical, couldn't care less attitude from an agent on the phone. Never shopping with them again. "

"Ordered 14 - 6 inch flameless candles September 4th for my daughters wedding on Oct. 18. They took nearly 2 weeks to start sending them and then after waiting for them 4 were broken. I let the company know right away. They sent the replacements to the wrong customer, then the had took even more time sending them to themselves and finally they arrived on Oct. 21. Three days after the wedding. Yes they were aware. EPIC FAIL Cannot recommend them at all."

"Lights.com provided me with EXCELLENT service. First, after signing up they gave me a coupon code for 7% off my next purchase and when I tried to apply it, the system wouldn't accept it. So I placed my order anyway and wrote them a "complaint" that I should be credited 7%. The next day, it was refunded. So quality service on that front. But then when I got my order it was wrong. I ordered 5 green and 5 blue lights but got 3 green and 7 blue. So I went on live chat and they shipped out a replacement package of the two green lights free of charge. They didn't ask me to return the two blues I got so now I am getting 12 sets for the price of 10! I can't wait to get them in the mail. I don't think I've ever had such great service before. Great company and I will definitely shop here again."
