"Lightingcatalog.com (LC) and e/Faucets.com are the same people. Customer service is interchangeable with these two entities. I purchased a light from LC which was to be shipped immediately. One month and numerous calls later, waiting almost one hour on hold each time, the lighting fixture was received. The customer service responses to my calls often gave me hopeful, but false, information regarding where my light was, if posted, etc. They never once called or e-mailed me to tell me it was back-ordered, would be later than quoted, etc. I had to make all the calls, and really had to hold for almost an hour each time to get to a person. Their return policy, even if you receive a defective product, is one of the worst. Fortunately, my light arrived in good condition so I didn't have to deal with them re this issue. Suggest you do not deal with them unless you enjoy lies, delays and silence from the company. Go to the e/Faucets review on this sight to see a lot of negative reviews re these sister companies with interchangeable Customer Service."

"No items are in stock! Do not order from this company. I ordered an "in stock" that supposedly ships in 24-48 hours. After not receiving a shipping confirmation after 3 business days, I called. The rep had to call the place that actually has the item to check on it's shipping status. She said it was going out that day. It did not so I called back. The second rep told me that they couldn't get in touch with the company that has my item so would get back to me with it's status. She never did. Still waiting for my shipping confirmation! The website sucks as well. You can't check on the status of your order online unless you were logged into your account when you ordered it."

"After waiting 10 days for shipment confirmation of my "in stock" item, I called customer service at LightingCatalog.com today. After 4 attempts with extended wait times and one hang up on me, the customer service person told me that there had been a computer glitch and the order had never been placed with the manufacturer of the light I ordered. When I told her that there were over 30 of these items "In Stock" on their website when I orded them, she informed me that "In Stock" means in stock at their supplier, not at their own warehouse. She told me that Lighting Catalog is just a call center and that for every order they get, they have to turn around and place an order with the manufacturer, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO STOCK!

Beware of this Company. They use deceptive practices misinformation to sell their products. If you are buying lighting on-line, use somebody else.

"They claim you can return a product if unstatisfird for any reason. If you read the fine print it states you may return any product within 30 days if "it has never been opened". How are you to tell if the product would fit your needs if you never opened the box? I bought a $1,000 chandelier and took it out of the box and the finish was not what I expected. I was stuck with it and had to spend extra money to have it refinished.

There return policy is a scam! I would never take a chance unless you are absolutely sure it is what you want and wil not be returning it.

"I wish I had found this site before I ordered from these guys. I ordered 10 replacement bulbs for my outdoor lights. Since the bulb base size was not listed on the website, I called them directly. I was told the bulbs would fit my lamps which called for a G8.6 T4. When the bulbs arrived they were G6.35 T4 bulbs which won't fit. I called customer service and was told they do not carry the size I need and that bulbs were nonreturnable even though they hadn't even been opened from the shrink wrapped boxes! Shame on me for not checking reviews prior to ordering. It won't happen again. Stay away from www.lightingcatalog.com unless you just like to gamble. Remember the house has the advantage."

"I ordered the wrong part (my mistake - I was given the wrong information). I contacted customer service and was then told it was a special order and they do not return or exchange special orders. When I placed the order on-line, no where did it state this was a special order. Now I am out $53.00. I will never do business with them and will not recommend."

"After ordering 3 light fixtures with the color description of "brushed silver" they arrived. I tried to cancel the order the day I placed it, as I was wary of the store, and they claimed the items had already shipped and that I could return them.
They arrived a few days later and were not any shade of silver that I have ever seen. They look like a poorly bronzed color.
I called to return them and they said I couldn't. It's against their policy to "cancel an order after it has been placed."
Do not purchase from this merchant. If you are not satisfied they do not care and will not help you.

"I ordered a lamp shade on the 24th January and my payment was processed immediately. 25 days later I was still waiting for the lamp shade with no status update to my order details on the web site. I have now chased this order up and have been told that they have no delivery date. A reputable company would have checked this before taking your payment. NOT TO BE TRUSTED! The worst company I have dealt with over the internet"

"Do NOT order here. Items not in stock, sent to wrong address, and return policy is terrible. I wish i read reviews prior to wasting money. They sent me comparable items because the ones advertised were not available. We didn't like new ones so we returned and didn't get refund. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"There should be a way to give negative star ratings to companies like this one. Just like everyone else, I was sucked into ordering from them 5/28/11 because the website lied about having my item in stock. Heard nothing from them for a week but saw they had already charged my credit card. Customer service (HAH!) said available within a week, of course I heard nothing further from them. Cancelled my order 6/27/11 & nearly 2 months later have yet to receive a refund."

"Shame on me for not checking these reviews first.

I ordered an "IN STOCK" light fixture today from LightingCatalog.com. Two hours later they emailed to say it was not available and would typically be 3-4 weeks to get it from the distributor. I emailed back to cancel the order because I needed to find a new light fixture right away. Their response was to cancel the order, but it would be 10-14 days to "process" the cancellation. I guess they need my money for a while. Their final response was "We are sorry for any inconvenience these policies may cause."

This all happened in about a four hour time span.

"Don't bother. That is if you want your item to arrive in this decade.
Mine (a replacement glass shade for a Kovacs fixture) FINALLY got here after over a month. I recommend lumens.com instead. Had I known they carried the item, I'd have ordered it from them.

"I selected to buy from this company only because their website claimed to have all of my items "in-stock". I submitted my online order in August 2010. I waited 3 weeks and nothing arrived. I called the company and they "lost" my order so the customer service rep pushed my order into the processing queue. 3 weeks later a box of broken glass arrived and was shipped back for replacements. 2 weeks later one item arrives but the other never came with it. No communication from Lighting Catalog about why or when the item would be sent, so I called them. They said it would be 4 more weeks until the item would be in-stock again. So I wait. It was suppose to arrive last week so I call them today only to hear from a rude customer service rep that it'll be 4 more weeks! What a nightmare. Oh, and don't expect to get a quick refund. That'll take a couple weeks too.

One last note, to reach someone at Lighting Catalog takes about 30 minutes of hold time. Huge wait of time. Buy anywhere else.
