Absolutely First Class Service!

"I ordered a Madrid Dual Torch Flame Cigar Lighter, which was shipped promptly by Lighters Direct. When it arrived in at my home in Canada I was looking forward to using a sleek torch lighter with a built-in cutter. Unfortunately, when I fuelled it for the first time and then tried it out, on first click I discovered that the fuel filler valve was leaking and so the lighter lit up from both ends. YIKES! Fortunately, I was paying attention and have quick reactions so no harm was done.

I sent an email asking whether I may have done something wrong. This was at 5:30 PM Pacific time, so about 8:30 PM Texas time. Within a half hour I got a return email asking whether I’d like them to send me a replacement. Impressive!

The replacement lighter arrived today and on unpacking it I noticed that the shipping notice in the package had a handwritten note.......”Replacement - inspect before shipping”. That, my friends, is thorough follow up on a customer service issue. Five Star Service from a Responsible and Reputable Vendor!!

Did not receive item

"Item showed in stock and still shows in stock. Was advised after reaching out about my order not shipped, that item was backorder. Offered refund or ship in a week, which I said I’d wait. A week later I got a refund without notice. When I reached out again to ask, they said that they did not get it in the order so they refunded. "

Terrible Customer Service

"Ordered a black lighter from this company, they sent me an orange one. Wrong color, ok I get it sometimes we make mistakes. However, when I went to return it, they told me they would send me a return label which promptly never showed up in my email. So I checked back in. They then proceeded to tell me that b/c of THEIR delay I was outside of the return window, thus, unable to return my orange lighter I didn't order. I've never written a review of a company before, but this customer experience was so beyond bad that I felt like I had a duty to warn others. Avoid"

False advertizing

"Item depicted is an older quality lighter. Lighter i recieved is a cheapo.
Flame shoots over 6 inches on lowest setting. LD refuses to mail me a return slip, i do not have the ability to print a pdf label.
They have changed the pic...still not the lighter they are selling!
FALSE ADVERTIZING
They ripped me off!
Also took several days to get any response. Im not going away...i detest online scammers!

Do not go anywhere near this company!

"Firstly, they have everything on their website as stocked, you purchase your product and then you'll get an e-mail 2 days later stating that your item is out of stock. So all the best chasing them up via e-mail for a refund, because you'll end up sending e-mail after e-mail without them resolving anything. As for me, I've had to escalate a claim through PayPal and now am waiting for my refund, they should have just refunded me immediately when the item was out of stock. This has been a horrible experience. In my opinion, look elsewhere when looking to get cigar accessory products or similar."

Order not shipped for 50 days

"I ordered two lighters on February 7 and received nothing until I called 3 days in a row March 27-29. Finally received shipping confirmation on March 29th. Cannot comment on quality of product but the communication and handling of my order was the worst customer service experience of my life. "

"the product itself is beautiful, arrived as expected. unfortunately, my credit card was compromised after making the purchase online. I never buy anythi by online, I did for this gift, and then had my acct number used to purchase video games for hundreds of dollars! my only comment is that lighters direct needs tighter security"

Poor Customer service and incomplete product.

"Lighter is good, but the engraving was not added that I paid for. Had to rush around to get it engraved elsewhere and they did not want to refund me for the additonal cost I incurred. Very dissatisfied with their lack of care and concern. Poor customer service."

Broken product, bad service

"Ordered a cigar cutter for $24 + $7 shipping. Product arrived broken, exchanged a couple of emails including having to send a picture of the broken product. Then had to send the item back, signature receipt ($15) and still no word on replacement. What's the need for a picture of the broken product if it has to be sent back anyway? Avoid Lightersdirect.com - stick with Amazon."

Horrible Customer Service

"I ordered a product from them a while back and everything went fine as expected, tell a friend of mine about the company and to order online and it didnt go well for him. So after he attempted to order the product twice with no success he asked me to order it for him with rush delivery. So when I tried to order the product with expedited shipping which was done late on a Sunday night everything seemed fine, the order went threw. Well on Wednesday I received a email that I didnt select a shipping option. After what took place with my friend I insisted they fix there mistake by sending the product asap for free. But like all **** companies they feel its my fault so they refused to do anything to retain me as a customer. Insisting I made a error until I pointed out one simple fact, why did the website allow me to purchase a item with no shipping information? A online company should have a decent enough website to not allow you to purchase a product without all the necessary information entered. After I pointed that out to the customer service person emailing me well all communication stopped which again is very typical of a **** company. So I am denying the transaction on my credit card and then my friend who ordered the product twice online never received any confirmation or product, But when he looked at his credit card they charged him for it both times. Well when he called lighters direct after he found out they charged him both times and they said they never received his payment, to make a longer story short he had to deny the transaction from his credit card to receive his money back and so did I. Will never use them again"
