I experienced an onset of drowsiness approximately an hour after taking 200 mg, which is the recommended dose. It was not an unpleasant or overly-groggy feeling, but instead, a pleasant calm that also relaxed my legs and seemed to help ease my mind. It lasted much of the night, and I woke up very comfortable in my bed, again, with my legs very relaxed.
I find the quality of the product is exceptional. And you can't beat the fact that there is only one ingredient in the tub.
It is very different form melatonin, valerian root, and other sleep aids I have tried in the past. And enjoyably so.
