The letters "stick" to almost anything that is properly prepared (clean and smooth). The company does not recommend them for outdoor use, but I do. I attached mine to a painted metal sign that was not really all that smooth and I then sprayed a clear overcoat on it - works great and withstands the weather. This is one of the best companies I have ever worked with and the product is excellent."
