"I have ordered Rostra Backup Sensor system from Lessco. I usually do not write reviews but unlike some of the reviewers here, I had a very good purchase experience with Lessco.
I am in Toronto(Canada) and they gave me a decent price including shipping.
The staff was very cooperative and knowledgeable.
They even help me with Canadian custom’s regulations, which was impressive.
I have not tested or installed the product yet, but seems in a perfect condition. God forbid if something is wrong, hopefully they’d help me out.
The product was shipped quickly and arrived way before the expected delivery date (very impressive). Package included everything they told me.
I must say the staff was very friendly and professional. They answered the phone everytime I called them. Tint World in Florida also recommended these guys to me.
Based on my personal experience, I highly recommend this company. I would gladly do business again if required.

"I ordered an item on 12/17 for a Christmas present. I knew it likely wouldn't get here in time for Christmas, but that would be ok. I sent an email on 12/29 asking for a status update because it was supposed to have free 7 day shipping.I did get a reply on 12/30 telling me they were unable to obtain the item, so they had refunded my money on 12/18. It would have been nice to have some notification from them so I could look elsewhere for the item. "

"I purchased an Audiovov VOD1221 car DVD from LessCo. After it was installed, I found out that it was defective. I requested a replacement but LessCo did not have the same model so I asked for a refund instead. I shipped the unit back via Fedex at my own expense. I received a refund for the purchase price but not for the shipping charge of $23.30. I contacted LessCo and was told that their policy is to pay shipping on exchanges but not on returns. This does not seem fair since I would have exchanged the unit if they had another. In an attempt to resolve this issue, I have had to contact them by telephone when I do not get a response to e-mail. They do not seem to be very customer-oriented in my opinion."

"I ordered a product from Lessco electronics on Sept 12 ,and soon got my tracking number wich did not work for 2 weeks. I sent them a email asking them where my order was and why the tracking was not working, and got no reply from them. When I opened up a PayPal claim against them, I got a email back stating that they had trouble trying to get the item. Why they didn't tell me this in the first place is beyond me. Finally the tracking number was working, but they sent it to the wrong address! I still am waiting to get my money back. I would never tell anyone to buy from them. complete incompetence! "

"Ive been ordering remote start products from lessco for over a year now for my side jobs, almost no one on-line can touch there quality or prices on alot of products they offer, especially bypass modules for remote starts etc.... also i live in reno, nevada, and lessco is in new york, shipping has always been 2-3 days from the time ive ordered! I think once out of 60 plus orders i got the wrong dash kit for a deck install, and he sent the right one out that day free of charge. The owner of lessco electronics is hands down the most customer service oriented guy ive ever come across with ordering electronics online. Again there prices are dirt cheap, and if they arnt cheap enough, check out there products on ebay...even cheaper!!!!! thanks again buddy, and you definetly have a customer for life!! greg-reno,nv"

"I have ordered from this company 3 times. The first order was ok but the second order I did not receive for a long time and when I emailed to inquire about the order they said the item was discontinued and replaced with a new item# then they asked if it was ok to send the new item# which I agreed to, but when I received it the product was not like the original item ordered. My third order with this company has been in "Processing" for 2 weeks and they show that I have not paid for the order yet. I did pay for the order using PayPal and received payment confirmation from PayPal that the transaction was completed and the funds were in fact deducted from my PayPal account. I also paid for 2nd Day Air shipping so I would have the order by Christmas. I have emailed the company 3 times and have received absolutely no reply. I ended up ordering what I needed through Amazon.com and found them there for a cheaper price. I now have filed a dispute through PayPal and will escalate my dispute to a claim requesting the charges to be reversed. I will not do business with Lessco Electronics again. "

"My experience with Lessco Electronics was not favorable. I liked the product online and made a purchase. The money was deducted from my account and I assumed the product was shipped. However, I checked back 6 days later and noticed I had a "temporary credit" in my bank account and the status of the order said "processing". Since I had made the purchase as a Christmas gift, I was worried that the product hadn't shipped and wouldn't make it on time. I called the store and was told it had shipped and they would email me the tracking number and that sometimes the status just isn't updated quickly. About 10 minutes later, they called me back to say that they hadn't shipped it. Apparently, the product wasn't in stock in their warehouse and they had contacted the manufacturer to drop ship it. But the manufacturer was out of stock as well. So they refunded my account (which was the only good part of my experience). However, they didn't notify me at all that they were going to cancel my order and that the product wasn't available anymore. If I hadn't called to ask, I wouldn't have known and would have been waiting for something that was never going to arrive. The person I talked to at the store was nice enough once she realized that the error was on their part, but until then, she acted as though I was an inconvenience. I will not purchase anything from Lessco Electronics again after the unreliable service I received. If they had notified me immediately of the circumstances, I would have been upset, but I would have understood."

"I did not have a good experience here. I ordered what was stated as a Compustar Remote Start kit. When in fact all that arrived were two remotes and an antenna. No brains for the kit. Upon contacting them they did admit that that kit needs a separate brain purchased. Funny how the description of the product does not indicate that at all. After asking for a refund I stopped getting any emails back to me. "
