Bayberry candles

"Do not order the Bayberry candles from this business.They come wrapped in tissue only. The presentation is terrible. They also do not fit a standard size candle holder for tapered candles. It will cost you at least $20 for these candles you cannot use. To ship them back will cost even more so it’s really not worth them. Their customer service is also not very helpful."

Order canceled without explanation!

"I placed an order for an item that showed in stock. 2 weeks later I hadn't received any shipping information. When I spoke to customer service, they claimed it was in line to ship out in a few days. A week later I checked on my order and it was gone. NOT shipped but canceled. I will never order from this company again."

Customer service is exceedingly poor as of April 2020

"I placed an order, which was somewhat delayed in arriving. One ordered item was placed on the inventory list twice, but only one was delivered. One item arrived broken. When I placed a call to the customer service line, I experienced an approximately 10 minute wait on hold, then the person I spoke with could not address my problem; they could only pass a complaint to the Warehouse team. Days went by with no response. I filled out an online report. Nothing. A second call resulted in the same runaround: long hold, customer service rep unable to help me. An effort to speak to someone in the retail store resulted in circular recorded message response, never a live person. I am still waiting. DO NOT TRUST LEHMAN'S TO PROVIDE YOU WITH WHAT YOU ORDER OR TO ADDRESS YOUR PROBLEM WHEN THEY DO NOT, IN A TIMELY OR RESPONSIVE MANNER. NO MORE OF MY BUSINESS WILL GO TO LEHMAN'S, EVER."

"I have spent enough money in this place to be a part owner. I am very happy with the products, prices, and services. Two years ago I went to Ohio to visit the retail store. It was amazing! If you go to visit, just watch out for all the horse and buggy people on the road. They are everywhere up there."

"Located in the heart of Amish country in Ohio, Lehman's is a home goods and hardware brick-and-mortar retailer with a very impressive web presence. I recently ordered two hurricane oil lanterns from them and here are my observations.

1. Their website, although somewhat busy, is extensive and very well constructed. Finding what I wanted, as well as some useful information about their goods, was easy and rewarding.

2. They carry a very large inventory of hardware and home supplies, and their prices are highly competitive.

3. I did not sign up for an email-based login account but instead ordered without one. Their website does not provide a way of checking order status without an account, a small but annoying nit. I had to call customer service to ascertain its status. I got through to them with no wait and the woman I spoke with was very friendly and helpful.

4. The lanterns were packed professionally and with great care. Shipping was reasonably fast and inexpensive ($10) but unfortunately they use "UPS Surepost" which delivers the package to a local US Post Office who must then take over the delivery to your address. This almost always adds at least one extra day (and sometimes more) to the delivery time.

To summarize, I was happy with the entire transaction overall and I would not hesitate to order from Lehman's again. If they would modify their website to allow order status checking via order number and some other secure information, and change shipping to regular UPS, they would easily earn five stars.
