the worst

"The worst experience. Laptop arrived on time (i had fast delivery) , but it has been almost 2 weeks since I am asking the company to fix system that did not work. I had to send it back, but there is no communication from company, I have to call them periodically, wait for the connection, then for the call back. They give me no clue when am I going to get my laptop back or they will pay the money back. Very inconvenient.
After all, there was no need for fast delivery or anything, i just wish I had a laptop to work with, but seems company does not care about their customers too much.

Very bad service and communication..

"Stay away, such a bad service, to start with ordered refurbished(as new laptop) from them paid for 12 months insurance and delivery, delivery arranged, msg sent by them that it will be delivered on Tue morning, by DX delivery company unfortunately I missed them with couple of min, email sent from Laptops direct to rearrange delivery- done for the next day. Comes next day no msg or news checked the tracking number says its been delivered on the previous day- no card left whatsoever. Called Laptopsdirect to been told that the item was damaged and return to them, why do they ask me to re arrange delivery then??
Thurs morning talking to them again to find where it is - they were looking at, Friday got a call to be assured they are lookig at the case, finally in the afternoon they found out that it was delivered to my neighbour- no card left to say that and confusing msgs from Laptops Direct. Got the laptop in the end started it, the fan is making noise like helicopter... Called them on Monday said I am not happy with the whole thing, assured by customer service -Mani that I they will arrange collecting on the next day and I will get a call on the same day from technical team to suggest new laptop for me- never got that call, Tue week after I was supposed to have laptop already the faulty one collected, still no call from tech guys to suggest alternative option. Wed, Thur calling and emailing them- answer is they need to receive it and test it and then I will get suggestions, Friday - 10 days later I've told them I had enough and would like refund from them otherwise I will do a bad review, got immediate refund(3 working day yet to receive my money in my account) but only for the laptop not the extra insurance I've done.
Another call and arguing with them, reference number given to call my bank, another refund done for the insurance, called the bank no transfer of course and still waiting.
Nearly 3 weeks now and no laptop or refund in my account so I can buy new laptop, overall bad communication and service, not even an attempt to at least do a good will gesture as an apology- they don't have such thing in place...

Livid

"Livid! Bought 2 laptops, one wouldn't start up so we called their customer service number ( 0871 ) 4 times. One time we were on hold for ages. Finally we reverted to email and they eventually mended the faulty laptop, HOWEVER, some days later we received our phone bill....£60 for 4 calls to Laptop Direct! The call when we were on hold and never even got to speak to anyone was £30 alone!
DO NOT trust this company, they are making a lot of money on customer service numbers ontop of sending out faulty products.
Rip off!

"Will not replace brand new faulty item!
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Bought AirPods as a present for my daughters birthday. They are faulty as they won’t pair. Laptops direct are saying it’s nothing to do with them and I should take it up with Apple. They are brand new, I bought them from laptops direct so it has everything to do with them. I am housebound and unable to get to an Apple store which is why I was shopping online! Atrocious customer service. Wish I had bought from Argos. Avoid at all costs!

"brand new" faulty MacBook

"bought a "brand new" MacBook arrived after 2 weeks, wouldn't switch on for more than 2 days and several keyboards don't work! when asked for the product to be replaced because it was obviously faulty and not new they just gave me apple number and told me to fix it myself! really? scammers that's what they are! if you want an apple legit product just go directly with apple! "

"Terrible company they amending my order since 6/10 every 2/3 days they just sending me messages with "apologies for amended delivery" at the moment expected delivery is on 23/10 but somehow i have feelings that they will fail again.

Awful Customer Service, DO NOT BUY FROM!

"Ordered a refurbished laptop (27th August) that was stated as having the highest refurbished grade, A1. I had the laptop for a total of a day and a half before it crashed and wouldn't turn back on; obviously a driver problem. Spoke to customer services and they told me I had to return it to them. Did that, the same day, they received it two days later. After waiting a week, I was emailed several times first saying they were sending a replacement out and then stating they didn't have another and that I'd be contacted within 2 days (not two WORKING days, just two days). On the fourth day I finally received an email with a number I had to call because apparently they'd been trying to contact me unsuccessfully (despite my phone having no missed calls). I spent an hour trying to reach anyone using the number and when I did get through, the man on the other end was completely unsympathetic, didn't once apologise for any inconvenience and wasn't interested in what I had to say at all. I asked for a full refund and was told it would be with me in 3-5 working days.
Will never order anything from them again, the customer service lines were expensive and hold times were ridiculous. 1/5 stars only because I got my money back eventually.

Edit: 25/09/2019 - Had to ring customer services YET AGAIN, because I received an email saying another replacement request had been put in and I'd be hearing from the sales team in another two days. Rang up, the guy on the other end of the phone said that the sales team had put in another request and he 'didn't know why they'd done that'. I do, it's because they're clearly incompetent at their jobs. After I doubled checked that it was definitely cancelled and I was still getting my refund, I was quickly dismissed with a quick 'thanks, bye now'. Utter JOKE.

Avoid at all cost!

"My experience with Laptops Direct has been abysmal.

I ordered an "in stock" laptop a week ago. When it didn't arrive after 3-4 days I called the customer service team and was told it would arrive on the Monday. It's now Tuesday and no laptop! I have just called and been advised that their system doesn't update stock realtime and that the laptops were on order. The date now being quoted for delivery of my laptop is now 2 weeks after the order date!!!

Fully enough the product is still showing as available and in stock on their website.

I have called approx 5 times now and never got through to the customer service number in less than 24 mins.

The service is appalling. I have cancelled my order.

I work in IT and will ensure that none of my colleagues make the same mistake as myself and order anything from this cowboy outfit of a company!

To rub salt in the wounds I have been advised that my refund may take 3-5 days to process.

Unhappy.

They Just flat out lie

"Bought an ASUS gaming laptop that broke within 24hrs so sent it back to be repaired. After a week of not hearing anything i chased them up and was told it wasn't fixable. I could either wait till September for one to come in stock, refund or be given a completely different one from what i ordered. Took a day to think and decided i would wait for more stock. Phoned them back up to tell them, only to be told that they WERE NOT getting any in stock and that the 4 people who informed me the day before that was actually an option "got it wrong" IE: lied
Needless to say i asked for a refund. Since it was actually my only option at that point. Why would i take a random laptop from you? There is no way it was going to be the same spec or better, clearly were gonna send me a lesser product so they could cash in. The company is a joke, rude and clearly are opening themselves to a lawsuit if this is how they conduct business. No compensation offers, no help just a downright awful company. Pay attention to the bad reviews the good ones are properly fake anyhow.

Appalling service. Avoid
This is the first bad review I've left on this type of website - however I feel compelled to recommend against this company.

Ordered a laptop on 24th July. Was very pleased with the specification for the price. Laptop was showing as 'in stock' on website and available for delivery within 24 hours. I chose to go for free delivery which it said could take "up to 7 days".

Couple of days later, received an email saying delivery on 31st July (which would have been great).

However, then got an email the day before saying that delivery was delayed due to circumstances out of control (due to courier changing their schedule in my area). Ok no big deal. Postponed to 2nd August.

By midday on 1st I'd heard nothing and was keen to work out what was happening so I could arrange for someone to be home to take delivery. Emailed laptopsdirect after not being able to get through by phone (after waiting 30 minutes). Got a reply that delivery would now be delayed until week after, as they were now only getting stock in on the 2nd. No apology and they explained that this date was in line with their commitment to get it to me by 9th August. No idea where this date came from; my order details screen from their website said clearly "within 7 days".

Accordingly, I responded requesting a coherent explanation as to what was actually going on.

Then received an email saying product "no longer available". I called to sort next steps, as no one was in touch with me, and the laptops being offered as replacement were not a patch on what I'd originally ordered.

Asked what complaints procedure was and was told "there isn't really one". Order was cancelled and I was transferred to customer services to explain my concerns. After 5 mins on hold I thought I'd explain on here instead.

Hoping my refund comes through promptly as cannot see this company being around much longer.

Item is still showing 'in stock' for delivery within 24 hours on the website...

How this company can still be trading is beyond me. I ordered an in stock laptop for next day delivery and even got an email saying it was out for delivery. 4 days later no laptop. Called them to cancel order, they said OK I would get refund in 3-5 working days. 8 working days, no refund. Called again and was told a error was made by them and they had to wait for the laptop to be returned so they could check it was in good order before issuing refund....I hadn't recieved any laptop! AAAAGH! Now they say could be up to 28 days before I get refund.
Have raised dispute with credit card company.
Avoid them like the plague.

Cant complain about the service... because there isnt any!

"What can I say, after my laptop was damaged beyond repair I was on the hunt for a quick replacement for running my home business without disruption. I paid £1800 for a high spec thin and light laptop who laptops direct advertised as "In stock", after being offered "Free" delivery I was given a delivery date over 2 weeks away... It just so happened I could pay for postage for £5 to have it the same week?! So after calling one of their friendly sales people up they were happy enough to take my money and move delivery to the same week.

Within 30 minutes of placing the order I was emailed saying the laptop was out of stock and they couldn't provide a date when its would return into stock. I called the sales guy back straight away but was presented with voicemail on multiple occasions throughout the day. I contact them directly through the number advertised on their website and to my surprise it was a premium rate number, after being on hold for a few minutes and finally speaking to somebody I was told the sales guy would call back... No call later I tried again on the premium number this time I requested for a refund to go with another online retailer and they gladly obliged. 4 days later an I still haven't received a refund and now I don't have the money to buy a replacement from somewhere else. Thanks Laptop direct for doing me over and giving me a large phone bill in the process.

No laptop direct No LG

"I purchase an LG monitor. First the monitor was not as per specification. THe monitor was missing dual controller option which is specified. Then laptop direct has just sent me an automated email that someone will contact you. It has been 48 hours no human has contacted me. and all they say we have a case manager assigned who is doing the investigation.. I am like it's not a complicated mystery that you have to hire sherlock holmes.. It's a simple product not as per specification case.Pick up the ring Lg and confirm my complain but all I have received so far is apologies from Laptop direct instead of actual support"

Beware ----sent laptop under spec

"Please be wary of this company .

I ordered a laptop for 333.00 + VAT and they sent me an under spec laptop advertised for 199.00 + VAT .
They will not refund the difference and have only offered me a refund of £50.00.
Have complained to Trading Standards who confirm that they should refund the full difference but they still refuse.
Avoid this company but if you do use , make sure you check the Spec of the Machine they send you
