"Will never deal with this seller again. Bought a laptop battery that was listed as having a 3-year warranty. Battery failed completely only after 6 months. All emails and live chats with them have been completely useless. I agree with a previous reviewer. they give you the run-around just long enough so the ebay cutoff for refunds expires. it took 6 weeks and 15 phone calls and 20 emails to get a new battery sent back to me... Read all the reviews here and be warned ... laptopz.com and all other web sites... "Will never deal with this seller again. Bought a laptop battery that was listed as having a 3-year warranty. Battery failed completely only after 3 months. "Ordered a battery for my Toshiba Laptop and gave them the model before making the order. They sent the wrong battery and expected me to pay shipping back to them for a refund. When I screw up in my company, I make things correct. LaptopZ is a “very poor” Internet provider. Also, no direct customer service number to call. Do not use this company. Found my battery at Toshiba.com and it was shipped the next day!!!"

"I originally ordered the silver dell inspiron 1525 keyboard to match my computer. They did not have any, even though the item was listed as "in stock" on the site. After emailing back and forth I settled for a black one because the price was right.
I get the keyboard to discover that it was not the same as the one pictured, in fact it looked nothing like it. Then i discovered that it was broken. It had shipped to me with a piece of cardboard rubber banded to it and in a regular bubble mailer. Of course it arrived broken...

The return process was a pain.

Apparently this company is based inside someones apartment/home or it is seriously lacking in organization and professionalism.

None of the names match. The name on my credit statement did not match the name of the site. The email addresses that i corresponded with seemed a little odd and the communication sucked.

I waited a while to write a review so that i wouldn't jump the gun and write something negative without thinking. It appears that i am still as irritated with this transaction as i was 9 months ago.

"Poor customer service...can't even answer a question properly...my problem with them was I paid for express mail and they didn't even ship me the item until 2 days after it was ordered...and now they blame the USPS for not delivering it on time. Below is the 3rd response I got from them with the same answer. I will not use them again!

We sent the item to you on Friday, Sept. 2nd. Because of the weekend, so the U.S. post service delay two days to send the item to you.

"This site does not represent themselves accurately. LaptopZ.com is run by "Yall Inc." out of Brooklyn, NY. Yall Inc.'s answering machine message is entirely in Chinese with no option for English. The phone number listed when charged by Yall Inc. is that for PayPal.

In my specific case, they sent the wrong laptop replacement screen along with a jury-rigged "adapter". When I complained, they sent an e-mail with digital photos of how to install the "adapter", which included pictures taken over a large bin of various circuit boards. It was suggested that I just didn't follow their instructions properly or everything would be fine. It wasn't.

I returned the incorrect screen for a refund. We will see if I actually receive one.

"BE AWARE of this website and don't do business. First of all they don't have a phone number, so if you have issues and want a speedy reply you have to wait a couple days to receive an email from them. I had bought a laptop screen from them and received it damaged. I sent it back to them and they agreed to send me a second one. The second screen I received was totally different. The make/model/appearance was totally different from my original screen. When I contacted them, they told me that they didn't have my screen in stock and that it was a rare screen to get. So I asked them if they sent me a wrong screen knowing that my screen was no longer in stock at the time and yet they ignored my question and suggested to give me a refund. Here lies the next problem. When they issued me the refund, they decided to keep the shipping amount for themselves saying that if they issued me the full refund then they will lose money because they already paid the shipping carrier. This site would rather gain money then gain good customer satisfaction. I told them I should receive my full refund and not a partial refund because this mistake was committed by them and not me. After a dozen emails to them and was going no where I finally contacted paypal.com to set up a claim. Once I did that they finally issued my full refund to me. If only I could've done this earlier. In summary, this company has horrible customer satisfaction ethics and is horrible at communicating. BE AWARE with them."

"STAY AWAY. Purchased an ac adaptor for a laptop on June 13.2011 Paid for express shipping with 1-2 days delivery with paypal. Received several notices with different USPS tracking numbers...all reflected that postage purchased but item never shipped. All my contact could only be email and took 24 hr each time for a response coming between 2am and 5am in the morning. It is June 17 and no more emails from them. I needed item to ship to Europe. I am putting in a dispute with Paypal and have ordered from another vendor. SOMETHING FISHY HERE."

"STAY AWAY! I ordered a replacement keyboard from Laptopz.com and one key did not work at all. I contacted customer service but it seems that department only works in midnights and I could not get timely response. Finally I got a RMA and sent the keyboard back for replacement. I haven't heard from them thereafter, until I emailed them and was told that the item was out of stock and will not be available for 15-30 days. They refused to refund the shipping cost when I asked to return the item."

"In November 2009 I purchased a MacBook laptop battery through eBay from this company doing business under the name of Laptopz. It wasn't entirely clear from the eBay listing whether the warranty was one year or three years, but the battery stopped working properly in July 2010, well within a one year period. The computer would run for a short time under battery power and then stop abruptly instead of going to sleep as it normally would when the battery is discharged. Also, the System Profiler reported the battery as being in need of replacement.

After several email exchanges, I received an RMA number and returned the battery to them in early August. Shipping confirmation showed it was received on August 5, 2010. I sent a followup email on August 18 and received a response to be patient. I then sent emails on August 26 and 31, receiving a response to wait another week. I sent two more emails on September 8 and 13th, and have not yet received a response, nor have I received a replacement battery.

The battery was originally sold for a good price and initially worked fine, but they really need to improve their handling of warranty issues. Two months is way too long!
